Happy Spring with Plaid Paints

Spring has sprung, so pull out all of your Plaid Paints, supplies from Hobby Lobby, Michaels and The Dollar Tree and have fun creating a perfect Spring sign.

Paints:  Plaid Paints

Wood Elements:  Hobby Lobby, Dollar Tree 

Flowers:  Michaels Stores

I liked the gray background so I started by covering the panel with post it notes.

I wanted to be able to freely paint the edges without getting paint on the background.

Then I painted the birdhouse and all the wood elements I was going to use in my project.

I had mushrooms, flowers, leaves, snails, butterflies, a birdhouse and much more.

Once all the elements were painted, I placed them on the panel deciding where I wanted to adhere them.

I first glued the birdhouse in place, then placed all other elements around it.

Finally, I cut a foam block to fit inside the birdhouse and added some artificial flowers.
