Hello Cards with Rinea Foiled Papers

Hi everyone, I'm on the Rinea blog with 2 Spring Hello Cards using Poppystamps dies.

I love the Floral Stem Collage die because I find the options are endless.

For my first card, I used Misfits Foiled Paper Pack which contained all the colors I wanted for my card. I die cut both the Jade Starstruck and Ebony Starstruck foils together, then cut away the flower on the Ebony frame. I also die cut 2 flowers from Blush/Gold Glossy Foiled Paper.

The Ebony and Jade frames were adhered together and one of the Blush flowers was placed on top.

A panel of Sapphire/Gold Glossy Foiled Paper was adhered behind the window and the panel was added to a pink card. A second flower was formed and added to the card, giving it additional dimension.

The Little Halo Hello die is a 2 die set that can be used individually or together. I love the delicate word, so I just used the word, cutting it from Gold/Gold Glossy Foiled Paper.  Finally, I added Nuvo Drops to the corners of the card.

My second card uses the same dies, but I chose to create a shaker card. 

The Floral Stem Collage die was die cut from Jade/Gold Glossy Foiled Paper and Marigold/Gold Glossy Foiled Paper. After cutting away the Marigold flower, I assembled the panels together. Using Oma's Postcard Stamp with Ghost Ink, I stamped it on the Marigold panel.

The Marigold panel was added to a Silver Starstruck panel with foam tape to create the shaker and assorted Robin's Nest dew drops were placed inside.

2 flowers were die cut from Violet/Gold Glossy Foiled Paper and added to the panel. A gem was added to the flower center.  The Little Halo Hello die was also die cut from Violet/Gold Glossy Foiled Paper and added to the corner of the card.

Hello Spring Cards

Hi everyone, I'm on the Clear Scraps blog with a set of Spring cards today.

The 4x6 Hello Spring Stencil can be used in it's entirety or just use a portion.  Adhere the stencil to white cardstock.

Using assorted colors of ink, add color to the full stencil using art daubers.

Cut the panel to size and mat with cardstock  Place brads in the flower centers.

Add the panel to a blue card with foam adhesives for dimension.

Using the same stencil, create another card by inking the words only.

Use a tri-color inkpad to get a gradient effect.  Add embossing powder and heat set.

Mat the phrase with cardstock and add a brad over the "i".  Create a card from yellow cardstock,  emboss the front panel and lightly ink.

Add the panel to the card and place a large flower in the corner.

Lavinia World Challenge # 24

Hi everyone, it's time for the next challenge at Lavinia World Challenges.  Please check it out and join in the fun.

I stamped Midnight Meandering with VersaFine Clair Ink in Nocturne on white cardstock.   Then I restamped the image so I could use it as a mask.   The panel was then die cut.  Placing the mask over the rabbits, I inked the panel with 2 shades of blue ink.

The Fairy Couple was then stamped with VersaFine Clair Ink in Nocturne above the rabbits.

The stamped panel was matted with a larger blue panel and then a wordy panel before being added to the card.  Every dream was then stamped on a scrap of white, matted with blue cardstock and added to the card with foam adhesives for dimension.

Happy Easter Wishes

Hi everyone, Easter is almost upon us so I've created a sweet Easter card which was created with assorted colors of Rinea Foiled Papers.

Did you know there is a new color?  Check out the latest addition to the Rinea family - Arctic/Gold Glossy Foiled Paper as well as Arctic/Arctic Starstruck.

I used this grid die to die cut Emerald/Gold Glossy Foiled Paper then adhered it to the Arctic Foil.

The bunny and phrase from Joy Clair's Easter Wishes stamp set were stamped with Staz On ink on the Arctic Foil and they stamped beautifully. Look at all the bunny details.  I used a punch with Emerald Foil  to create the grass, then die cut some small eggs from scraps of left over foils which I slipped behind the grass.  

On the sentiment, I added some liquid pearls in a coordinating color.

Quick and Pretty Cards with Makin's Clay

Hi everyone, I've got some quick and easy cards today that have been accented with Makin'sⓇ Clay elements.

Using several silicone molds, I placed white clay in each then used the Roller to push the clay into the molds and smooth the top.

Remove the molds and cut away any excess clay.  Allow to dry thoroughly before painting.

Once dry, I painted each item with assorted colors of  Prima Art Alchemy Acrylic Paints.

After the pink paint dried on the medallion, I accented the rose with red and green paints using my finger tips.

Creating a card from pink and brown cardstock, the rose was a perfect embellishment for the little paper sack into which I placed a gift card to the recipient's favorite store. A wood-type frame was die cut from Rinea foiled paper and placed around the medallion.   Congratulations was stamped, punched and placed above the frame.

The clay frame was painted with teal paint.  Look at all those details.

A floral panel was added behind the frame which was adhered to a small paper sack.  A fussy cut butterfly was adhered to the corner.

Creating a card from brown cardstock and a script print, the frame was a perfect embellishment for the little paper sack into which I placed another gift card to the recipient's favorite store. I added another butterfly to the sack.   Congratulations was stamped and die cut and placed above the frame.

These cards look very pretty with the clay elements.  They provide great dimension but very little additional weight to the cards.

Welcome Burlap Panel

Hi everyone, what are you doing to stay busy during this pandemic?  I've been organizing and seeing what I have.  I pulled out a bunch of products I wanted to use and created a mixed media burlap panel.

Using a burlap panel, I inked it with Ranger Distress Ink in Walnut Stain using a Ranger Ink Blending Tool.  I cut Graphic 45 papers to fit, tearing the top layer and adding strips of Bazzill Licorice Twist Cardstock to help the panel pop.  With so many different Graphic 45 papers available, any of them would be perfect for the center of this panel.  I used US Art Quest Perfect Paper Adhesive to adhere the papers to the burlap panel.

I found some metal words at the Dollar Store, so I inked welcome with Ranger Embossing Ink and added color with Ranger Perfect Pearls in Forever Green and Perfect Copper.  The embossing ink was a great foundation for adhering the perfect pearls.  Allow to set for a few minutes, then brush away the excess.

Then I assembled the panel with burlap tags, paper tags (similar to the 7 Dots Studio tags), assorted flowers and clothes pins.

Welcome was added to the panel with US Art Quest Perfect Paper Adhesive as well as Scrapbook Adhesives 3D Foam Adhesives to pop it up in the center.

Think about using whatever you have handy and see what you can create.

Floral Wall Art

Hi everyone, I'm on the Proxxon blog today with a floral wall hanging.

I drew a jar on a scrap of wood then using the Scroll Saw, I cut the design.  Next, I sanded the jar with the Delta Sander.

I painted the jar with gesso and put it aside to dry while I worked on the background.

Using a stencil with modeling paste, I added dimension to a burlap panel.  Once dry, the burlap panel was painted with several colors of paint.

The jar was painted with a light layer of blue paint and twine was wrapped around the top.  For additional dimension, blue ink was rubbed across the jar and a metal tag was tied to the twine.

Once the jar was adhered to the canvas, flowers were added.  Since the flowers are not attached, you can easily change out the flowers for different seasons.

Scor-Pal Challenge #68

Hi everyone, it's a new month and that means a new challenge on the Scor-Pal blog.  The theme for this month is Florals or anything goes.  Just be sure your project includes more than one score.  Spring is coming and so is Easter so you have lots of choices.

In this challenging environment, I chose to create a floral box card for a friend.

Starting with a 6 1/2" x 10" piece of cardstock, I scored and cut it to create the box.  Use Scor-Tape to assemble.

Rinea Foiled Papers were cut to fit the box.  I've used Emerald Starstruck.

Using Elizabeth Craft Designs dies, I created an assortment of flowers using Rinea Foiled Papers - Blush/Gold Glossy, Fuschia/Gold Glossy, Violet/Gold Glossy, Marigold/Gold Glossy and Emerald/Gold Glossy,.  The flowers created with Rinea Foiled Papers are stunning.

 

I created as many flowers as I wanted to fill my box, adding leaves where appropriate.  

The phrase is from an old Cuttlebug die set and was perfect to finish my card.
