I'm working with the Mini Paper Quilt Kit which comes with an assortment of products to create a fun quilted project.
I chose to create an art panel to hang in my studio.
Following the instructions, I cut the pieces to size, then fused the tissue to the EZ Steam. Unfortunately, I applied my tissue backwards, but not to worry as you really don't know it's backwards once the project is completed. Remember, there are no wrong ways to create!
Using the included sponge, I sponged on several colors of Jacquard Fabric Paint, starting with the lightest color and working inwards.
I continued adding color until I was happy with the overall effect.
Next, I used white paint through the Be In Love stencil randomly around the panel. Then I used the included texture sheet to add more texture about the panel with white paint.
To finish, I sewed strips of fabric around the panel to finish the edges. I also randomly stitched on the panel. The photo was matted and also sewn in place. Lace was added to the top edge and to the photo then the sentiment was sewn in place.
I inserted a dowel through the pocket I made in the top edge and tied on some ribbon to create the hanger.
