It's another challenge day at Sugarcreek Hollow. Today's challenge was to create faux wood paper. There are so many ways to do this, but I chose the "easy" way. I love my Tim Holtz products and found a wood grain embossing folder he just came out with. So I embossed my paper then lightly inked the raised portion - love it. Then I added a new Christmas image from Sugarcreek.

Blessed Season
Good morning it's Stamp It Up Wednesday at Blackleaf Studios. I hope you've been enjoying all the images and papers this month. They are so fun and versatile. For my card, I used the Tinseltown background papers which are lovely in shades of blues and browns, perfect for any creation from winter to Christmas themes. The Christmas bell image is part of this digi set:
I printed the bell large so it would be the focal point of my card. Then I colored the image with Prisma pencils. Using my Circle Nestabilities, I die cut the image, then added some Crystal Stickles for some shimmer and shine.
So pop on over to the store now and get your Christmas images. They are sure to please.

Holiday Season
Good morning and welcome to Sensational Saturday's with Sugar Creek Hollow. Today the team is using an assortment of Christmas images/sentiments on their projects. I find that sentiments are sometimes the hardest part of creating a card. Luckily Sugar Creek Hollow has some amazing sentiments that can be used for many occasions and my choice today is perfect for the upcoming holidays. After printing out my sentiment, I lightly sponged ink around the edges, then mounted it on cardstock. I added some Spica pen for the main letter, but it is hard to see.
Now head off to the rest of the team's blogs and see what they've done this week.

Give Thanks
Sorry for today's lousy photos. My computer crashed so I had to upload "old school" and the process really does NOT create a wonderful looking image at all! I need a new computer!!!!!!
The challenge this week at Justrite Stampers is to use the following colors on a project:
This is what I came up with:
I used Nestabilities to create the card base, then layered the navy cardstock on top. I embossed the navy cardstock with my Autumn Cuttlebug folder. The pilgrim fella was cut with my Cricut, Thanksgiving cartridge, and then paper pieced. The sentiment is from the Autumn Blessings Borders and Centers .
Supplies:
Cardstock: Bazzill
Embossing folder: Cuttlebug
Die cuts: Spellbinders, Nestabilities; Cricut, Thanksgiving cartridge
Stamps: Justrite
Ink: Memento

Christmas
Good morning and welcome to Sensational Saturday's with Sugar Creek Hollow. Today, we have a great color challenge for you.
The colors we want you to use this week are as follows: light Blue, Kraft, Chocolate, and light pink
These are some of my favorite colors. I used one of the new Christmas sentiments, adding just a little Spica pen to some of the flourishes to make it sparkle. Unfortunately, the sparkle is a little hard to see. But isn't the image wonderful!!
Now head off to the rest of the team's blogs and see what they've done this week.

Journal
This time of year, I always find it handy to have a journal ready for making notes of things I have to do or things I need to do. I found this book in the local store and thought it needed a little dressing up. Using MyStampBOX stamps Colour Me Stamps, I stamped "journal" and colored them with Copic markers. I also stamped several words from the Bold Blocks set on the acrylic note cards. The punch around the edge is Martha Stewart.
And the finished journal:

Ink: Memento
Markers: Copic
Cardstock: American Crafts
Pattern paper: Daisy D

Love Mini Album
I created this mini book that I think would be a wonderful shower/wedding gift. Created with Quick Quotes fabulous Irresistible line, it's beautiful in shades of black and white and fabulously different papers. I've added a touch of red throughout as well as stamped sentiments and pearls. Who cannot create without pearls! The book measures approximately 6" x 6" and each page has been cut slightly smaller to allow some of the white edges show.
Spellbinders Nestabilites were used for the squares on the front. I used my Cricut to cut the heart and phrase.
Cricut was again used for the heart and a small stamped sentiment was added to the center. A few jeweled brads were also added.
Another stamped sentiment was added along with a pretty punched edge.
Another sentiment plus some pretty pearls finished off this book.
Just add photos of the happy couple and it's done. Or, give it as a gift for the happy couple to add photos of their special day.
Supplies:
Cardstock: Bazzill
Pattern paper: Quick Quotes
DIe cuts: Cricut Expression; Spellbinders, Nestabilities
Ink: Memento, Colorbox
Stamps: Hero Arts, Hampton Arts
Pearls: Want 2 Scrap
Brads: Making Memories
Punch: EKSuccess
Ribbon: Unknown
Book: Michaels

Joyous Christmas
It's create magic Monday at Blackleaf and I used their digi papers and the reindeer for my card. I sized the paper to print at 4" x 6" so as not to waste any paper or ink, then matted it on brown cardstock. The reindeer was colored with Prisma colored pencils to give it a rugged look.
Don't forget to check out Blackleaf for lots of wonderful Christmas images.

With Sympathy
The new weekly challenge # 43 at Justrite Stampers is to create a support card, whether it be sympathy or friendship. Justrite Stampers has so many stamps appropriate for any occasion and I chose to use Thinking of You Borders and Centers to create a Sympathy card. I used a green Spica pen to outline the flourishes on the sentiment then added a little yellow around them.
Now I don't generally add an interior sentiment. But for this card, I wanted to complete the inside and I felt that adding Celebrations Demi Phrases was appropriate. I love how this card turned out.
Supplies:
Cardstock: Bazzill
Pattern paper: K&Co.
Stamps: Justrite
Ink: Memento
Markers: Copic Spica
Pearls: Want2scrap.com
Dies: Spellbinders, Nestabilities
Punch: Martha Stewart

Caution!!!!
My first design team project for SIWL was a word bubble which was really fun to work with.
This is epitomizes my 15 year old son at this stage of his life.
I first inked the edges of the word bubble in Ranger Black Soot
Next, I cut the Striped paper to fit the word bubble, sanding the edging where necessary
I then tore another Grunge sheet to layer across the lower half
Then I added a 1" strip across the middle
I matted Bingo cards with black cardstock and add to the left side
I matted the fabric letters on black cardstock and adhere
Of course, I had to add several Skulls and arrows
Supplies:
Word Bubble: SIWL
Cardstock: American Crafts
Pattern papers: Dream Street, Grunge collection
Ink: Ranger Black Soot
Grungeboard elements: Ranger, Tim Holtz
Bingo Cards: Tattered Angels
Stickers: Lil Davis
Check out SIWL for some really fun products and projects by the design team. And don't forget to enter the current give away.
