Etched Rose Oil Container

Hi everyone, Happy Mother's Day.  I've created a sweet gift, perfect to give to the special women in your lives.   I love creating handmade gifts and this gift was so no exception.  It all started with an unusual shaped glass container.

I die cut oil from vinyl.  Using the negative portion,  wrapped the vinyl around the glass.  Burnish it well so it sticks to the glass.

Add painters tape around the glass to avoid getting the etchall etching crème on the rest of the glass.

Place the etchall etching crème on the letters.  Use the spatula to spread it on evenly.

Allow the etching crème to sit for 15 minutes.  Then remove the etching crème and return it to it's original container.  Wash off the remaining etching creme and remove the vinyl.  Rinse and dry the glass.

Decorate the glass with leaves die cut from Rinea Emerald/Gold Glossy Foiled Paper.

Ink a white paper rose with VersaMagic Perfect Plumeria Ink.  Spritz with Lilac Posies Fireworks! Craft Spray.  Adhere the rose over the leaves.

Make your own rose oil from water, rose water, rose scent and food coloring.

Finally tie ribbons to the handle.

This was a fun project to create.  Think of the variety that can be created with different scents and decorative elements.  Add your own special touches and create an assortment for family and friends.

Thanks for stopping by.

Steph
