Happy Thanksgiving

Hope your day is full of good friends, food and fun.

I have had this Quickutz lamp post in my stash for a long time.  Putting it together with this wreath created an amazing card

I used an assortment of Zig pens to color the wreath.

I cut out the wreath and then inked the edges with Clearsnap Ink.

The lamp post was cut from black and yellow cardstock.  A layer of Glossy Accents was added to the yellow.  The wreath was added to the card with foam adhesives for dimension.  The sentiment is a Hero Arts stamp.

Thanks for stopping by today.

Must be Love

I've been playing with some fun products from Globecraft Memories.

Here's a quick and easy way to incorporate Globecraft Memories Piccolo charms in a card.   I used Piccolo Enamel Powder Adhesive with Brownstone and Enchanted Aubergine Powders on the charm. I also added several light coats of Glastique which gave the charm a nice glossy effect.

After completing my card, I just tied the charm onto the bow.

Just remember, they may be small, but these charms can pack a big punch on your creations.  Why not try one today.

Mother's Day

The newest challenge at Kuretakezig is called Spring Blooms and I found the perfect stamps to use.

Since Mother's Day is next Sunday, I created a Mother's Day Card using Hero Arts and Inkadinkadoo stamps as well as Zig Scroll & Brush Markers and Zig Textile Markers.

Using the brush tips of each marker, I first colored the rose with Zig's Scroll & Brush Markers in Pure Red. To add a little more texture, I added a touch of Zig's Scroll & Brush in Summer Sun  to the edges of the rose.  A Green Textile Marker was used on the stems and a Scroll & Brush in Spring Green was added on top.  I inked the sentiment with Summer Sun, then die cut it with Spellbinders dies.

To achieve the water color effect, I lightly spritzed the stamps before placing them on cardstock.  This definitely softened the colors.  After die cutting my image, I used the scroll tip of Summer Sun to edge my die cuts, providing just a hint of color before mounting to the base.  I also used the scroll tip to edge the pattern paper before adhering it to the base.

Cardstock: Bazzill
Pattern paper: American Crafs, K&Co.

Be My Valentine

What do you get when you combine Mix'd Media Inx, Pearl Embossing Powder and Smooch Glitz? A LOVE-ly stamped image with a hint of shimmer.

I inked the stamp with Mix'd Media Jasmine Inx then embossed it with Pearl Embossing Powder. I love the soft, pretty look I was able to achieve.

The smaller sentiment was added with foam adhesives for dimension. Pink Fizz Smooch Glitz was "painted" around the smaller sentiment and then on top of the brads.

Hope you have an awesome Valentine's Day!!!
