Congratulations

Hi everyone.  What do you do with those left over elements?

I die cut some stars recently for a project and had this negative panel left over so I decided to use it.  I matted the yellow panel with brown cardstock and added it to the card.  The sentiment was stamped in black on a scrap of yellow cardstock and added to the card with foam adhesives for dimension.

So, remember, don't throw out those negatives, you might find another use for them!

Thanks for stopping by today.

Today was a Good Day

Hi everyone.  It's Wednesday and I've been thinking of you.

My mother loved roses and would spend hours getting her roses "just right".  She would have loved this stamp!  I found this striped card in my stash, so I added some polka dot paper across the card backed with brown cardstock.  Pink and brown is such a wonderful combination.

I  added the sentiment and die cuts which would hold my rose.  The rose was stamped, colored with Tombow Markers and fussy cut before adding to the die cuts with foam adhesives for dimension.

Thanks for stopping by today.

I created a card from dark gray cardstock, then assembled my stamps on a sheet of light gray cardstock, stamping them with black ink.  The snowflakes were stamped and fussy cut and added to the card with a brad in the center.

The Butterfly Essence Stamp set is gorgeous.  I inked the butterfly stamp with several colors of chalk ink, then stamped it onto white cardstock.  Cutting around the image, I matted it with black, brown and pink cardstock before adding it to a panel of red.  The sentiment was stamped in black ink on white cardstock and matted with black.

Art

Hi everyone.  It's Wednesday and that means its time for a new challenge at Mark's Finest Papers & Stamps.   This week's Simple Salutations Challenge 112 is favorite school subject.

I love art so I chose the Art Works stamp set with some fun pattern paper from Karen Foster Designs.

I repeatedly stamped "Art" across the yellow strip and adhered it in place.

The Art quote was stamped in black, torn and then matted with torn yellow cardstock before adhering across the strip.

Thanks for stopping by today.

I Love you Bear

Hi everyone.  It's Wednesday and that means its time for a new challenge at Mark's Finest Papers &  Stamps.   This week's Simple Salutations Challenge #111 is about bears.

I die cut the little guy using my Cricut.
The sentiment is from the Roses 2014 stamp set - so many stamps to work with.

Because  I was using a premade card, I needed little embellishing.

Thanks for stopping by today.

May you enjoy a long and wonderful Life

Hi everyone.  It's Wednesday and that means its time for a new challenge at Mark's Finest Papers and Stamps.

This week's Simple Salutations Challenge #105 is to create a card for someone who is moving into a new home.  Not having "home" stamps, I used Oriental Joy and Birds of the Orient along with some map paper.

The map paper gives the illusion of movement as in moving into a new home or moveing across the country.  The butterfly/floral circle represents change.

Sea Ya Soon Turtle

Hi everyone.  It's Wednesday and that means its time for a new challenge at Mark's Finest Papers and Stamps.

This week's Simple Salutations Challenge #104 is to create a project with the colors of your country.  Well, England and the USA are both red, white and blue so I've created a summery card using the Shello stamp set.

I used the Graphic 45 By the Sea collection stamping "Sea Ya Soon" on a postcard and fussy cutting a turtle to hold the postcard in place.

My Friend

Hi everyone.  It's Wednesday and that means its time for a new challenge at Mark's Finest Papers and Stamps.

This week's Simple Salutations Challenge #103 is to create a summery card.  Now, for me, summer means bright colors and pretty flowers so this lovely iris was just perfect for this theme.

The stamp set I used is the Bearded Iris stamp set.  I used Clearsnap's Stephanie Barnard Ink in Celery and Artichoke on the stem and then Guava and Strawberry on the iris.  Assorted die cuts and an embossed background finished off the card.

The sentiment was stamped in Guava, embossed with Clear Embossing Powder and then added to the card with foam adhesives for dimension.

Beautiful Coral

Hi everyone.  It's Wednesday and that means its time for a new challenge at Mark's Finest Papers and Stamps.

This week's Simple Salutations Challenge #100 is to create a beachy card.

I found this lovely glitter paper from The Robin's Nest and it reminded me of coral so I used it as the focal point of my card.  And since I thought it was beautiful, the sentiment from the Oriental Joy Stamp Set was perfect.

Some blue ink around the edges and stamping the sentiment in the same just added to the beauty of this card.

This week's Simple Salutations Challenge # 99 is to use only cardstock when creating your card.

I used the Gears stamps on cream cardstock, inking with black and embossing with clear embossing powder.

I heavily inked the stamp and the cardstock with Tim Holtz Vintage Photo inks.
