Party Fun with Rinea Foiled Papers

Hi everyone, I'm on the Rinea blog today with some fun party ideas using Rinea Foiled Papers.

Besides a party banner, nothing screams party like the end of party give-aways.  Who doesn't like to take something sweet home after a party?

I decided to decorate paper bowls with the attendees' names.  I die cut the letters from Rinea Foiled Papers using Ruby/Gold Glossy, Saphire/Gold Glossy and Violet/Violet Star Struck Foiled Papers with Sizzix dies.  They die cut beautifully.

Since the letters were delicate, I used my Xyron Sticker Maker to turn the letters into stickers so I could adhere them easily to the paper bowls.

Next, I created the banner from cardstock and 2 layers of Rinea Foiled Papers in Ruby/Gold Glossy and Gold/Gold Glossy Foiled Papers using Sizzix dies.

I embossed the gold layer then die cut PARTY from Saphire/Gold Glossy Foiled Paper.  Brads and twine from Whisker Graphics held the banner together.

It's a pirate party!!

Ahoy Mateys, today I'm on the Makin's Clay blog with a pirate partyensemble.

Supplies:

Makin's® Clay - Earth Tones, Black
Makin's Professional® Cutting Mat
ColorBox Art Screen - Rounded
Earth Safe Finishes Gesso
Sizzix Framelits Banner Dies
Molding Paste
Silicone Mold

 

I found this fun pirate silicone mold in a local store.  It's really an ice cube mold, but I knew it would work well for a Makin's clay project.  Using the mold, I created an assortment of embellishments from the blended clay.  To make the embellishments more realistic, I also used black clay on portions of the embellishments. 

 

 

Now that I finished my embellishments, I pulled out a small wood box and painted it.  Then I used the ColorBox Rounded Art Screen to create some dimension.  I used Earth Safe Finishes Gesso to adhere the gauze in the corner.

While waiting for everything to dry,  I created place cards from cardstock.  On the top layer I placed stickers spelling out the children's names.  Then I added additional pirate embellishments to coordinate with the banner.

 

Once the box was dry, I adhered several clay embellishments amongst the gauze as well as another on the front of the box.

 

 

 

The pirate embellishments are adorable and perfect for a pirate party.  Makin's clay is light weight and the embellishments added little weight to the banner and place cards.

OlyFUN Party Favors

Hi everyone.  Are you preparing for a party?  Have you thought about using Olyfun in your creations?  Olyfun is a fabric that won't fray, has no grain, is water repellent and comes in 18 colors.  4 metallic colors were displayed at CHA and the colors are gorgeous - Silver, Red, Gold and Rose Gold. 

I needed some invitations and gift bags for an upcoming birthday so I turned to the metallic Olyfun.  Trying to get into a summer mode, I created anchors and sailboats.   Olyfun die cuts well so these anchors and sailboats turned out amazing.

 

For the invitation, I used an assortment of Spellbinders dies, die cutting the anchor from Silver Metallic Olyfun.  Placing it on a slight angle, I adhered it to the card with Fabri-Tac.  I fit Hooray! and happy birthday around the anchor. 

 

 

I die cut more anchors from Silver Metallic and several sailboats from Rose Gold Metallic.  I also adhered them to the gift bags with Fabri-Tac, then inked around them with Clearsnap Chalk Ink. 

 

 

A few dew drops from the Robin's Nest were placed along the edges of the sailboats.

 

 

Now place candies and goodies in the bags you are ready for the party!

Baby Shower Party Favors

Hi everyone, I've created some new party favors today using etchall dip 'n etch and Ribbons Unlimited Inc. ribbons.

These glass jars were perfect for baby shower party favors.  I placed the jars in etchall dip 'n etch for 15 minutes, then rinsed them off.  I love the frosted appearance you get from dip 'n etch!

I tied some Sky Blue Ombre Ribbon around the jars and tied the labels to the ribbon with twine.   Around the lid, I used Helmar's Fabric Glue to adhere Cream Nylvalour Velvet Ribbon.

 

I tied a stamped sentiment to the ribbon with some twine.  These party favors were so much fun to create and would be perfect for a baby shower don't you thnk?
