Blog Hop - Prickley Pear Stamps and Cheery Lynn Designs

Hi Everyone.

The design team at  Prickley Pear Rubber Stamps and the design team at Cherry Lynn Designs have joined together for a blog hop this week.

I'm working with FF0051 Mothers Day;  CLR025A Gears2; D025 Gears die and the new Cheery Lynn Trellis die.

I know Mother's Day has passed, but I couldn't resist using this lovely sentiment on another card.

The new Cheery Lynn Trellis die was the perfect backdrop on which to add some tiny flowers.  Since the new clear Gears2 stamp set looks like tiny flowers, how fun it was to pair them together.

I added a flourish behind the Trellis to give the illusion of vines running around and through the Trellis.  The tiny gears were die cut and then stamped in red and pink, then added to the backdrop with some pearl brads.  The sentiment was stamped in pink ink to coordinate with the flowers.

Thanks for stopping by today.

Don't forget to stop and see what the other designers have been creating.

Beauty

Good morning everyone.  Sometimes an image just speaks to you and this  Daisy Trio  digital stamp from Cornish Heritage Farms    was perfect to create a quick and easy card.

Using dark orange cardstock as the background, I die cut the daisies into a circle and colored them with Copic Markers.  I cut 2 colors of coordinating cardstock on which I mounted the daisies.

A strip of pattern paper across the center added just the right amount of color.  The sentiment is from the Ornamental Beauty  stamp set and I stamped it directly on the cardstock.

Don't forget to stop by everyone's blog today for more inspiration.

Blog Hop with Prickley Pear and Cheery Lynn Designs

Hi Everyone.

The design team at  Prickley Pear Rubber Stamps and the design team at Cheery Lynn Designs have joined together for a blog hop this week.

I'm working with GG0043 Wishing you Success plus the Cheery Lynn Mesh die.

I stamped the sentiment in blue ink on blue cardstock, using it as the focal point of my card.   I added other elements to complement the sentiment.

The graduation cap is a Cricut cut and the clock is a metal embellishment.  Since the Mesh die was a little too big for my card, I carefully folded it for a cool effect.  the sentiment was placed on top with foam adhesives for dimension.

On this next card, I'm working with GG0043 Wishing you Success plus DL244 Tiny Rum Punch Doily.

I stamped the sentiment in blue ink on blue cardstock, using it as the focal point of my card.   I added other elements to complement the sentiment.

Thanks for stopping by today.  Remember to stop by the blog to see what the designers have been creating!!!

Scor-pal and Paper Smooches

Hi everyone.

This week the designers from Scor-pal and the designers from Paper Smooches  have an awesome blog hop for you.  Be sure to stop by everyone's blog to see what they've been up to.

I was thrilled to receive one of Paper Smooches new sets called Slang Gang which is an amazing set of 23 words and phrases. I paired a bunch of the words with Party Pals for a fun card!  I can see lots of uses for this set.

I had so much fun coloring the image with Copic Markers.   Look at all those Copic Markers I used!!!

Start with brown cardstock that measures 5 1/2" x 11".
Place the long side across your Scor-pal and score at 5 1/2", creating a square card.

Score 1/2" around the front panel of the card.

Cut the pattern paper into a 4 3/8" square so it fits within the scored lines.
Score along the left edge at 1/4", 1/2" and 3/4".
Adhere to the card front.

Stamp image and color with assorted Copic Markers.
Cut image to 3" x 2 3/4" and ink the edges with a coordinating Copic Marker.
Mat with brown pattern paper and adhere to the card front.

Stamp "Oh em gee" on white cardstock.
Die cut to fit inside the balloon and ink edges with a Copic Marker.
Add to balloon with foam adhesives for dimension.
Stamp "dude" on white cardstock and ink edges with a Copic Marker.
Mat with brown pattern paper and add to left side of card with foam adhesives for dimension.

For the card's interior, cut coordinating pattern paper into a 5 1/4" square.
Score 1/4", 1/2" and 3/4" around the entire square.

Stamp a sentiment on white cardstock.
Edge with a Copic Marker and mat with brown pattern paper.
Add to interior and stamp a sentiment below and emboss with clear embossing powder.

Another view of the finished card.

On Your Special Day Tutorial

Hi friends.

Here's a quick tutorial for a card for that special person in your life.  I used  some yummy products from the Classy Cars 'n Such Store.   Bev has a wonderful assortment of products and new stuff coming in all the time.

I began with a sheet of white cardstock that was cut to 5 1/2" x 11".
Placing the long edge at the top of your Scor-Buddy,  score it at 2 3/4".
Flip the paper around and score the other end, again at 2 3/4".

Fold on the scored lines to create the flaps of the card.

Using Graphic 45's Secret Garden Paper Pad   pull 2 sheets of the lavender printed paper.  This paper pad is gorgeous with its double sided prints on one side and coordinating solid paper on the other side.
Cut 2 pieces of the print, each 2 1/2" x 5 1/4".
Cut 2 pieces of the solid, each 2 5/8" x 5 3/8".
Adhere these two pieces together and place on the front flaps.

Use Spellbinders Nested Oval Medallion Dies to cut the brown and green cardstock medallions.
Place adhesive behind the left half of the brown medallion.
The roses are from the Justrite Stamper's With Sympathy Stamp Set   and were colored  with Copic Markers in shades of purple to coordinate with the card.

The banner stamp is from Justrite Stamper's Botanical Medallions & Banners and I used the coordinating Spellbinders die from the Vintage Label and Banner Die set.   I first die cut and embossed the die, then stamped the sentiment on top.  I find I get a more precise stamped image this way.

For the interior, I used pattern paper from the Love Letters Paper Pad, cutting it into a 5" square and then matting it with brown cardstock before adhering to the interior.

The roses were added to the medallion with Joy Foam Adhesives  for dimension, then the banner was placed on top with two layers of  Joy Foam Adhesives to help set it apart from the roses.

As you can see, I've mixed stamp sets and dies to create this card, so don't be afraid to mix and match your products to get different looks for your cards.

Thanks for stopping by today.

Friendship Box

Hey everyone.  Today the  designers for Scor-Pal  and May Arts are coming together in a blog hop.

Check out what everyone has been creating with their Scor-Pals and some beautiful ribbons from May Arts.

My project is a Friendship Box.

Cut blue cardstock into a 9” square.
Score at 3” and 6”.
Rotate cardstock 90 degrees and score at 3” and 6”.
Turn cardstock so that the points are at the 6” spot and score from the point to the first score line.
Repeat for each corner.
Fold on score lines, folding the corners inward.

Using a floral rollagraph wheel, roll over white cardstock with Pinkolicious Ink.

Cut floral cardstock into 5 squares – each 2 7/8” x 2 7/8”.
Ink edges with Pinkolicious Ink and adhere 4 of them to the outside base within the scored lines.

Using a wordy rollagraph wheel and Squash Ink, roll across white cardstock.

Cut cardstock into a 9” square.
Score at 3” and 6”.
Rotate cardstock 90 degrees and score at 3” and 6”.
Cut out the 4 corners, creating a "T" shape.
Cut the corner pieces on a diagonal and trim to fit the corners of the base.
Ink edges with Squash Ink and adhere with the words showing.
Using the white side of this piece, ink the edges with Squash Ink.
Trim to fit.
Add Scor-Tape to the center panel and adhere, leaving the other flaps free.

Stamp 6 assorted sentiments on white cardstock with Very Berry Ink and emboss with Clear Embossing Powder.
Cut, ink edges and mount 5 sentiments on blue cardstock.
Add 4 sentiments to the interior white flaps.
Stamp flourish on the center flap with Squash Ink and emboss with Clear Embossing Powder.
Die cut a sentiment into a circle and add to the center with foam adhesives.

To create the box top:

Cut blue cardstock 5 1/8" x 5 1/8” and score 1” around this piece.

Adhere the remaining floral panel to the center.
Cut along score line to the next scored line on each side.
Add Scor-Tape to the smaller flaps and fold in to create the box top.

Add Scor-Tape around the edge of the box top.
Add Eyelet Trim  lace around the edge.
Clip at the corners so the ribbon lays flat.

Add Scor-Tape to the pink ribbon.

Place pink ribbon on top of the lace ribbon, pulling off the Scor-Tape in sections as you work.

Adhere the final sentiment to the box top.
Stamp a butterfly with Very Berry Ink and emboss with Clear Embossing Powder.
Add dots of color to the butterfly with Smooch Ink.
Adhere to the top with foam adhesives for dimension.

Add pearls around the box to finish.

Here is today's blog order. Don't forget to leave a comment on everyone's blog.  I would love to know what you think!

Piccolo birdhouse

Hi everyone.  Remember those doilies I created for Globecraft and Piccolo last month?

Well, I thought this green one would be the perfect backdrop for the birdhouse stamp.

The doily was covered with Mossy Glen Embossing Powder .  Love the shine!!!  Placing it aside, I colored this Heartfelt Creations stamp with Copic Markers, then cut out the image.   I adhered it to the doily with foam adhesives for dimension.

For the backdrop behind the doily, I coated the cardstock with Real Rust Embossing Powder and heat set to get this wonderful effect.

Using some Pink Rose 3d Enamel Gel , I added it to the tips of the roses.  Once set, I had this amazing 3 dimensional effect.

Stop by the Globecraft and Piccolo blog to see what else I've have been creating.

Thank You

It's challenge week at Cornish Heritage Farms  and  we are creating with  pink and green.

Using pink cardstock, I created a square card and stamped the front with the Large Dots Backgrounder stamp.  A strip of green cardstock was used to cover a section of the cardstock where I made a mistake!!!!  There is always a way to correct a mistake don't you think!

I created a window card by placing a Spellbinders Label 18 die on the card front.  To finish the "window" I die cut a larger border, inked the edges and placed it on top.    The sentiment is from Script Essential Expressions.

I colored the Garden Chair Digital Image  with Copic Markers in assorted  colors of greens, purples, yellows and browns.

Baby Accordian Album

Hey everyone, this cute little accordion album would make a perfect brag book for a new baby and is made from only one sheet of double sided pattern paper.

Using a 12" square sheet of double sided pattern paper, score the paper vertically every 3"
Turn the paper 90 degrees and score at the 6" mark

Fold the paper in half, then fold along the 3" score lines to create an accordion effect

Score, trim and fold each section as follows:

Score the first section from the fold to the score line
Cut the corner from the 2nd panel, approximately 1" from the score line
Cut from the fold line to the top edge of the 3rd panel
Cut 4" down and across to the score line on the 4th panel

Double fold the top edge of the first panel and adhere with Score Tape

Cut pattern paper to fit the inside panels
Adhere ribbons between the layers of the first and last panels
Add Score Tape along the bottom of the panels and along the edges of each scored panel

Gently ink all edges with Ranger Pumice Distress Ink
Add ribbons to office tags and insert in the panels

Decorate the book as desired
I added a Memory Box die cut baby carriage on the front cover
