Marry Christmas Candy Cane

Hi everyone, I've got a new project for Dies R Us.

I found this wonderful Lalaland Stamp and new it would be wonderful on a card.  I stamped her with black ink and colored her with Copic Markers before fussy cutting her.

I created a card from green cardstock.  

Use rectangle dies to die card 2 layers of pattern papers. 

Mat the smaller panel with green cardstock.  Add the striped paper to a card and add the small panel on top.

Die cut Merry Christmas from white and red cardstock.  Adhere the layers together slightly off-center and place on the card. 

Add the stamped image with foam adhesives for dimension.  Following the design, add liquid pearl drops.  Allow to dry.

Snow Globe shaker card

I've created a snow globe shaker card today.

The dies are from Anna Griffin and you can make any assortment of cards, but I thought a shaker card would be fun.

After die cutting the design, I also die cut a piece of acetate.  To create the globe, I stacked layers of the border together, placed foam tape to create the depth and added beads.  Next I added the back border to seal in the beads, then assembled the card.

Merry Christmas Canvas

Hi everyone, Steph Ackerman here sharing a new Christmas project to share using Makin'sⓇ Clay.

Supplies:
Makin's ClayⓇ - Earth Tones, White
Makin's ProfessionⓇ Cutting Mat
Christmas Light Mold
Ranger Perfect Pearls
Rinea Foiled Paper
Spellbinders Dies
Sizzix Embossing Plate
Imagine Brilliance Ink
Canvas

Taking a 6" x 6" canvas frame, ink the edges with Briliance Ink.  Cut Rinea Emerald/Gold Glossy Foiled Paper 5 1/2" x 5 1/2" and emboss with a Sizzix embossing plate.  Adhere to the canvas with Beacon 3-in-1 Adhesive.

Using a silicone mold, place light brown clay in the top of the mold.

Next, place white clay in the cavity, overlapping the light brown clay.

Remove the light bulbs.

Add color to the light bulbs with assorted colors of Perfect Pearls.  While still damp, Perfect Pearls stick to the clay and provide a nice shimmer and shine.

Adhere twine to the canvas and add the selected lights on top.

Die cut Merry Christmas from Rinea Ruby/Gold Glossy Foiled Paper and place atop labels created from Silver/Gold Glossy Foiled Paper and Gold/Gold Glossy Foiled Paper.

Finish by adding Stickles randomly about the canvas.

Happy Birthday Cupcake

Hi everyone, I'm on the Clear Scraps blog today creating with the Cupcake Wood Card.

At approximately 4" x 6", this is a fun card to give to someone special.  I first painted it with gold metallic paint.

I chose a large birthday stamp with lots of different phrases and stamped it with black ink on the front cover.  Inside I added layers of pattern papers.  A wordy paper was added behind the cupcake so it would peek through.

I added ribbon and twine to the pre-drilled holes, tying my card together.

Since I had a bare spot above the cupcake, I adhered some Lovely Sequins.

Now I have a sweet card to share with someone special.

Lavinia World Challenge #15

Hi everyone, it's time for the next challenge at Lavinia World Challenges.  Please check it out and join in the fun.

Today I've used Zemira, isn't she lovely?

Because I wanted to add an assortment of colors, I placed her on my MISTI and use art daubers to ink her.  I inked her dress with red ink.

Then I inked her face and arms with pink ink, and her hair with blue ink.

The Flutterbies were stamped in black ink to the right of Zemira, as if she were talking to them.

The panel was lightly inked and matted with black cardstock.  A card was created from black cardstock and pattern paper added next.  A strip of glittery ribbon from LARibbons was added to black cardstock then added to the card.  Kindred Spirit was die cut from Rinea Ebony/Gold Glossy Foiled Paper and Blush/Gold Glossy Foiled Paper and adhered together slightly off-center creating a shadow effect.

Lastly, I added some Robin's Nest dew drops to the corners of my card.

Let It Snow SIgn

Hi everyone, I'm on the Proxxon blog with a new winter sign.

There are so many options with scraps of wood so I decided to create a winter themed banner.

Using the Micro Bandsaw, I cut up strips of left over plywood into irregular squares.

I quickly sanded each piece with the Disk Sander.

Using Plaid Paints, I painted each piece and adhered each square to a strip of plywood.

I created a snowy effect using a stencil with modeling past, then added the letters on top.  To complete my snow theme, I added clay elements.

Using the Bench Drill Press, I drilled a hole in the top and added ribbon to hang the panel.

Season of Light

Hi everyone, as we enter the holiday rush, let's not forget what the season is all about.

Using an assortment of papers from my stash, I created a card, wrapping twine around the top panel.  Using a candle word stamp, I stamped it on white cardstock, then fussy cut around the flame before die cutting it.

For dimension, I added stickles to the flame and dots of color around the phrase.

Merry Christmas with Lawn Fawn

Hi everyone, I've got a set of cards on the Rubber Buggy blog using lots of fun products from the store.  Please visit the store for all the fun products I've used today.

I used the Lawn Fawn Stitched Windy Backdrop to create the background of my cards using Bazzill cardstock in Robin's Egg and Jelly Bean.

The Lawn Fawn Ho Ho Holidays stamp set and coordinating Lawn Cuts.  Each item was stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink on Lawn Fawn White Cardstock.

I colored all the images with Copic Markers and once all the stamped images were die cut, I simply had to arrange them on my cards.

My first card has Rudy flying about, waiting for Santa to get ready.  Ranger Ice Stickles were added to Santa's fur.  The sentiment is part of the stamp set.

My second card incorporates both sizes of Lawn Fawn Stitched Mountain Borders, along with some extra snow.  The mountains were lightly inked with Tim Holtz Walnut Stain Ink, then added to the card.

Christmas Shaker Cards

Hi everyone, I've got  a new set of Christmas Shaker cards on the Arnold Grummer Papermaking blog.

I've used left over papers from other projects.  For each card, I used the remaining die cut panels and frayed the edges.

I adhered a plastic sheet to each panel, and Using my MISTI, I stamped phrases in the lower corner with StazOn ink.  Using the MISTI ensured that if I had to restamp the phrase that it would line up correctly.

I placed foam tape around the panels and placed dew drops in the cavities before adhering the backing.

Finally I added flowers and leaves to the corners.

Merry Christmas with ScorPal

Hi everyone, it's a new month and the challenge on the Scor-Pal blog is to create anything, just be sure it includes more than one score.

I created a purse/mini album.  I created my first one for 4th of July and had so much fun, I just had to create another.

For the complete directions, see my previous post here.

Create envelopes to hold cash or gift cards.

 

Die cut the flap.

Decorate with pattern papers.

Add the topper flap to the album, adding a Velcro dot to keep it closed.

 

Stamp and die cut words to adorn your pockets.

Add a stamped sentiment to the middle of the topper.

This is a really fun project.   I hope you give it a try.
