Blog Hopping with Arnold Grummer and Club Scraps

Welcome to my stop on the Falling for Handmade Paper blog hop! Today we have a dozen talented bloggers sharing projects featuring handmade paper using Arnold Grummer's Papermaking kits paired with Club Scrap's Falling Leaves collection. I created a mini purse that comes with a surprise inside!

Create the purse from red cardstock.   Instructions for the purse can be found hereCut a selection of leaf papers to fit the panels, both inside and out.  Once you create and assemble the pockets, the purse comes alive.

Make paper using one of the Arnold Grummer Papermaking Kits.  Using portions of some of the papers from the Club Scraps Falling Leaves Page Kit, I created my pulp, mixing in some Brilliants for Paper, then used the Garden Press and blotters to dry the papers I created.

Once the papers dried, I stamped assorted leaves and sentiments using Club Scraps Falling Leaves Stamps.

I fussy cut some of the leaves, and die cut several phrases.  Handmade papers stamps and die cuts as easily as regular paper.

I created 4 cards using assorted papers, ribbons and stamps.

And the surprise is that the four cards (as well as the envelopes) fit inside the pockets of the purse.

Add a Velcro dot to the closure tab to close the purse.  Wouldn't this make a fun gift?

WENDY BELLINO is your next stop. As you explore the hop today, we encourage you to leave each blogger a few kind words in the form of a comment. Those who leave a comment on every participating blog will be entered into a random drawing for a prize. Good luck.

A full list of participants can be found on both the Arnold Grummer blog and Club Scraps blog.

Thanks for stopping by.

Quick and Easy Christmas Projects - Day 1

Hi everyone.  The Christmas count down has begun.  Can you feel the excitement in the air!  Everyone is busy shopping and preparing for the big day.

If you need to create something quick for the holidays, stop by my blog over the next 10 days and  I will show you some fun, quick and easy projects.

Today, I'm going to show you some purses.  They may be small, but they can hold so many items.  Just perfect for make up, gift cards and or even jewelry.

You can get 4 purses from 1 sheet of 12" x 12" cardstock.  Cut cardstock into 4 pieces, each 6" x 6".   Double sided cardstock works best because it's sturdier and the print is then seen inside and out.

Score at 1" and 5" for the sides.
Rotate and score at 2 1/2" and 3 1/2" to create the bottom.
Fold the sides along the score lines, then fold up the bottom.
Add Scor-tape along the top edges and add a 1" strip of black cardstock across the top of the purses.

Cut cardstock handles 3/4" x 10" and adhere them with brads.

There you go.  Perfect for a gift card or whatever you want to put inside.   Quick and easy and so much fun to make in less than 30 minutes.

Don't forget to stop by daily as I will have new projects to share.

Merry Christmas.
