Christmas cards

I used Nestabilities dies to cut the circle in this cardstock. Then I stamped my image and attached with stitching. I colored with watercolor pencils. I love the touch of red and gold ribbon I added. Hey, it's never too early to start Christmas cards!!

JustRight stamps

CPS has a sketch challenge this week and JustRite is hosting. How exciting is that!!! I have

fallen in love with JustRite Stamps and their new, fabulous designs and can't wait to play with more of them.

For my Thank You card, I used:

JustRight's 1 5/8 Designer Centers and Borders

K&Co premade card

MME pattern papers

Adirondak and Colorbok inks

Cuttlebug Embossing Folder

Spellbinders Nestabilities Circle and Scalloped Circle dies

Brads

Instructions:

Cut the base pattern to fit the card front

Cut the central piece and run it through a Cuttlebug Embossing Folder, then mat it with a coordinating paper

Stamp sentiment in Adirondack Ginger

Cut sentiment with Nestabilities circle die

Cut backing with Nestabilities scalloped circle die

Punch small flowers from the MME collection and attach with brads

Ink all edges then assemble card

Bo Bunny Mango Luau

What an amazing line. I love it's bright colors and the fact that you don't have to use it for vacation photos. It's great for cards too.

Since we adopted Paulie, he has become a wonderful addition to our family. He is still afraid of people, but has a wonderful time when we take him to the dog parks. We are hoping with time, his fear will lessen and he'll enjoy life more. The only thing that drives me nuts is that he LOVES my shoes!!!! 3 pairs chewed to bits in 2 1/2 months and he has lots of chew toys!!!

The Wedding Box

My niece asked me to take a plain wood box and decorate it for her wedding. She wanted some place to put her wedding cards. Having only 10 days to prepare, I wasn't sure what I wanted to do with it. But I did know I was going to use Basic Grey Blush papers - shades of pinks and browns were perfect for a wedding. After some thinking and planning, I finally decided what to do and this is the result:













Supplies:
Basic Grey pattern paper
Cricut Storybook cartridge (side swirls)
Cricut Home Accents cartridge (labels)
Cricut Calligraphy cartridge
Pink paint

I need to send a big THANK YOU to Jolene for helping me (actually creating) set up my blog. It has taken me 2 years to enter the world of blogging - and I've done so kicking and screaming. But in just a couple of days Jolene has made it sooooo easy for me to add photos, add gadgets (who knew about them!) and post entries. She even made me the gorgeous header show above.

Wedding Tissues

I created 50 of these tissue "favors" for the wedding. They are very simple to do and add just a touch of elegance to a wonderful day.

Instructions:

Cut cardstock to fit around each tissue pack.

Punch each side of the cardstock with a border punch.

Add some self adhesive vellum or pattern paper to the center of the cardstock band.

Wrap around the tissues, adding tape to the reverse side.

Cut some tulle and tie around the tissues.

Print the sentiment on white cardstock and cut with a tag punch.

Cut a larger tag for backing.

Add an eyelet.

Put ribbon through the eyelet and tie to the tulle

Well, I must say that my son cleaned up very well for the wedding. His first suit plus red shirt and tie and he was a handsome 14 year old. He even smiled throughout the evening, something I rarely see anymore.

My niece was married this past Saturday and boy was it a gorgeous day for such a gorgeous bride and handsome groom. We wish them all the best.

So i'm back trying to work through blogging. I know this has taken awhile, but it's now time for me to really get this up and running. So I'll try to work on it daily till I'm comfortable.

So I'm back and still trying to get this all together. I really need to spend some time working on this, but I have so much to do, it just like such a hassle.
