Celebrate the trip

Hi everyone.    It's time for a new challenge at  The Ink Spot.  This week's theme is travel.

 

 

I stamped the Netting Backgrounder on cardstock and used that for the base of the card.  On top I added an assortment of elements that provide a travel feel.  And since I am heading for a cruise shortly, these elements were appropriate.

 

Celebrate is from the Birthday Greeting stamp set.  And who wouldn't celebrate as they head towards a trip?

Life is short Card

Hi everyone.    It's time for a new challenge at  The Ink Spot.  This week's theme Fun and Fancy.

 

 

The background was embossed and lightly inked.  I love Rainy Day Riley and how he's dancing in the rain. I colored him with Copic Markers then die cut him.

 

 

I've used the Life is Short stamp, placing it slightly behind the die cut image.  Finishing up is a  scrap of lace under the sentiment.  I placed it on foam adhesives for dimension.

Missing You Card

Hi everyone.    It's time for a new challenge at  The Ink Spot.  This week's theme is to create a masculine card, so pull out your stamps and get creating.

I've created a card using some fun stamps from Cornish Heritage Farms.

The background was created with a Cuttlebug embossing Folder and lightly inked for dimension.  The tag was inked with distress ink and placed on top.

 

The post card and sentiment are from the We Remember stamp set.  This stamp set has 15+ images and phrases that can be used for lots of projects.   The post card and sentiment were matted with kraft cardstock and adhered to the card.  I slipped a ticket under the post card.

Missing You was added to the card with foam adhesives for dimension.

Hello, Friend

Hi everyone, it's time for a new challenge at The Ink Spot.   This week's challenge is to pair a Riley or Cornish Heritage Farms image with plaid.

I love this Baby elephant.  She is a digital image available at the Cornish Heritage Farms store and I colored her with pink Copic Markers to coordinate with the plaid background.  I wanted her to pop, so I fussy cut her and added her atop a die cut circle with a scdrap of ribbon underneath.

The sentiment is from the Friends Expressions stamp set.  I cut it into a pennant shape and slipped it under the circle.

Isn't she just the sweetest!!

This week's challenge is Animal Antics so I paired Bouncy Ball Riley with Make your parents proud.

Remember bouncing on those balls when you were a kid?  Didn't they make you happy?  They still make me happy thinking about them so the sentiment is a perfect pairing.

Riley was colored with Copic Markers and then die cut and added to the card on a pink mat.  I was in a pink frame of mind, so everything is pink!

Life holds special magic

I've use a Cornish Heritage Farms Backgrounders  -  Butterflies.  I love creating 5" x 6 1/2" cards and the backgrounders fits the front of my cards perfectly.

 

I added color with Faber Castell Gelatos and blended them with a baby wipe. 

 

Then I paired the butterflies with a Riley & Co. stamp - Life Holds Special Magic.

Celebrate with Cornish Heritage Farms

Garden of Peace

It's a new challenge at Cornish Heritage Farms, and it's time to see your Thomas Kinkade projects.  Today I'm using the Garden of Prayer stamp, stamping it in brown.

I wanted to show off the beauty of this stamp by adding some "spot" color.  Using this technique allows just a portion of the image to show some color.  I think this really shows off the wonderful stamps.

 

Using Faber Castell Gelatos, I colored in the stream and the sky.

Angels and Christmas Wishes

It's a new challenge at Cornish Heritage Farms, and we'd love to see angels on your creations.  There are some wonderful angels in the store, but had this lovely angel on my desk so I decided to use her.

 

The angel was cut using my Cricut. 

I die cut and distressed a large oval and placed music tape across the center.

Then I mounted the angel on top with foam adhesives so she appears to be floating. 

 

The sentiment, Christmas Wishes, is from the Night Before Christmas Stamp set.

Give Thanks

It's a new challenge at Cornish Heritage Farms, and we'd love to see some food, after all Thanksgiving is not too far away now.

I'm using Turkey in the Pumpkin Patch, after all turkey is food right?

Rare and wonderful....

It's a new challenge at Cornish Heritage Farms, and we'd love to see circles on your projects.

The card background was embossed with a Cuttlebug Embossing Folder and then lightly inked.  Several circles were die cut, inked and added to the card.

Bird mail Anniversary

Hi everyone, It's a new challenge at Cornish Heritage Farms, and we love to see anniversary cards.  I've used Bird Mail digital stamp from CHF.  This is such a fun image with lots of possibilities and since he can't be home for their anniversary, he sent her bird mail.

I colored the image with Copic Markers.  Because I wanted to die cut it into an oval shape, I carefully cut around the leaves before die cutting so they'd stand out.

The background was created with the Wood Grain Backgrounder stamp which was inked with brown ink and then stamped onto a lighter brown cardstock.  Love how realistic my background looks.

 

Before assembling the card, I tied some coordinating ribbon on the left side, then popped the image on top with foam adhesives.

Teabag Friendship

It's a new challenge at Cornish Heritage Farms, and we'd love to see  your Friendship cards.

Since I wanted to use the new  Friend Expressions stamp set, I used that as my starting point.

The card was created from light green cardstock.  A separate card layer was embossed and then lightly inked with brown ink.  Using the teabag technique, I created a flower and then adhered with a brad before the panel was added to the card.

 

The sentiment was stamped in brown ink and embossed, then added to the card with foam adhesives for dimension.

I stamped the images in black ink, then aged them with vintage-y inks.  The post card was scrunched then inked for a very aged appearance.
