Christmas Snow Globe Cards

Hi everyone, just wanted to post some lovely Snow Globe cards I created with Anna Griffin dies.

My first card uses Rinea Foiled Papers to create the globe and snow scene.  A sentiment from Joy Clair was stamped with StazOn Ink onto a banner, then placed on the card with foam adhesives for dimension.

My 2nd card was created with kraft cardstock and I inked the reindeer with brown ink, the snowflakes with blue ink and the trees with green ink.  For dimension, I added stickles for the snow and brads to the snowflakes.  A sentiment from Joy Clair was stamped with StazOn Ink onto a banner, then placed on the card with foam adhesives for dimension.

My 3rd card is a shaker card again using kraft cardstock.  I inked the trees with green ink and the house with red and brown inks.  Stickles were used to add snow on the exterior.  To create the shaker, I die cut several circle layers and adhered them for height as well as a piece of acetate.  Small beads were placed and the circle glued closed.  The sentiment is located inside the card as I didn't want to detract from the shaker.

Anna Griffin dies are large so they create the focal element of my cards.

Mixed Media Cards

Hi everyone, I've created some mixed media cards using backgrounds created with awesome colors from Lindy's Magicals Pigment Powders.

I mixed several different colors from the Drop Dead Diva collection to create the backgrounds.   I sprinkled Prima Donna Purple, Drop Dead Gorgeous Green and Sassy Sapphire on water color paper then, using a mini mister, I spritzed them with water.  Turning the paper in all directions allowed the colors to mix creating amazing backgrounds.

While waiting for the papers to dry, I spritzed Poppin Pink Flat Spray in a plastic bag, placed white ribbon inside and massaged the color into the ribbon.

For my first card, I cut the background paper to fit blue cardstock, added a strip of corrugated cardstock then wrapped it with twine before adding the panel to the card.

Using assorted embellishment, I completed the card, then added a sentiment that was stamped on a scrap of the background paper.

For my second card, I embossed the background panel with an embossing folder, then lightly inked it before adding it to a dark purple panel.  Using the dyed ribbon, I wrapped it around the panel and added flowers to the corner before adding the panel to the card.  A sentiment was added over the ribbon.

While I used the same background paper, I created 2 totally different cards.  Aren't they lovely?

Bowdabra Decorated Santa Gift Bags

Hi everyone, I've got a set of Christmas treat bags on the Bowdabra blog using  Lawn Fawn stamps and dies, and the Bowdabra with LARibbons to decorate my bags.

I've used white gift bags, but you could easily use kraft lunch bags - the idea would work easily on either types of bags.

I've used Lawn Fawn's Ho Ho Holidays stamp set and coordinating Ho Ho Holidays Lawn Cuts along with the Stitched Mountain Border Lawn Cuts to create 3 different scenes.

The stamps were colored with Copic Markers and then die cut.

A navy panel was added to each gift bag and the mountains were added to each panel.  Then it was simply a matter of determining how to use the stamps and dies on each gift bag.

I used LA Ribbons with Bowdabra to create different bows for each gift bag.

Using the bow wire, I tied the bows to each gift bag.

Aren't they sweet?

Before tying on the bows, I placed assorted goodies in each gift bags as well as a gift card for the recipient so they can buy a little something they'd like.  And since we are getting together this weekend, these treat bags will be a fun "something extra" to share.

Merry Christmas with JFF Stamps

Hi everyone, Just For Fun Rubber Stamps has disbanded the design team, but I still have projects to share.

I've used the Just For Fun Skinny Christmas Tree, coloring it with Memento markers.  I then die cut it and matted it with a larger die.

I created a background using a toner sheet and foils from Creative Vision Stamps.  The panel was then added to a green card and the tree added on top.  Merry Christmas is from the Sentiments 1 stamp set.

Merry Christmas.

Quick and Easy Christmas Projects - Day 10

Hi everyone.  Christmas will be here before we know it.  The last five years I've blogged about last minute Christmas ideas you could make in under 60 minutes.  Well, it's that time again and I've got some new projects to share.

It's day 10 and it's also Christmas Eve.  If you need to finalize those last gifts, check out the gift bags I created.

I love created gift bags for Christmas gifts.  I used ink and a stencil for the backgrounds of each gift bag.  Using papers I had on hand, I decorated the front panels.  The phrase is from Lawn Fawn and it was die cut with Lawn Fawn dies.

The ribbons are from LARibbons and I used the Bowdabra to create the bows.  The excess bow wire was used to tie the bows to each bag.

Now all I have to do is fill each gift bag for someone special.

Quick and Easy Christmas Projects - Day 9

Hi everyone.  Christmas will be here before we know it.  The last five years I've blogged about last minute Christmas ideas you could make in under 60 minutes.  Well, it's that time again and I've got some new projects to share.

I am on the Rinea blog today with a fabulous Christmas Box and it fits perfectly with my 10 days of Christmas projects.

Who doesn't love to give gifts in a specially crafted gift box?

I began by painting a small box with black ink as I wanted the foils to stand out.  Using the Jolly Foiled Paper Variety Pack, I cut a layer of Ruby to fit the box top, then die cut a layer of Gold Starstruck to fit.

I had fun adding lots of layers and embellishments.  I die cut circles from Ebony/Gold Glossy Foiled Paper and Silver Starstruck.  Then I created a pointsettia by die cutting and embossing Ruby and Emerald foils.  Since I still had available space, I die cut stockings and added a ribbon stamped sentiment from Joy Clair's Merry Christmas Sentiments on top.

Around the sides of the box, I adhered Emerald Starstruck, then tore Gold Starstruck and added that on top.  Leaves and berries were die cut from Emerald and Ruby and adhered to the corners.

Quick and Easy Christmas Projects - Day 8

Hi everyone.  Christmas will be here before we know it.  The last five years I've blogged about last minute Christmas ideas you could make in under 60 minutes.  Well, it's that time again and I've got some new projects to share.

I had this lovely Memory Box die and thought it would make for a great wall hanging.

Using the Memory Box die, I die cut it  from Rinea foils:  Silver/Silver Starstruck, Ruby/Gold Glossy and Emerald/Gold Glossy.

The foils cut easily and the die cut panels are amazing.

Die cut a large oval from Gold/Gold Starstruck.

Adhere the die cut Ruby layer to the Gold oval.  Fussy cut the other layers and re-assemble on top of the phrase.  Fussy cut the silver Christmas word and place it on the main image slightly off center

Paint a wood panel with Plaid paint and adhere the foiled panel on top.

Quick and Easy Christmas Projects - Day 7

Hi everyone.  Christmas will be here before we know it.  The last five years I've blogged about last minute Christmas ideas you could make in under 60 minutes.  Well, it's that time again and I've got some new projects to share.

Today I'm sharing a set of Christmas tags.

Using shipping tags, I cut Rinea Ruby/Ruby Starstruck Foiled Paper to fit, then embossed each with a Cuttlebug embossing folder.  Memory Box Christmas Bells were die cut from Rinea Silver/Gold Glossy Foiled Papers, Ruby/Gold Glossy Foiled Paper, Emerald/Gold Glossy Foiled Paper, and Silver Starstruck Foiled Paper.

Assemble the bells on each tag, mixing the Silver and Gold elements.  Cut another flower and place on top, forming it for dimension.  Add a stamped phrase using a Joy Clair stamp and tie ribbons.

Add these wonderful tags to your Christmas gifts.

Quick and Easy Christmas Projects - Day 6

Hi everyone.  Christmas will be here before we know it.  The last five years I've blogged about last minute Christmas ideas you could make in under 60 minutes.  Well, it's that time again and I've got some new projects to share.

How about decorating mini baskets for the holiday tablet this year.  It's quite easy using the Bowdabra.

Using Christmas ribbons from Laribbons, I used the Bowdabra to create a bow and tied it to the handle of the basket.

Place tissue paper in the basket, then fill with fun treats.

Quick and Easy Christmas Projects - Day 5

Hi everyone.  Christmas will be here before we know it.  The last five years I've blogged about last minute Christmas ideas you could make in under 60 minutes.  Well, it's that time again and I've got some new projects to share.

Today I'm sharing a set of Christmas treat boxes using products from  the Rubby Buggy store.

Using a treat box die, I die cut Bazzill Marshmallow cardstock, then scored the pieces with Scor-Pal Scoring Board before assembling.

I needed three treat boxes, so I also die cut Bazzill Candy Bar and Gumdrop cardstocks.

Using the papers from the Laserowe Love - Winter Song collection, I cut the papers to fit and adhered them.  I then formed the boxes using Scor-Tape.

Using Lawn Fawn Ho Ho Ho Holidays stamps and Lawn Fawn Small Stitched Circle dies, I created dimensional circle tags, stamping the phrases with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink.

Punching holes in the tags, I tied each to the boxes.  Finally, I added phrases to the front of each box.

Then I simply filled with assorted candies for the recipient.

Lavina World Challenge #16

Hi everyone, it's time for the next challenge at Lavinia World Challenges.  Please check it out and join in the fun.

I'm using the Christmas Eve stamp today.  Because I wanted to add assorted colors, I placed the stamp on my MISTI and inked portions of the image in the colors I wanted.

Once inked, I die cut the image with a Spellbinders die.  While the image was still within the die, I inked around it with light blue ink.

The effect is a  nice white border where the die was sitting.

The stamped image was matted with a larger green die and then added to a card created with assorted layers of pattern papers.

I also created another card using a different die.  To finish I added gold stickles to the trees and the Fairy Merry Christmas phrase.

Would love to see what you create for Challenge #16.  The winner of the challenge will receive a

$15 gift certificate to Lavinia World to shop for more goodies.   Remember there is a new challenge every other Thursday.  Can't wait to see what you create.

Thanks for stopping by.
