Thank you Purses

Hi everyone, it's my turn on the Skipping Stones blog and I've used the Birthday Purses.

I kept the card simple so the purses would stand out.  How cute are these purses?  I fussy cut them, then colored them with Copic Markers.

I added the phrases under the purses with just a touch of ink.

Bird Friends

Hi everyone, it's my turn on the Skipping Stones blog and I've used the Heartsong Stamp Set.

I cut apart several elements from the set, matting each with cardstock.  I colored the bird with Copic Markers and also fussy cut it.

The stamped elements were grouped together on the card on a scalloped die cut.

My Happy Place

Hi everyone and welcome.  Skipping Stone is participating in the Coffee Lovers Blog Hop and I've used Coffee Volume 2.

This fun set includes both a cut decorative mug which I colored with Copic Markers.  Once I fussy cut the mug, I used foam adhesives to place it on die cut squares.

The phrase was tucked under the mug.

Love You a Latte

Hi everyone, I'm on the Skipping Stones blog using Coffee Volume #2 stamp set.

I lightly colored the coffee cup with Copic Markers then fussy cut it.  I used a premade card, then added brown cardstock to fit.  Placing a doily on the card, I cut off the left side.  Next, I placed the coffee cup atop a die cut circle with foam adhesives which I placed on the doily.

I added a phrase to the corner on a slight angle.

Friends and Flowers

Hi everyone, it's my turn on the Skipping Stones blog and I've used the I'd Pick You stamp set.

I began by embossing lavender cardstock and matting it with purple cardstock.  Next, I colored the image with Copic Markers, then fussy it, adding it to the card.  For dimension I added gems to the flower centers.

I stamped the sentiment, matted it with cardstock and added it to the card.

Happy Birthday Butterfly

Hi everyone, it's my turn on the Skipping Stones blog and I've used the Heartsong Stamp set.

Using a left over die cut, I embossed it and lightly inked it.  Adding pattern paper behind the opening, I matted the panel on cardstock.   

I colored the butterfly with Copic Markers then fussy cut it, adding it to the card.  I inserted the phrase behind the butterfly.

Hello with Skipping Stones Stamps

Hi everyone, it's my turn on the Skipping Stones blog and I've used the Best of Birds stamp set.

I fussy cut around the bird on the branch creating a corner element for my card with Hello just below.  Next, I matted this corner element with black cardstock.  I added a little color to the bird.

The background was embossed with a music folder and lightly inked it to coordinate with the bird.  After matting the panel with cardstock, I wrapped it with Whisker Graphics twine, then added it to the card with foam adhesives.

Happy Birthday to You

Hi everyone, I am so excited to share that I am now a part of the Skipping Stones Design Team.  Today the design team is participating in a blog hop.

I've used the Green Birthday stamp set to create a birthday card.  Who doesn't love cake or cupcakes for their birthday?

All the elements were matted on black cardstock and then adhered to a paper doily.  Happy Birthday was inserted amongst the cakes.

Scor-Pal and Skipping Stone Stamps

We are blog hopping today with Scor-Pal and Skipping Stone Stamps. You should have arrived here from Jennifer Ingle's blog. If you didn't just start at the Scor-Pal Blog and see what everyone has created today.

I am thrilled to have been playing with the Sassy Shoes stamp set and I had fun creating these cards.

"Born to shop, forced to work was stamped" on a pink cardstock panel in pink ink and then embossed, creating a very subtle background for my image.



The image was stamped in Denim Mix'd Media Inx and embossed with Pearl Embossing Powder. I then "painted" the image with several colors of Smooch Ink before cutting it out and adding to the pink panel with foam adhesives.

Using my Scor-Pal, I created a box around the pink panel.



The rhinestone swirl was added for a touch of bling and several of the rhinestones were colored with Smooch Ink.



For my next card, I cut my cardstock 5 1/2" x 11", then simply scored a straight line at the 5 1/2" point to create the perfect crease for my square card.

The shoes were stamped on cream cardstock, then the bows were colored with pink markers. The sentiment was stamped and then die cut with Spellbinders dies and adhered over the twill.



These stamps were perfect to use for the interior sentiment too.

Die cutting the Black Licorice Glossy cardstock was easy and it's such a beautiful, slick color that it can stand on it's own with no other embellishments. I added it to the card base with foam adhesives for dimension, then I added the shoes on top and a small sentiment in the corner because I wanted the focus on the paper.
