Fall Blog Hop with Canvas Corp.

It's time for a Fall Blog Hop with Canvas Corp.

Supplies:
Canvas Corp Halloween Pin Dots
Canvas Corp. - Black on Kraft cardstock
Tattered Angels Baseboard Mist -  Lava
Tattered Angels Chalkboard Mist - Alaskan Salmon
High Impact Paint - Light Gold
Hemp Cord - Black
Just For Fun Rubber Stamps - Pumpkins

I created cute little Halloween treat bags using the Halloween Pin Dots cardstock.  This is a heavy cardstock that I easily cut and scored to create 6" x 3" treat bags to give to the trick or treaters this year.

I stamped pumpkins with black ink then painted them with Alaskan Salmon and Lava.  To add the gradient color, I added additional Alaskan Salmon to parts of the pumpkins.

A touch of High Impact Paint in Light Gold was used to highlight the edges of the pumpkins.

I fussy cut the pumpkins and popped them on the front of each bag.  Since the bags had no tops, I punched holes in the tops, threaded black hemp through the holes and tied them closed.

Aren't they sweet?

Please check out everyone's projects and leave comments along the way.

Happy Halloween Scarecrow

Hi everyone I'm sharing a new card on the Just For Fun blog using some great stamps which will be available soon from the store to create my card.  Halloween is right around the corner and I love these new Halloween stamps.

I stamped this amazing scarecrow and colored him with Copic Markers.  I wanted him to be front and center on my card so I die cut him, being careful to cut around his hand and shoes first (I didn't want them cut off!)  Then I matted him with some purple checked paper.

I created a card from brown cardstock and added a white panel stamped with the Tattered Screen Background.  I tore this panel to give the card a more dimensional effect.

Then I simply assembled all the layers and added the Happy Halloween sentiment from Sentiments 1 across the middle.

Isn't this scarecrow amazing?

Bowdabra Puppy Bow

Hi everyone, I've got a new post on the Bowdabra Blog.

Have you ever dressed your dog?  Of course you have!   Paulie is a 47 pound mix and just a little difficult to dress up so I decided to create a bow for him.

He didn't think much of it, but I think Paulie showcases it beautifully, don't you?

Directions can be found on the Bowdabra blog.

Kind People with Creative Vision

Hi everyone, I've created a new card using FOILables from Creative Vision Stamps

Using a black card base, I added a striped panel which I wrapped with ribbon.  The phrase is from the Foilables Mini Series-Kind People which was foiled with Nana's Roses foil.  The panel was matted with an inverted scalloped panel and added to the card with foam adhesives.

Fall Pennant

Hi everyone, my newest project on the Proxxon blog is perfect for Fall.

Use Kapro Measure Mate ruler to draw the pennant shape on a wood panel.

Use the Scroll Saw to cut the pennant.

Then use the Bench Drill Press to drill 2 holes in the top.

Sand the panel with the Delta Sander.

Using the 6" Swirl Pumpkins stencil from Clear Scraps, I placed it in the center then painted it with shades of orange and green.  For additional dimension, I used  additional stencils around the pumpkin.   I wanted the focal point to be the pumpkins, so I painted around the pumpkins with brown paint.

While the panel dried, I created leaves from Makin'sⓇ Clay green clay and push mold.  I added additional color with spray inks.

To create a 3 dimensional effect, I glued raffia around the pumpkin, then glued the clay leaves.  Free hand cut FALL from felt and glue to the raffia.

A perfect panel to showcase Fall, don't you think?

Wrapped the star panel with ribbon, then added it to a white card.  The foiled panel was added to the card with foam adhesives.

Rinea September Journal Page

Hi everyone, I've gone a journal page to share using Rinea's Princess Foiled Paper Variety Pack  and the Sweet Sisters Flower Stencil from Rita Barakat.

I used assorted stencils, molding paste, inks and paints to create the background of my journal spread.

Using the Sweet Sisters Flower Stencil, I placed it on Silver Starstruck, drawing the lines in red ink to coordinate with the background.  Since I was using a 4" x 6" sheet, I offset the stencil.

Placing the stenciled image on the right side, I added 2 strips from Glossy Silver/Gold foil along the top and bottom of the image, then added a punched strip of Fuchsia/Fuchsia Starstuck foil along the side to enclose her within my journal.  Using a small circle punch with Sapphire/Gold Glossy foil,  I created her eye, then cut Ruby/Gold Glossy foil for her lips using the stencil as my guide.

Using Oma's Postcard Stamp, I randomly stamped around the edges of the journal pages with Memento Tuxedo Black ink.  Then I added some words from a 49 and Market Stamp set.

Using Heartfelt Creations dies, I created a variety of flowers from Blush Pink Starstruck, adding them to my journal page atop leaf sprays die cut from Emerald/Gold Glossy foil.

I cut very thin strips of foil from all my left over scraps, wrapped them together and used them to create her flowing hair.  Another flower anchored the hair in place.

What do you think of my journal page?

Scarecrow wreath with Bowdabra

Hi everyone, I'm thinking of Fall and I've got a new Fall Wreath on the Bowdabra Blog.

Begin by placing the Bow wire in the channel.
Create a 3 loop bow with 3" gold ribbon.

Use the bow wand to push the ribbon into the channel.

Select a coordinating pattern ribbon for the second layer.

Create a smaller 3 looped bow.

Push the ribbon in the channel using the Bow wand.

Pull up on the bow wire and tie off.  Fluff out the bow.

Use the excess bow wire to tie the bow to the bottom of a grapevine wreath.  Add a decorative scarecrow to the wreath.  Any excess bow wire can be used to tie the scarecrow to the wreath.
