Christmas Tags

These tags are just a breeze to make with the right tools. Check out JustImagine's blog and MyStampBOX blog for some more inspiration.

Using just a plain shipping tag, I punched the edges with my Kreaxion punches, added die cut circles, then a stamped the snowman from MyStampBOX's Merry Mr. Snowman stamp set.

After punching the edges, I lightly inked the edges with Ranger Walnut Ink. Then I mounted the circles which had also been lightly inked. The snowman was the last addition and I added brads for his eyes and buttons.

Tag #1 uses: 916 with "B" insert
Tag #2 uses: 907 with "B" insert
Tag #2 uses: 918 with "C" insert (then cut off the edges)

Baby Jesus

The challenge this week at Sugar Creek Hollow is to create a red and white card. I chose to use the Baby Jesus and scroll images for my card, keeping it simple with torn edges and a small pointsettia.

Now head off to the rest of the team's blogs and see what they've done this week.

Joyeux Noel

The closer we get to Christmas, the more I realize that I need more cards. I used my favorite products on these cards, MyStampBOX stamps and Kreaxions punches along with some rub-ons I've had in my stash for quite awhile. It was time to break them out and use them. Unfortunately, the smaller images came off the backing in pieces, so I decided to use what I could to create my own patterned paper.

Kreaxions punch #907 without the inserts was used across the image. I used Spellbinders Oval Nesties to die cut around the ornament. Joyeux Noel is from Merry Mr. Snowman stamp set.

Kreaxions punch #918 with insert "B" was used as the base layer on this card. Then I used insert "C" to create the secondary layers. I used Spellbinders Oval Nesties to die cut around the ornament.

Supplies:
Cardstock: Bazzill
Pattern paper: K&Co.
Rub-ons: Provo Craft, Tulip
Stamps: MyStampBOX
Punches: Kreaxions
Ink: Ranger, Walnut ink; Memento Black
Die cuts: Spellbinders, Nestabilities

Snow

Well, that's how it's been feeling around here lately. Cold with a chance of snow!! This card is quite appropriate for this weather. I first embossed the front of my card with the Snowflakes Embossing Folder, then I used Let It Snow Stamp set from MyStampBox stamps, stamping snowflakes on top of the embossed ones. I also added snowflakes to the image once it was die cut into the oval shape. I used the lovely Winter Lace cartridge with my Cricut Expression to create the large snowflake. I used the word "Snow" from the Let it Snow phrase, corner rounding the edges and mounting it on blue cardstock. This was then popped on the card front.

Supplies:
Cardstock: American Crafts
Stamps: MyStampBOX
Ink: Memento
Embossing Folder: Cuttlebug
Rub-ons: Tulip Designs
Die cuts: Cricut Expression, Winter Lace cartridge

MyStampBOX - Day 5

It's Day 5 at MyStampBOX and

... I made Christmas Candy Bags.

Well, we know Christmas is not too far away now, so I thought I'd create some candy bags. These are quick and easy to make when using myStampBOX stamps. I used "Color Me Sentiments" merry x-mas and stamped it in brown ink on green cardstock. Then I used the gift package from "Merry Mr. Snowman". Since I made a number of these, I colored each one with my Copic markers.

This is the sample bag topper:

These are the completed bags.

Why not make a bunch and put them on the table or place them in someone's Christmas stocking. I was able to get 3 Russel Stover Caramels in mine, but they'd easily fill with M&Ms or Kisses or Reeses are anything else you love.

Stop by MyStampBOX and see the awesome work by the team and while there, check out the awesome stamp sets available.

Soccer

Are you looking for a way to create a quick and easy soccer layout? Well, look no further than Scappin Sports Stuff for some amazing papers and embellishments. I loved the look of the Adorn-it Soccer paper, but didn’t want to cover it up. My solution was to cut it apart and use the pieces to create my own background paper. This is a perfect idea when you have lots of photos to use, or perhaps only one piece of that wonderful paper.

I chose to use black cardstock as the base of my layout because I knew it would help allow all the elements to stand out. Laying my photos on the cardstock, I then began working with the pattern paper pieces to fill in the “blank” areas, moving around the photos until I loved the design. Once I had the look I wanted, I adhered the photos and then lightly inked the edges of each pattern paper piece I had cut apart. After adhering each piece, I then added some transparent elements on the layout.

Bazzill Cardstock
Adorn It Soccer Block paper

Season's Greetings

Today's challenge at Sugarcreek Hollow is another sketch challenge. I chose to use one of the new Christmas images. Set up like a postage stamp, this image has so many possibilities. Wanting to keep the focus on the image, I chose to add just a little color - yellow to simulate the light, plus a little Spica pen for the pine bows. I also lightly inked the ribbon, giving it a more aged appearance.

Let It Snow

The challenge over at the shabby tea room is to create a shaped card. The sponsor this week is Justrite Stampers. I chose to create a snowflake card that I created with my new Cricut Winter Lace cartridge, then welded it together to create a card with my Gypsy. Of course, I used the snowman from the JRS Holiday Cheer Stamp Set to finish off my card.

I added pop dots between the layers for some dimension.

Cricut Expression
Cricut Winter Lace cartridge

NEST - SIWL

New DT work is up on the SIWL blog and they are all so lovely. I had so much fun creating my project this month. I honestly had no idea what I was going to do with my NEST letters, so I just began to play. As I worked my letters, they evolved into this:

I first began by tracing the letters onto my papers and then cutting them out. I sanded the edges once dry, then inked. I used Cricut cuts for most of the elements, tons of rub-ons, and some flowers.

Wood Letters: Sayitwithletters
Pattern paper: MME

I created this card using punch #907 and insert B.

Christmas cards

It's kinda early here, but I've been in a creating mood this evening. I found some new Christmas papers by K&Co. so I just had to create some new Christmas cards.
So unlike me, NOT a Cricut cut on any of these cards, but I did use my Nestabilities.

Joy to the World

It's another challenge day at Sugarcreek Hollow. Today's challenge was to create faux wood paper. There are so many ways to do this, but I chose the "easy" way. I love my Tim Holtz products and found a wood grain embossing folder he just came out with. So I embossed my paper then lightly inked the raised portion - love it. Then I added a new Christmas image from Sugarcreek.

Blessed Season

Good morning it's Stamp It Up Wednesday at Blackleaf Studios. I hope you've been enjoying all the images and papers this month. They are so fun and versatile. For my card, I used the Tinseltown background papers which are lovely in shades of blues and browns, perfect for any creation from winter to Christmas themes. The Christmas bell image is part of this digi set:

I printed the bell large so it would be the focal point of my card. Then I colored the image with Prisma pencils. Using my Circle Nestabilities, I die cut the image, then added some Crystal Stickles for some shimmer and shine.

So pop on over to the store now and get your Christmas images. They are sure to please.

Holiday Season

Good morning and welcome to Sensational Saturday's with Sugar Creek Hollow. Today the team is using an assortment of Christmas images/sentiments on their projects. I find that sentiments are sometimes the hardest part of creating a card. Luckily Sugar Creek Hollow has some amazing sentiments that can be used for many occasions and my choice today is perfect for the upcoming holidays. After printing out my sentiment, I lightly sponged ink around the edges, then mounted it on cardstock. I added some Spica pen for the main letter, but it is hard to see.

Give Thanks

Sorry for today's lousy photos. My computer crashed so I had to upload "old school" and the process really does NOT create a wonderful looking image at all! I need a new computer!!!!!!

The challenge this week at Justrite Stampers is to use the following colors on a project:

This is what I came up with:

I used Nestabilities to create the card base, then layered the navy cardstock on top. I embossed the navy cardstock with my Autumn Cuttlebug folder. The pilgrim fella was cut with my Cricut, Thanksgiving cartridge, and then paper pieced. The sentiment is from the Autumn Blessings Borders and Centers .

Cardstock: Bazzill
Embossing folder: Cuttlebug
Die cuts: Spellbinders, Nestabilities; Cricut, Thanksgiving cartridge
Stamps: Justrite
Ink: Memento

Christmas

Good morning and welcome to Sensational Saturday's with Sugar Creek Hollow. Today, we have a great color challenge for you.

The colors we want you to use this week are as follows: light Blue, Kraft, Chocolate, and light pink

These are some of my favorite colors. I used one of the new Christmas sentiments, adding just a little Spica pen to some of the flourishes to make it sparkle. Unfortunately, the sparkle is a little hard to see. But isn't the image wonderful!!

Journal

This time of year, I always find it handy to have a journal ready for making notes of things I have to do or things I need to do. I found this book in the local store and thought it needed a little dressing up. Using MyStampBOX stamps Colour Me Stamps, I stamped "journal" and colored them with Copic markers. I also stamped several words from the Bold Blocks set on the acrylic note cards. The punch around the edge is Martha Stewart.

Love Mini Album

I created this mini book that I think would be a wonderful shower/wedding gift. Created with Quick Quotes fabulous Irresistible line, it's beautiful in shades of black and white and fabulously different papers. I've added a touch of red throughout as well as stamped sentiments and pearls. Who cannot create without pearls! The book measures approximately 6" x 6" and each page has been cut slightly smaller to allow some of the white edges show.

Spellbinders Nestabilites were used for the squares on the front. I used my Cricut to cut the heart and phrase.

Cricut was again used for the heart and a small stamped sentiment was added to the center. A few jeweled brads were also added.

Another stamped sentiment was added along with a pretty punched edge.

Another sentiment plus some pretty pearls finished off this book.

Just add photos of the happy couple and it's done. Or, give it as a gift for the happy couple to add photos of their special day.

Supplies:
Cardstock: Bazzill
Pattern paper: Quick Quotes

Joyous Christmas

It's create magic Monday at Blackleaf and I used their digi papers and the reindeer for my card. I sized the paper to print at 4" x 6" so as not to waste any paper or ink, then matted it on brown cardstock. The reindeer was colored with Prisma colored pencils to give it a rugged look.

Don't forget to check out Blackleaf for lots of wonderful Christmas images.

With Sympathy

The new weekly challenge # 43 at Justrite Stampers is to create a support card, whether it be sympathy or friendship. Justrite Stampers has so many stamps appropriate for any occasion and I chose to use Thinking of You Borders and Centers to create a Sympathy card. I used a green Spica pen to outline the flourishes on the sentiment then added a little yellow around them.

Now I don't generally add an interior sentiment. But for this card, I wanted to complete the inside and I felt that adding Celebrations Demi Phrases was appropriate. I love how this card turned out.

Caution!!!!

My first design team project for SIWL was a word bubble which was really fun to work with.

This is epitomizes my 15 year old son at this stage of his life.

I first inked the edges of the word bubble in Ranger Black Soot
Next, I cut the Striped paper to fit the word bubble, sanding the edging where necessary
I then tore another Grunge sheet to layer across the lower half
Then I added a 1" strip across the middle
I matted Bingo cards with black cardstock and add to the left side
I matted the fabric letters on black cardstock and adhere
Of course, I had to add several Skulls and arrows

Supplies:
Word Bubble: SIWL
Cardstock: American Crafts
Pattern papers: Dream Street, Grunge collection
Ink: Ranger Black Soot
Grungeboard elements: Ranger, Tim Holtz
Bingo Cards: Tattered Angels
