Happy Mother's Day

Hey friends, with Mother's Day coming, it's not too early to begin creating a wonderful card or two for that special woman in your life.  And this is posted on the  Zig  blog today.

Today I stamped this cute pup from Stampavie on Cryogen White Cardstock.  Then I used Zig Brushables to color her.  The Zig Brushables are awesome markers because they come as dual colors.  One end is the full color and the other end is 50% lighter.

Create a 5 1/2" square card from pink cardstock.
Use your Scor-Pal or Scor-Buddy to score at 5 1/2" and fold to create the card base.

Stamp the image and color with the following markers:
Cool Cucumber
Pale Yellow
Baby Pink
Platinum (not shown)

Using the Brushables makes it very easy to create dimension in your projects by creating gradient colors.

Cut black cardstock 5" x 5" and adhere to the card base.
Cut green cardstock 4 1/2" x 4 1/2" and adhere to the card.
Place a rub-on sentiment on a strip of green cardstock and mat with black cardstock.
Add across the center of the card.
Die cut a large oval from black cardstock and adhere over the sentiment with foam adhesives.
Add the image with foam adhesives for dimension.

There you have a sweet card for Mom.
Supplies:
Cardstock: ThePapertemptress.com
Stamp: Stampavie
Dies: Spellbinders
Markers: Zig Brushable Markers
Rub-on: My Sentiments Exactly

Beautiful Butterfly

Good morning everyone. I am loving the digital images available at Cornish Heritage Farms.

Today I'm using the Butterfly 2  digital image as the focal point on this card.  I printed it large enough to fit on a 4" square panel of white cardstock, then colored the image with assorted Copic Markers.  I wanted it bright and colorful so I chose lots of summery colors.  I then picked out some corresponding cardstock to emphasize the colors.

The sentiment is from Ornamental Beauty.

Daddy

It's another reveal at Prickley Pear Rubber Stamps.

I've used the following stamps:

New Summer Supplement and D033 Flourished Oval Die.

I love the smaller silhouette image and the impression of a father helping his son reel in the catch so I selected some older papers I had with a father theme and cut "daddy" to use as the sentiment.  Under the image I used the Flourished Die for more dimension.

Thanks for stopping by and don't forget to check out the new stamps available here.

Have a Fabulous Day

Hi friends.  This week I have a post on the Classy Cards n Such blog.

Beverly has a wonderful assortment of products in the store and this fabulous Stampavie Stamp  called Blossom Birds just caught my eye. I prefer creating 5" x 6 1/2" cards and this larger stamp is perfect for me.

I used the new Memory Box die -  Twirling Vine Frame  which  is an intricate die that can be used with most die cutting systems.  I had an issue cutting the frames at first and was about to discard my black piece until I realized it would be great as a mat for the green cardstock  frame, so I adhered them together. Love it!

A close up of the stamped image fitting perfectly inside the frame.  This frame has tremendous possibilities!!!  The sentiment is from Justrite Stamper's Topsy Turvy Cakes.

Just Because

Hey everyone, have you checked out the newest goodies in the Rubber Buggy store?  Kellie  has tons of wonderful new products and even some of those hard to find stamps you've been looking for.  Check out the store here.

Today's I've used some fun Bildmalarna Stamps.  It's so much fun to build your image when combining stamps!

I used So Sweet  and perched her on Stone.    I colored each image with Copic markers found in the following collections which can also be found in the store.
Perfect Primaries
Pale Pastels
Floral Favorites

I selected paper from Prima's Londonerry paper pad.  To focus on the image, I used Spellbinders circle dies and perched her on top.  The sentiment is from Justrite Stampers.

Supplies:
Cardstock: Bazzill
Pattern paper: Prima
Stamps: Bildmalarna, Justrite Stampers
Ink: Clearsnap, Memento
Markers: Copic Markers

Smiles and Friends

It's a new challenge at Justrite Stampers  and we've been asked to create a window in our project.

It's been awhile since I've submitted my cards to Justrite's challenge which is a shame because I have so many of their stamps and love what I create with them.  Time, it seems, just gets away from me.

Today, I've used this awesome French Rose Background Stamp.   Originally, I placed the sentiment on top of the card, but finding this challenge got me to rethink my card.

I inked it with Clearsnap's Nautical Dye Ink and then embossed it with clear embossing powder.

Using an assortment of Faber Castell Gelatos, I colored the image.

Using a Spellbinders oval die, I die cut a window in the card.  As it seemed quite plain, I die cut a scalloped oval to place on top.  Before assembling the card, I distressed the edges.

The interior of the card uses a sentiment from Botanical Medallions and Banners.

Supplies:
Cardstock:  Bazzill
Stamps: Justrite Stampers
Ink, Embossing Powder: Clearsnap
Gelatos: Faber Castell

A New Home

It's a new challenge at Cornish Heritage Farms and Cindy has asked us to think Spring.

This Mushroom Lane #51  digital image just screamed spring time with it's large flower, the vines and the butterflies flying about.  I colored the image with Copic markers and added a touch of green embossed cardstock behind it.

The sentiment is from Script Essential Expressions  which is an amazing set of stamps.  There is something in this set for every occasion.

Tissue Box

Hi everyone.

Last month the Scor-pal team got to make a bunch of beautiful boxes.  If you haven't seen them, check out all the varieties we came up with on the Scor-pal blog.

I decided to spruce up those little square tissue boxes that are all over the house.  This "cover" fits right over the tissue box.

To create the box, cut 2 pieces of  cardstock 5 1/8" x 9 1/2".
With the long sides at the top of the Scor-pal,  score each piece at 1/2" and 5".

To create the top, cut another piece of cardstock  6 1/2"  x 6 1/2".
Score at 1" around all 4 sides.

Cut in on each side to the score line.

Add Scor-tape to the 1/2" sides of the box pieces and assemble the pieces together.
Add Scor-tape to the cut tabs on the box top and assemble to form the top.

Cut yellow pattern paper 4 1/4" x 4 1/4" - this will fit the box top.
Tape a Spellbinders circle die in the center of the pattern paper and run through your die cut machine.

Die cut a scalloped circle from coordinating pattern paper to achieve a nice finished edge.

Adhere the scalloped piece to the top.
Add Scor-tape around the box top and adhere the pattern paper on top.

Cut 4 pieces of pattern paper 4 1/4" x 1 1/2".
Punch the long edges of each piece.
Ink each piece with brown ink and adhere along the edges of the box top.

Cut 4 pieces of striped pattern paper 5" x 4 1/4".
Adhere each to the sides of the box.
Ink the edges of the box with brown ink.

Supplies:
Score tool: Scor-pal
Adhesive: Scor-tape
Cardstock: Stampin Up
Pattern Paper: Little Yellow Bicycle
Die cuts: Spellbinders

Easter Basket

Good morning Steph here with an  Easter centerpiece I created for Scor-pal.  This would be lovely on the center of the Easter table.

Starting with a sheet of 12" x 12" cardstock, score at 3 1/2" and 8 1/2".  Rotating the cardstock, score again at 3 1/2" and 8 1/2".  Cut to the score lines on all four corners, creating the flaps for the basket.

Using Scor-tape, apply the tape the smaller ends and fold the larger up to create the basket base.

Using a Spellbinders Scalloped die, die cut coordinating cardstock to add around the basket.

Stamp an image on coordinating cardstock, then die cut with the same Spellbinders die.  Score 1/2" from the top edge and fold over.  Add Scor-tape and align the stamped piece so that the scallops are slightly offset.  Fold the scored edge into the basket to create a finished edge.

To create the handle, cut a strip of coordinating cardstock 1 1/2" x 12".  Score at 1/4" and 1/2" from both long edges for a little dimension.  Ink edges and staple to the sides of the basket.

Cut 1" strips of coordinating cardstock and create rosettes by scoring every 1/4".

For the sides of the basket, I created double rosettes, creating  the top rosette using cardstock cut to 1" x 12" and the bottom rosette using cardstock cut to 1 1/2" x 12".  The small rosette was scored every 1/4" and the large rosette was scored every 1/2".  The rosettes were adhered together and then adhered to the sides of the basket.

Create six small rosettes in multiple colors and add coordinating 1 1/2" punched circles on top.  Add letter stickers to the top of each rosette.  Add color to the letter stickers with Gold Smooch Ink.

Cut 3 strips of cardstock each 1" x 9" and score every 1/4".  Adhere together and use these as egg holders.

Place the eggs in their holders inside the basket.

Supplies:
Scoring Tool: Scor-pal
Adhesive: Scor-tape
Cardstock:  Coredinations
Stamp: Justrite Stampers
Dies: Spellbinders
Punch, Stickers:  EKSuccess
Ink: Clearsnap

Prickley Pear Rubber Stamps Spring Reveal Day #4

Hello and welcome to day #4 of the Spring Release from  Prickley Pear Rubber Stamps.  Check out the new stamps available now.  They are perfect for Mother's day, Father's Day and graduation.

Today, I'm using a new image in two different ways - Fishing with Dad.  This image has lots of possibilities.  Think Father's Day, birthday or even "just because".    This red rubber stamp is a small silhouette stamp.   Since I wanted the image to stand out, I die cut the image and added it to the tag in layers. The PPRS Scalloped Oval Die was the perfect backdrop to anchor the image on the tag.

To create the background, I used a combination of Faber Castell Gelatos in shades of gold and blues, rubbing the color into the tag with my finger and a little water.  I did the same around the image.    Once dry, I added a sentiment from the Oak and Maple Leaf  clear stamp set in the corner.

This next card uses the new Gears 2 Clear Stamp Set- CLR025A.   I was going for a distressed look with this card, so I used shades of brown for the card and randomly stamped several gears on the panel, then distressed the edges.  The sentiment is also from the new Gears 2 Clear Stamp set.

Prickley Pear Rubber Stamps Spring Reveal Day #2

Hello and welcome to day #2 of the Spring Release from Prickley Pear Rubber Stamps..

Today, I'm using one of the new Mother's Day images - HH062- Love You Mom.  This red rubber stamp is designed as a silhouette.   To truly focus on the image, I die cut the image so that it would fit inside an embossed paper doily.   A gel pen added just a touch of color on the dresses and some mini pearls added some color to the flowers.

Inside, I stamped this lovely coordinating Mother's Day sentiment - FF0052 - Happy Mother's Day2.

This awesome  Corner Lillies Digital Stamp  is from Cornish Heritage Farms and is both simple and elegant. I decided to create a simple card and used it as the focal element, coloring the image with Zig Markers.  The sentiment is from the Script Essentials Stamp set.

Is this Stampavie pup adorable or what!!  I've used a combination of Bazzill cardstock and Webster's Pages pattern paper.

The pup was colored with Copic Markers in shades of gray and the rose was colored with red/orange.

He's mounted on a Spellbinders die and placed on the card.  The sentiment is from Justrite Stampers.

Supplies:
Cardstock: Bazzill
Pattern paper:  Webster's Pages
Stamps: Stampavie, Justrite Stampers
Ink: Memento

Goodbye for now

Today's challenge at Cornish Heritage Farms is hosted by Anne and she has asked us to create a travel-themed project.

When I think of travel, I think of saying goodbye to someone as well as have fun, enjoy yourself, and I'll miss you.  Working along this theme, I created a 5 1/2" square card and stamped a background of clocks from the Time To Stamp set   directly onto pattern paper. These are nice sized stamps and this clock worked great in each corner.

For the sentiment, I used a stamp from the Script Essential Expressions set, die cutting it into a circle to fit in the middle of the stamped clocks.

With Sympathy

It's another reveal at Prickley Pear Rubber Stamps.

Today I created a smaller card than usual to put the focus on the stamp.

I've used the following stamps and die:

CLR027B - Winter Scalloped Oval 3 and die
DD0167 - With Sympathy rubber

I embossed the card front before adding the image which I colored with Zig Markers.

Teddy Tag

I have doilies, tons of doilies around the house taking up space.   So today, I decided to do something different with them.  I used Globecraft & Piccolo  Embossing Powder to create this lovely backdrop for my tag.

I used Brownstone Embossing Powder and it held nicely to the doily.  Since doilies are very thin tissue, you just need to be gentle or it will tear.

The Teddy is from Vintage Teddy Flourish  and he was also covered with Brownstone Embossing Powder and then coated with Titanium White 3D Enamel Gel.

The center bezel was also covered with Brownstone Embossing Powder and then Clear Thick Embossing Powder was added on top.  All items were adhered together with Glastique Finishing Glaze which also doubles as the  adhesive.

Thanks for stopping by today.  Now head on over to the Globecraft Blog   to see what else I've been creating.
