Love Themed Door Hanger

Hi everyone, I'm on the Bowdabra blog with wedding décor this week.

Supplies:
Bowdabra Bow Making Tool
Bowdabra Bow Wire – Gold
Ribbon
Stencils - Prima, The Crafter's Workshop
Imagine Craft Creative Mediums - Gold, Purple
Place a stencil on a black door hanger.  If you don’t have a black one, consider painting one with black gesso.  Imagine’s Creative Medium works amazingly well on dark colors.  Use Iridescent Purple on the rose and  Metallic Gold on the flower stem.

Remove the Prima stencil and allow to dry.  Using  a stencil from The Crafter's Workshop, use Creative Medium Iridescent Purple around the opening.

Once dry, place another stencil from The Crafter's Workshop on top and tape in place so only LOVE will be covered.  Use Iridescent Purple through the stencil.

While waiting for the door hanger to dry, create the bow using the Bowdabra.

Fluff out the bow and tie to the door hanger.

This may be a door hanger, but consider using it as favors for the guests, or perhaps using it with the guest's table numbers.

Mixed Media Journal

Hi everyone, I've created another video post for Expressions Craft.  I used the Happy Fly Stamp set along with the Brick Wall  Stencil and the Designer Rectangle Frame chipboard embellishments.

Here's the video of my journal.

I began by painting the journal and chipboard elements with black gesso. Color was added using Fireworks Shimmery Craft Sprays from Imagine.  Butterflies form the stamp set were randomly stamped around the journal.  Butterflies and leaf stems were die cut from Rinea Foiled Papers.  Finally a phrase from the stamp set was added to the left side.

Ice Cream Boy from Expessions Crafts

Hi everyone, I'm on the Expressions Craft blog using Ice Cream Boy, which is such a cute stamp set.

I stamped the ice cream cone in black ink, then colored it with Memento Markers.  Then I fussy cut it for my project.

I mounted the ice cream cone on foam adhesives and offset it on oval die cuts then added it to a striped card.  Oh Yummy was tucked slightly underneath the cone.

Tea Background with Just For Fun Rubber Stamps

Hi everyone I've got a new card on the Just For Fun Rubber Stamps blog using some great stamps from the store to create my card.

Usually, all you can find are coffee related stamps (and I don't drink coffee) so I was thrilled to find this Tea Background stamp set in the store.

The stamp was inked it with assorted colors of Imagine inks then stamped it on a white panel.  The panel was matted with kraft cardstock and placed atop a ribbon wrapped card.

The phrase is from the Sentiments 3 unmounted stamp set and was stamped and die cut.  It was matted upon a larger oval and added to the card with foam adhesives.

Patriotic Eagle with Creative Vision Stamps

Hi everyone, check out a new card I've created using stamps from Creative Vision Stamps.

The Patriotic Eagle is an amazing stamp.  After stamping it with black ink, I colored it with Copic Markers. I die cut, but first fussy cut around the flag.  Then I matted it with a larger red die.

The star background was created with molding paste through a stencil.

Mother Giraffe and Baby from Creative Vision Stamps

Hi everyone, I've created a new card using stamps from Creative Vision Stamps.

I've used the Mother Giraffe and Baby, stamping them in brown ink then embossing them.  The image was die cut then matted with a larger die.

Canvas was added to a brown card and wrapped with ribbon.  The image was then adhered to the card.  The phrase from Cougarlicious was stamped and embossed, then die cut and matted with a larger die.

Butterfly Cards with Rinea Foiled Paper

Hi everyone, I've got a new post on the Rinea blog.

Nothing screams Spring like butterflies. These butterflies were die cut from Violet/Gold Glossy Foiled Paper and Gold/Gold Glossy Foiled Paper using Cheery Lynn Designs Dies. The butterflies are intricate and die cut beautifully from the foils.

Creating a vertical card using papers from Lemon Craft, a simple die cut butterfly was all that was needed to enhance the hard. I adhered the butterfly bodies together as I wanted the wings to be free. A simple phrase completed the card.

My next card uses the same papers and was oriented horizontally. A different shaped butterfly was also die cut from Violet/Gold Glossy Foiled Paper and adhered to the corner.  The phrase was die cut and added with foam adhesives.

Birthday Tags with Expressions Craft

Hi everyone, I'm on the Expression Crafts blog today with a set of tags.  I find tags to be small pieces of art that are fun to create.  Use tags on gift bags or cards.

I've used the Happy Bear stamp set which includes 3 different bears, a mini heart, a cupcake and separate sentiment.

I inked up this Birthday bear, coloring it with inks using an art dauber.

I used assorted Copic Markers to color in the second bear.

I used assorted scraps to create the tag and added the die cut elements.  Ribbons finished off the tags.

Blog Hop with Expo International

Hi everyone, I am participating in the Designer Crafts Connection blog hop.  This month we are working with Expo International, a wonderful site for trims and appliques.

I received Beline Lace Feather Fringe, 4" Glitter Chainette Fringe and rose patches.

I had this fun little pouch and wanted to alter it with these trims.

Using the 4" Glitter Chainette Fringe, I glued it to the edge of the pouch.

Then, I glued the Beline Lace Feather Fringe on top.  Sassy!!!

Next, I created a fun barrette by covering it with 2 strips of Beline Lace Feather Fringe.  Lining up the holes, I tied them together with pieces from the 4" Glitter Chainette Fringe.  Adding beads to the fringe created a fun effect.

What young lady wouldn't have fun with these items?

You can find links for all the designers creations at the Designer Crafts Connection blog.  Be sure to leave comments along the way for your chance to win a Treasure Box Giveaway from Expo International.
