If Friends were flowers.....

Today I have a card to show you using some wonderful Spellbinders dies, an embossing folder, and Copic Markers.

Below is how each section of the image was colored.

Image 1 - I started by coloring the dress and the leggins with yellows, using Y15, Y13, and Y11. I used a touch of Y15 in the flowers in her hair.

Image 2 - I added yellow greens for the flower stems, leaves and the vines in her hair using YG17 and YG13.

Image 3 - I added yellow and yellow red to the sunflower, using Y38, Y35, and YR31. I then added some E37 to the center of the flower. I added a touch of Y38 to the hair flowers.

Image 4 - I added shades of blue to the under dress, bow and shoes using B95, B93, and B91.

Image 5 - I added some red to the hearts on the blue ribbon using R11. Then I colored her face and hands with Eo2, E01, and E0000.

Image 6 - I added shades of brown on her hair using E37, E35, and E33. I then cut out the image and used C1 on the edges.

Using Spellbinders dies, I cut a rectangle and a scalloped rectangle from Kraft cardstock. I then embossed each piece with a Cuttlebug Mesh Embossing Folder and lightly inked the edges with brown ink. I mounted the 2 die cut pieces together and added the finished image with foam adhesives.

The sentiment was stamp the sentiment on Kraft Cardstock with brown ink and embossed with clear embossing powder, then die cut it with a small Spellbinders die and added to the card front.

Thanks for stopping by today.

Market St Stamps Scor Pal

This is today's post at Scor-pal . I inked glossy cardstock by running ColorBox's CakeWalk Inkpad across the cardstock. Once I allowed it to dry, I stamped the sentiment on top with Black Mix'd Media Inx. The flowers were then stamped in the corners. This panel was then cut and matted with black cardstock.

Using Twinkling Watermark Ink, I stamped the flowers on cream cardstock and embossed with Clear Embossing Powder. Once I had the sentiment placed on this piece, I scored around it with my Scor-Pal and added brads to the flower centers before assembling my card.

Supplies:
Scoring Tool: Scor-Pal
Stamp: Market Street Stamps, Comforting Florals
Ink: Clearsnap Cakewalk Dye Ink, Stephanie Barnard Chocoate Ink, Twinkling Watermark Ink
Embossing Powder: Clearsnap Top Boss Clear
Brads: Basic Grey

For my next card, I cut cardstock 5 1/2" x 11" and scored it in half creating a top fold card. I scored 5 lines across the bottom of the card onto which I added butterflies which had been stamped and cut out.

The sentiment was stamped in Denim Inx and embossed with Clear Embossing Powder, then die cut. It was added to the card with foam adhesives on top of blue and black die cut circles.

Supplies:
Scoring Tool: Scor-Pal
Stamp: Market Street Stamps, Believing Butterflies
Ink: Clearsnap Mix'd Media Inx - Denim
Embossing Powder: Clearsnap Top Boss Clear
Dies: Sizzix

Trees Backgrounder Stamp: After creating a top folding card, I used the Trees Backgrounder Stamp for the interior of the card. I die cut a circle on the front of the card which allowed the trees to show through.

I added some small punched butterfles to the trees so they appear to be in flight.

Using my Cricut Expression, I die cut the sentiment and added it to the bottom of the card.

Supplies:
Cardstock: Bazzill
Pattern paper: K&Co
Stamp: Cornish Heritage Farms
Ink: Clearsnap
Punch: Kreaxions
Die cuts: Spellbinders
Sentiment: Cricut Expression

For my next card I used Time to Stamp from the Rummage Bin which is an amazing stamp set with clocks and sentiments.
I created my own background paper by stamping the clocks on cream cardstock with ColorBox Cocoa Ink. I stamped an additional clock which I then die cut. Using ColorBox Red Barn Chalk Ink, I stamped "Time" on top of the clock and then stamped the sentiment on another piece of cardstock. After wrapping ribbon around the card, I attached the clock to it.

Love....

I found this gorgeous Recollections paper at Michaels, but it seemed a little plain. I colored the roses with Copic markers (V9, V6, V4 and RV99). Then I colored some of the leaves with BG99, BG96 and G94. I love the result!

I created a 5 1/2" square card from Bazzill Cream cardstock, then cut some Lavender cardstock slightly smaller. I cut the Recollections paper to 5" and amounted it on the card front.

Using Spellbinders Large Oval and Scalloped Oval, I die cut 2 pieces, then stamped a Justrite sentiment with ColorBox's Lavender Chalk Ink on top. This piece was added to the card front with foam adhesives.

The interior sentiment (MySentiments Exactly)was also stamped with ColorBox's Lavender Chalk Ink.

Supplies:
Cardstock: Bazzill
Stamp: Justrite Stampers
Ink: Colorbox Lavender Chalk Ink
Markers: Copic Markers

Just Because......

Challenge # 70 at Justrite is to create your own background paper with Justrite stamps. I used Botanical Butterflies to create my card, using the large butterfly to creating my background. To create the multi colored butterfly, I inked the butterfly with Clearsnap's Paint Box inks.

I stamped the sentiment with Clearsnap Black Mix'd Media Inx and embossed with Black Mix'd Media EP. The I "painted" the flowers with Siren Smooch Ink and the leaves with Green Apple Smooch Ink.

Tying a ribbon around the card, I attached the sentiment with pink Twine.

Let's Party

Good morning. Scrapbookpal recently added new members to their Design Team and I am thrilled to have been selected to be a part of this awesome group.

Be sure to check back often as the team has some amazing projects to show you.

I am so excited to post my first design team project for Scrapbookpal. A friend is having a party for her husband so I thought I'd create a centerpiece for the table. I have had this lovely Prima Vase for quite some time, never knowing what to do with it. Well, this project was perfect and with the all the supplies available at Scrapbookpal, it was easy finding just the right Cricut cartridges to create this centerpiece.

Start by lightly running a brown inkpad around the edges of the vase, giving it just a hint of color.

Using the Father's Day Cartridge, create the Poker Elements

Cut the Poker elements at fit-2-page (resulting in a 7 3/4" cut) twice from white cardstock and once from chipboard
Ink the edges with brown ink
Using the Poker layer, cut the Poker chips twice from green cardstock at 7 3/4"
Assemble by placing the chipboard piece between the two white cardstock layers leaving an opening at the bottom to insert the dowels

Using the Plantin Cartridge, create the deck of cards

Cut uppercase letters J, Q, and K and the number 10 at 2" from white cardstock
Using the shadow feature, cut them all again at 2" from red cardstock
Assemble the white onto it’s shadow

To create the deck of cards cut 4 pieces of black cardstock 2 1/2" x 4", corner rounding the edges
Add the letters and numbers to the cards

Using the Indie Art Cartridge create the Dice and Card Elements -

Cut the diamond, heart, spade and club at 2" from white cardstock
Using the blackout feature, cut them again at 2" from red cardstock
Adhere these to the back of the deck of cards created above

Cut the dice at 6” from black cardstock
Cut the dice + blackout at 6” from white cardstock

Cut the dice at 6 ¾” three times from white cardstock
Cut the dice + blackout at 6 ¾” from red cardstock and black cardstock
Adhere the layers together

Cut the dice at 3” from green, red and white cardstock
Cut the dice + blackout at 3” twice from white cardstock and once from black cardstock

Using shift + dice, cut Lucky at 3” from red cardstock and white cardstock
Using shift + dice + shadow, cut Lucky at 3” from red cardtock and white cardstock
Adhere the layers together

Cut the diamond, heart, spade and club at 3" from black cardstock and white cardstock
Ink the edges of the white pieces with brown ink
Using the blackout feature, cut them again at 3" from black cardstock and white cardstock
Assemble the white onto the black and the black onto the white so you have 2 sets
Place them on opposite sides of the vase

Using the Designer’s Calendar Cartridge, create the double dice

Using shift + events + 29, cut the double dice at 3" from black cardstock and white cardstock
Cut them again at 4" from black cardtock and white cardstock
Fold on the score lines and ink the edges with brown ink
Place them on opposite sides of the vase with foam adhesives

Using the Graphically Speaking Cartridge, create the hand

Cut the hand (image 38 + icon) at 4” from red cardstock twice
Cut the hand (image 38 + icon blackout) at 4” from white cardstock
Adhere the red layers on top of the white hand

To finish, arrange the elements in the vase, then adhere additional dice to cover the dowels. I added 2 large dice to the dowel holding the poker elements, then added additional dice to the back.

The deck of cards was placed in the hand and Lucky was placed so that it was sitting on top of the Poker elements.

Thanks for stopping by today. I hope you've enjoyed this project.

Happy Easter

Sending wonderful Easter wishes to all my friends. Hope you all have a wonderful day.

I stamped Prints on the yellow background paper in Brown Inkm then inked the edges of the cardstock with Brown Ink. 2 pieces of green cardstock were torn to simulate grass and placed across the card.

After punching 7 eggs, each egg was stamped in assorted colors. On several of the eggs, I left space and "painted" Smooch between the layers to simulate egg dying. For a little more dimension, each egg was edged with Brown Ink. They were then inserted behind the torn green cardstock.

"For My Friend" was stamped in Black Ink and them embossed in Black and added to the lower right corner with foam adhesives.

Clearsnap Supplies:
Inks: My First Colorbox - Yellow, Blue, Green, Brown, Black
Stamps: My First Colorbox - Prints and Dots
Smooch: Pool, Snickerdoodle, Gold Lame
Top Boss Black Embossing Powder
Smooch Fizz - Blue

Other supplies:
Bazzill cardstock
Magill Punch
Foam Adhesives

Hockey 2012

This is today's post at Scrappinstuff . Check out the store for tons of sports products.

Supplies:
Cardstock: Bazzill White, Black
Pattern paper: Paper House Productions
Stickers: Jolees
Chipboard letters: Bella Blvd.

Directions:

This is the perfect background paper to use for a lot of photos and since my son played goalie in this particular game, the papers helped showcase his accomplishments.

Cut photos to various sizes and mat with black cardstock.

Line 3 smaller photos across the bottom of the left side, then add 3 larger photos above them.

Adhere the ice skates above the goalie, angling them so they appear to be hanging down.

On the right side of the layout, adhere 2 photos, placing a smaller photo on top of the hockey sticks.

Adhere “2012” in the lower right corner.
