I am so excited to be part of the Sizzix Fresh Vintage blog hop today. Every Tuesday and Thursday for the next 6 weeks, one of the 12 dies in the Fresh Vintage collection will be featured. 6-10 projects for every die will be posted by 75 of the most creative designers in our industry. On the Clearsnap blog today, I posted a Butterfly Frame I created. Now I'm showcasing the Butterfly Die on this pretty card.

The Butterfly and the Scalloped Circle were cut with matboard. I added a piece of vellum between the butterfly layers which was inked with Clearsnap's Soft Pastels Petal Point inks and a touch of glitter.



The top most butterfly layer was inked with Clearsnap's Mix'd Media Inx in Jasmine, Periodot, Honey as well as Frost White. I then embossed it with Clearsnap's Opalescent Clear Embossing Powder. Once I placed the pearls, I painted them with Pool Smooch Ink for a little more color.



The scalloped circle was stamped with a Hero Arts stamp and Clearsnap's Decades Bon Voyage Blue.



The background was embossed with a Cuttlebug embossing folder. Decades Venetian Lace Ink was lightly rubbed across the embossed areas.
