DCRU

I'm thrilled to have been selected a Guest DT at DCRU .

With the end of another school year and all the related activities, it’s always nice to give that special someone a gift in appreciation of all they’ve done for your child. I created this journal for a wonderful Dance instructor. It was so much fun to make.

Cut red cardstock approximately 5 ¾" x 5 ¾"
Cut white cardstock approximately 5 ¼" x 5"
Emboss white cardstock with Cuttlebug D’Vine Swirls embossing folder
Ink edges with Spun Sugar ink

Using the ballerina instructions on page 42 of the Cricut booklet,
Cut Body #1 at 4 ¾" from brown cardstock
Cut Body #1 again from offwhite cardstock (shift + body)
Cut Ballerina costume and shoes from black cardstock
Cut leggins from pink cardstock
Cut skirt and hair bows from darker shade of pink cardstock
Assemble ballerina
Add a little rouge to her cheeks with chalk

Type Dance on your computer, using a script font
Cut to 1" x 4" and ink the edges with Spun Sugar ink
Mat on pink cardstock

Assemble your journal.

Supplies:
Spiral bound notebook of any size/style/color
(my notebook is about 6" x 6")
Red, White, Black, Brown, Offwhite and Pink Prism cardstock
Cricut Expression or Original Cricut
Once Upon a Princess Cricut Cartridge
Ranger Spun Sugar Distress Ink
Cuttlebug D’Vine Swirls embossing folder
Zig glue pen
Pebbles Shimmers chalk

The beauty of creating this journal is that you can use all the scraps you’ve been accumulating all while creating a one of a kind journal that anyone would love to receive.

Thanks for looking.
