Time for Tea

Check out my post this week  at Scrapbookpal using the Cricut Tags, Bags, Boxes and More 2 cartridge. I love this cartridge because it is filled with so many fun 3 dimensional projects.  My favorite project on this cartridge is the tea cup.

This tea cup would be amazing to create and present as a gift for all your favorite people - from family and friends to teachers. Just add some raffia, some candy kisses (or some other candy of choice) in a cellophane bag, and you are good to go.

Using the teacup, I cut it at fit2page which resulted in a 3 1/2" teacup. Once cut, I used my Scor-Pal and scored the areas that were to be folded. You could also do this with the included scoring feature AND the addition of the scoring blade, however, I prefer using my Scor-Pal to get the crisp folds I need.

Putting the cup together is fairly easy. Just add the handle to the cup (inserting it in the precut slots) and adhere the sides of the cup together, then place the smallest circle inside the cup. Put the saucer together and add the largest circle on top - this helps create the curviture in the saucer. Add adhesive to the bottom of the cup and adhere it to the saucer. I felt the cup needed a little something extra, so I pulled out some pretty lace that I thought would work well. Using a strong adhesive on the ribbon (such as Scor-tape), I added it to the cup, but felt it needed a little color. Out came my Copic Markers because, as you know, Copic Markers can color anything and this lace was no exception. I colored the lace band with G24. Love it!

Just because I was having so much fun with the tea cup, I made a few more!!!!
