Etched and colored glass bottles

Hi everyone, I wanted to show you how easy it is to color glass bottles using etchall® .

Etchall® creates an etched effect on glass allowing paints and inks to adhere to the surface. Since I wanted to etch the bottles inside and out, I poured  etchall® dip ‘n etch  in the bottles then placed the bottles in a container of dip 'n etch for 15 minutes.

As etchall® is reusable, simply pour it back in it's original bottle so it can be used on other projects.  There is no waste at all with etchall®!  Rinse off the bottles and pat dry.

To color the bottles, add 4-5 drops of water in each bottle then 2 drops of  Izink Anenome in one bottle and 2 drops of Izink Turquoise in the other bottle.  Shake vigorously until the bottles are completely coated.

Once dry, add assorted wrapped candies into each bottle.  Then stamp a tag and tie to each.

Change up the tags and these would make great party favors.  With schools about to start, I think they'd also be great teacher gifts - they'd be a great way to help break the ice don't you think?

Altered Notebook with Maja Designs

Hi everyone, today I've created an altered notebook using some amazing papers from Maja Design.

The Summer Crush collection from Maja Design is full of color and gorgeous designs.  I've used 4 different papers to create this notebook, tearing and inking each layer before adhering to the notebook.

I've used an awesome Indigoblu stamp from the Enjoy Life Red Rubber Stamp set which was inked with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink.  Spellbinders dies are always on hand to add interest to any project.  Scrapbook Adhesives from 3L added some dimension behind the stamp.

Along the edge, I used the cut off strip from one of the papers then used Beacon's Fabri-Tac to add a strip of lace and pearls where the papers meet.

Steph's Art Panel

Hi everyone, I am participating in the Designer Crafts Connection blog hop this month.  This month we are working with some fabulous products from Rebekah Meier.

I'm working with the Mini Paper Quilt Kit which comes with an assortment of products to create a fun quilted project.

I chose to create an art panel to hang in my studio.

Following the instructions, I cut the pieces to size, then fused the tissue to the EZ Steam.    Unfortunately, I applied my tissue backwards, but not to worry as you really don't know it's backwards once the project is completed.  Remember, there are no wrong ways to create!

Using the included sponge, I sponged on several colors of Jacquard Fabric Paint, starting with the lightest color and working inwards.

I continued adding color until I was happy with the overall effect.

Next, I used white paint through the Be In Love stencil randomly around the panel.  Then I used the included texture sheet to add more texture about the panel with white paint.

To finish, I sewed strips of fabric around the panel to finish the edges.  I also randomly stitched on the panel.  The photo was matted and also sewn in place.  Lace was added to the top edge and to the photo then the sentiment was sewn in place.

I inserted a dowel through the pocket I made in the top edge and tied on some ribbon to create the hanger.

Please stop by the DCC blog to see projects from all the designers.

Please leave me a comment, I'd love to know what you think!  And also leave a comment on the DCC bog for a chance to win an amazing prize.

Joy Clair August release

It's new release day at Joy Clair and the new stamps are amazing!!!!

Today I've used Bee Kind.  This is an amazing set.  Today I've kept the card simple in black and white and just added a pop of yellow.

I've stamped the beehive elements on both edges of the white panel.  I wanted it to appear as if one of the bees was leaving a "trail" so I stamped the trail first.  Then I randomly addeded 2 bees.  For color I used Smooch Accent Inks.

Be sure to visit each of the designers on this blog hop!

Happy Birthday Envelope Card

Hi everyone, it's a new challenge at Scor-Pal and we'd love to see your birthday cards.

I've created an envelope birthday card.

Not only are envelope cards fun to make, they are quite easy.
Cut 2 pieces of cardstock each 5 1/2" x 11".  Score each at 5 1/2".

Adhere the 2 pieces together creating a 3 panel card.  Then cut the 2 outer panels on an angle.

Decorate the outer panels and add die cut circles to the front of the card.
I love this So Suzy cupcake stamp.  I  lightly colored it and added it to the center.
Once in place I added Stickles for some dimension.

I cut a smaller panel to fit inside for the card.

Adding a center strip, I stamped a So Suzy sentiment, then slipped a gift card under it.

Please stop by the Scor-Pal blog to see what the other designers have created.
