Blackleaf Step by Step

It's my turn to post another step by step project over at Blackleaf Studio . Today, I'm using last Friday's freebie.

I wanted to color in the flower with yellows and oranges so I chose my Copic colors:
Y02, Y15, Y38, G0000, G21, G84

Once I colored in my image, I stamped my sentiment in the lower right, then cut my image to size. Then I used my Ranger inking tool and Antique Linen Distress Inks to color the edges and then lightly brought the color in over my image.

Once that was completed, I chose my papers and created my card. I added the orange strip to help focus on the flower image, then added yellow brads to complete.

Why not stop by the Shop and check out the images.

Supplies:

Stamp:
Markers: Copic
Ink: Ranger Antique Linen

Cup of Cocoa

Justrite Stampers is sponsoring the caardvarks challenge this month. And the challenge was to create a mini holiday card or tag.

I love Christmas and am always looking to create something different. So I chose the Justrite Baking Stamp set and created the tag for a mug I filled with the ingredients to make hot chocolate. I die cut the tags after I stamped my images. I colored the cup with Copics and highlighted it with a Silver Spica pen which gave it a really nice sparkly shine. I used a Snow Marker on the whipped cream. When you heat set this product, it puffs up and looks really amazing.

Supplies:
Cardstock: Bazzill
Stamps: Justrite
Ink: Memento
Markers: Copic, Spica
Dies: Spellbinders, Nestabilities

Create Magic at Blackleaf Designs

Hi everyone. Today is CREATE MAGIC Monday at Blackleaf Designs!!!! Great sounding name right? What that means is that I get to share a fun tool I discovered not too long ago. Some of you may have seen me use this tool on several of my recent cards and layouts, but I wanted to show it to you in more detail. It's the
Kreaxions Circle Cutter
. This little tool can cut circles from 1" to 10" in diameter quickly and easily. I have never found a circle cutter I have loved, but I think I've found it in this baby. Small, easy to handle and it cuts circles perfectly. What more can you ask for. Check out the
Just Imagine Crafts store
for the tool and Blackleaf's blog for my creation.

Justrite Stamps challenge #29

The challenge at Justrite Stampers this week is to create a card based upon a provided sketch. I do love sketches because they can provide such inspiration.

I used the Justright Stitched with Love set along with the Spellbinders Nestabilities Labels 11. I cut out the hearts for the bottom of the page. Rather than coloring in my images, I chose to outline them with Spica pens for a nice glittery effect.
