Pretty Little Jars

Hi everyone, who doesn't love pretty little jars?  I love collecting them from thrift stores and even my local dollar store.  They are fun to etch with etchallⓇ dip 'n etch, then decorate and give as gifts.  Or even place them on a shelf to enjoy!

These sweet little jars have great designs as well as dimension.

Using etchallⓇ dip 'n etch liquid helps the designs stand out on the jars.

Start by placing the jars in the dip 'n etch.

I placed them just up to the top of the design as I wanted some non etched glass.

Then I let them sit for approximately 15 minutes.

Remove the jars and rinse off.

Since dip 'n etch is reusable, pour the dip 'n etch back in its original container.

Adhere several different ribbons around the jars.

I found the black ribbon helped the pink and white ribbon stand out.

Quick and Easy Christmas Projects - Day 1

Hi everyone.  Christmas will be here before we know it.  The last ten years I've blogged about last minute Christmas ideas you could make in under 60 minutes.  Well, it's that time again and I've got some new projects to share.

Take a dimensional glass jar.

Use etchallⓇ dip 'n etch liquid to give the jar a frosted appearance.

Place the jar in the liquid for approximately 15 minutes.

Remove, rinse and dry off.

Return the liquid to its original container and save for additional projects.

If you look in the upper left, you can see the unetched glass when compared to the etched glass.

Doesn't it look amazing!

To decorate, take some foliage elements, create a bow using the Bowdabra.

Tie the bow to the elements.  Using a craft tool, take the excess bow wire and create spirals.

Using hot glue, glue a white band of ribbon along the top edge that was not etched.

Finally, use hot glue to adhere the foliage elements to the jar.

In all, completed in about 45 minutes.

etchall milk jars

 Hi everyone, with Thanksgiving on the horizon, let's have some fun with etchallⓇ dip 'n etch.

Place the milk jars in the dip 'n etch liquid.

Allow to sit for approximately 15 minutes.

Remove the jars and rinse off.

Pour the dip 'n etch back into the original container.

The dip 'n etch really allows the design on the jars to show through.

Decorate with ribbons and a Bowdabara created bow.

Trick or Treat with etchall

 Hi everyone, it's time to have some Halloween fun with etchallⓇ dip 'n etch.

It's almost time for the little ones to come knocking.  Create something fun for the kiddos to see on your doorstep this season.

Die cut the letters and adhere to the jars, then place each in etchallⓇ dip 'n etch.  Letting them sit for at least 15 minutes, remove, rinse and dry off.  Since dip 'n etch is reusable, pour it back into the original container so it can be used for other projects.

Fill each jar with green tulle and stack them together.

Add a sign in the top jar and turn it around when each group of kiddos shows up at your door!

Dip 'n Etch Vinegar Jars

Hi everyone, picking up different shaped bottles to etch can be so much fun.

I found these vinegar shaped bottles at my local Dollar Tree and thought they'd make a great gift once they were etched and decorated.

Fill the jar with water and place it in a plastic container.

Pour in the etchall dip 'n etch.

Let the jar sit for 15 minutes, then remove, rinse and dry off.

Since dip 'n etch is reusable, pour it back into the original container.

It's perfectly usable for new projects.

Decorate as desired.

I wanted them to be simple, so I added some pretty lace to make the bottles more attractive.

Etchall Rainbow Jar

 Hi everyone, I've got another EtchallⓇ project to share.

Supplies:  EtchallⓇ Etching Creme

EtchallⓇ Stencil Spray

Stencil

Plaid Paint

Darice Ribbon

Using the stencil spray, lightly spray the back side of the stencil.

Allow it to dry tacky.

Place the stencil around the jar.
Add painter's tape along the edges of the stencil to catch any etching creme from running onto the glass where it's not wanted.

Allow the etchallⓇ to sit for approximately 15 minutes.

Remove the etching creme and replace it into its original container.

Since etchall is reusable, it can be used on a number of projects.

Rinse off the glass and dry it.

You can also use soap if desired to clean the jar.

I decided I wanted to add color to the letters, so I reapplied the stencil to the jar (it was still tacky).

In keeping with a rainbow color theme, I painted the letters in assorted colors.

Tie some coordinating colored ribbons to the jar.

Finish with a Bowdabra created  bow to finish.

Etchall Mother's Day Vase

Mother's Day is coming and I've used etchallⓇ to etch a vase that would make a wonderful gift for that special woman in your life.

Supplies:  EtchallⓇ dip 'n etch liquid

Vase

Darice Ribbon

Flowers

Place the vase in a container of dip 'n etch.

Allow to set for 15 minutes.

Remove the vase, rinse off and dry.

Since dip 'n etch is reusable, pour it back into it's original container.

I only etched the bottom portion of the vase, leaving the neck plain.

I filled it with some marbles.

Selecting a sweet butterfly ribbon, I created a bow and added some flower buds.

I then tied the bow to the vase and filled the vase with the same flowers.

Etchall Easter Jars

Happy Easter.  As Easter is early this year, I've created some treat jars for friends using Etchall dip 'n etch.

Supplies:  EtchallⓇ dip 'n etch

Cadbury Candy Eggs

Place the jars in a container.

Since I wanted to etch the inside as well as the outside of each jar, I poured the dip 'n etch inside the jars, then poured enough dip 'n etch so the jars were covered to their necks. 

Allow the jars to sit in the dip 'n etch for approximately 15 minutes.

Remove the jars, rinse off and dry.

Since I wanted to use these as Easter treats, I stamped Easter Eggs around the jars.

I heat set each jar to seal the ink.

Once each jar was stamped, I filled with Easter grass and Cadbury Candy Eggs (one of my favorite Easter candies!).

To finish I wrapped twine around each jar and tied a metal tag to each.

Etchall Hanging Sign

 Hi everyone, time to get creative for the month of Love!

Using etchallⓇ etching creme, I created this love sign.

Take apart the frames and remove the glass.

Die cut the letters and place each on the glass panels.

Cover each panel of glass with etching creme.

Allow to sit for 15 minutes.

After 15 minutes, remove the etching creme.

Since it is reusable, place it back in the original container.

Rinse each panel and dry off.

Place the glass panels back in their frames.

Add pink cardstock behind each letter.

Decorate the frames with stones.

Adhere each frame along a strip of ribbon.

Create a bow using the Bowdabra and tie to the ribbon creating a loop at the top.

Happy Valentine's Day with Etchall

 Hi everyone.  With Valentine's Day approaching, it's time for some fun with etchallⓇ.

Supplies:  etchallⓇ dip 'n etch

Glass bottle

Ribbons

Place the bottle in the dip 'n etch liquid up to the top of the decorative edge.

Allow the bottle to sit for 15 minutes.

Remove the bottle, rinse and dry off.

Pour the liquid back into its original container so it can be reused for other projects.

Using a glue gun, adhere the red and gold ribbon along the top and bottom edges of the glass.

Finish by adding the pom pom ribbon next.

Add rhinestones to the jar.

Fill with fresh or artificial flowers.
