Follow your heart tin

Hi everyone, I am blog hopping today with some amazing designers.  I've created a fun little altered tin.

I began by stamping ColorBox Background Basics by Ann Butler - Basket 1 with ColorBox Crafter's Ink by Ann Butler in Blueberry.  Crafter's Ink works on many surfaces, and I chose to heat set it to seal the color.

I used EasyCast Clear Casting Epoxy to create the heart I used in this project.  Following the instructions, I mixed the resin and hardener for 2 minutes in a mixing container.  Then I poured the mix into a new container and mixed again for another minute before pouring into the EasyCast Jewelry molds.  Be sure you have sprayed the molds with the Mold Release and Conditioner.  This makes it so much easier to release the formed resin pieces.

Allow the pieces to set for about 24 hours.  If you have sprayed the molds with the Mold Release and Conditioner, it makes it so much easier to release the formed resin pieces.  Once they are ready they will easily pop out of the mold.  I added color with Canyon Crafter's Ink.  See how nicely the color adheres to the resin heart.

I used Ultra Seal Multi Purpose Sealer to adhere the pattern paper to both sides of the tin.

Once the papers dried, I stamped a sentiment on the left side.  Then I poured a thin layer of resin on top.   I then waited about 10 minutes before adding my embellishments.  They easily adhered in place.  Next I used a toothpick to add resin to the letters creating a domed appearance.

Velvet ribbon was also inked with Blueberry Ink then adhered around the edge of the tin.

All things are possible

Hi everyone, it's time for another share of Joy Clair Stamps.  Pop by the store, you will absolutely love their stamps.

Today, I'm working with the All things possible stamp set.

Keeping this card simple, I stamped 2 sets of footprints across the card in black ink.

The sentiment was matted with black cardstock and then added to the card with foam adhesives for dimension.

Today, I'm working with BFF.  These stamps are hysterical, you have to see them.

Since I went with a birthday theme, I embossed the background with an embossing folder then added the stamped images on top.

Such a cute stamp set!

Bloom where you're planted

Hi everyone, it's time for another share of Joy Clair Stamps.  Pop by the store, you will absolutely love their stamps.

Today, I'm working with the Grow With Faith stamp set.

I repeatedly stamped the flowers along the bottom of my card.  Dew drops were added to the flower centers.  The panel was matted with black cardstock and added to the card with foam adhesives for dimension.

Watering cans were stamped and added above the flowers.  The sentiment was stamped and then die cut and added to the corner of the panel.

Thanks for stopping by.

Etched Hand Mirror

It's my turn on the Proxxon blog and I've altered a hand mirror.  It was in my stash for a very long time so I wanted to finally do something with it!!

I wanted to etch the glass so I used stickers to spell out "I am beautiful".  I positioned the letters around the glass then die cut a circle and placed it in the center.

I placed a large amount of etchall etching crème on the mirror completely covering the letters and overlapping the die cut circle.   I find the thicker the crème is placed, the better the etching appears.  As you can see my etching crème is more of a chocolate brown than a beige.  The reason is because I've used my etchall etching crème a lot.  However, that definitely does NOT impede the quality of the etching.

After allowing the etching crème to sit for approximately 15 minutes, I carefully scraped it off and replaced it back in the jar.  Since etchall etching crème is reusable, remember to scrape and save as much as you can.

Gently rinse the glass to remove the remaining etching crème and remove the letters.  Once all the etching crème has been removed, also remove the circle.  As you can see, the entire outer portion of the glass is etched while the center is still clear.

Adhere the mirror in place and and finish decorating.

Please stop by the Proxxon blog for complete details of how I altered this hand mirror.

Celebrate he has risen

Hi everyone, it's time for another share of Joy Clair Stamps.  Pop by the store, you will absolutely love their stamps.

Today, I'm working with He has Risen stamp set which is a set of 5 stamps that can be used for both Bible journaling as well card creations.

I stamped the cross on white cardstock and colored it with Copic Markers.  As I wanted to use this on an oval card, I die cut the image, cutting around the bottom of the cross.

To coordinate with the purple cloth, I created a purple card.  I added Celebrate on a tag across the bottom of the card.

Thanks for stopping by today and be sure to stop by the Joy Clair store and check out their amazing stamps.

Erin Sparler of EyeConnect Crafts (USA) and Bibi Lindahl of Rubber Dance Stamps (Norway) met online in the fall of 2015. They quickly hit it off and discovered that they had a LOT in common, or as Erin so eloquently put it: There is no word for old friends who have just met!

The Design Teams have been generously supplied with chipboards from EyeConnect Crafts and rubber stamps from Rubber Dance Stamps and we are all thrilled to show you the results with this joint Blog Hop.

What's in it for you?
Glad you asked!
One lucky winner will receive a Gift Certificate worth $25 from BOTH EyeConnect Crafts AND Rubber Dance to spend on their websites!
Another lucky winner will receive a surprise gift from BOTH
Erin and Bibi, with $25 worth of products from their two companies!

What do you have to do?
Not much!
1) Visit all the blog posts in the hop and leave a comment.

Winners will be announced 18th February

Enjoy the hop and good luck!

For my project, I've used EyeConnect Craft's Totem Peacock.  Because the male is more colorful than the female, I chose to create a male peacock.

I first painted the chipboard pieces with Gesso.   Gessoing first really allows the colors you use to pop.  Once dry, I used assorted colors of ColorBox Chalk Inks then assembled the peacock with Assorted Browns Mini Brads also from EyeConnect Crafts.

And this peacock really thinks he's sexy, hence the sentiment from Rubber Dance Art Stamps - Sarcastic Superpower - which is a fun and somewhat snarky collection of red rubber stamps.

The background was embossed with a Cuttlebug embossing folder then lightly inked for definition.  My peacock was mounted on two large ovals of white and kraft and the sentiment was slipped between the feathers.

Isn't he just adorable!

Please stop by everyone's blog to see what they've created today.

Happiness is a new baby girl

It's a new challenge at Scor-Pal and this month's challenge is to use pink or blue.

Since a friend recently had a girl, I decided to create a baby girl card.

I started by cutting pink cardstock 5 1/2" x 6" and scoring every 1/2".  Then I rotated the cardstock and scored again every 1/2", creating a checkerboard effect.

Inking over the score lines with pink ink allows the lines to become more prominent.  A strip of brown cardstock and a die cut scalloped border were added across the card.  The baby was stamped on white cardstock then assembled atop pink and brown die cuts.

Happiness is..... was stamped and added to the front cover and the rest of the sentiment was added to the interior.

For the interior, I cut pink cardstock to fit and scored 1/2" around the edges.  I also inked the edges for definition.  2 sentiments were added inside.

I also created an envelope using my Scor-Pal.  Scor-Tape is the perfect adhesive to assemble the envelope.

This is a perfect card for a newborn baby girl, don't you think!

Please stop by the Scor-Pal blog to see the design team's projects this month.
