Summer layout with Clear Scraps

Hi everyone, I'm on the Clear Scraps blog working with the Clear Scraps July kit.  This kit includes a Wood album, Create word, 2 XL acrylic shapes along with Bo Bunny Mood collection, Echo Park Good Day Collection, Me & My Big Idea Summer planner and Eyelet Outlet embellishments

Using the XL scalloped acrylic shape, I created a summer layout.

Remove the film from one side and paint that side.  Leaving the film in place on one side ensures you don't get paint on the other side.

Once the paint dries, remove the film from the other side.  Cut paper 10" x 10" and adhere to the unpainted side.  Mat 2 sheets from the BoBunny pad with navy cardstock and adhere them on a slight angle.

Select one photo and mat with cardstock.  Select 3 stickers from the Echo Park collection and arrange on die cuts and place around the photo.

I placed mesh in the corner and added some Makin's Clay seashells on top.  Then I spritzed them with Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist.

Then I added some additional mesh to the alternative corner.

Clear Scraps Cruise Album

Hi everyone today I'm creating with the Clear Scraps August kit.  This kit includes a Chip Scallop Album, Anchor and Helm chip shapes, small Acrylic Banner embellishments, Viva Decor Inka Gold Rose, and papers and stickers from Bo Bunny.  I used the Chip Scalloped Album to create a cruise album.

I bean by painting each chipboard page and the chipboard elements with gesso. Next I painted some Viva Decor Inka Rose Gold along the scalloped edges.

I used the chipboard pages as stencils and cut papers to fit each page.  Photos were used as pockets on the pages and tags were inserted with additional photos.

I tore papers for the front cover then added some gauze to the edge.  I wanted the Helm from the chip shapes as the main element on the front cove.  I painted it with silver paint and added touches of brown ink.  A large brad holds it to the front page.

I stamped and die cut some shells and added them amongst the gauze.  Cruisin' 2017 was die cut and added around the Helm.

Moments from the Journey

Hi everyone, Monica Taylor is celebrating the big 5-0 this month and I've joined in her celebration.

The theme is JOURNEY, so I've created a travel themed card.

I began by stamping this amazing stamp from Just4Fun Rubber Stamps.  After tearing it, I used Distress Inks to add color.

I then selected a variety of travel themed elements, inking all with the same inks.  I then assembled them on a card.

A metal label holder was placed over the Journey sentiment and a clip held the tickets together on the card.

Remember to wish Monica a Happy Birthyday.

Thanks for stopping by.

Clearscraps April Kit

Hi everyone, my newest post on the Clear Scraps blog is a set of cards and a tag using the Clear Scraps April kit.

I've used the Corner Mixers that were included in the kit.  My first card uses the Corner Mixers as stencils.  I left the film in place and inked over the Mixers to achieve the design.  I lightly scored the opposite edges and wrapped twine around the card.  A simple sentiment from Joy Clair was the perfect finish.

For my next card, I used Tattered Angels to create a negative image which I mounted on cardstock and added to my card.  I created this card for Father's Day with stamps from Joy Clair.

Finally, I created a tag, using the Mixer as an embellishment.  I removed the film and painted the Mixer with Tattered Angels Glimmer Glam.  It was the perfect embellishment for a tag.  I fussy cut stamps from Joy Clair and added some cash to the pocket.

Please stop by the store for more information on the April kit.

House Warming Gift Basket

Hi everyone, I've got a new post on the Clear Scraps blog today.  This April Kit included some fabulous Bo Bunny papers from Kiss the Cook collection and Chip accessories that I wanted to use.

I wanted to create a gift basket as a house warming gift and knew these cute Chip Baking Shapes from the April kit would make the perfect embellishment.

I simply inked and embossed the Chip Baking Shapes.  Once I heat set them they had this shiny metal look effect.  Using Beacon Adhesives, I adhered the elements together, then added Whisker Graphics twine to the whisk.

Since this was to be a house warming gift I painted a wood tray

I adhered some Bo Bunny pattern papers to the base.

After placing some cake mixes in the tray, I wrapped the tray with cellophane and finished it off with a bow created with the Bowdabra.

I tied the tools to the bow as a finishing touch.

Who wouldn't love to receive this house warming gift?

Winter Fun with Art Anthology

I am so super excited to be joining the Art Anthology Team.  And today, I've got my first post on the Art Anthology blog today.

I know we are months away from winter, but it's so hot in New York, I decided to play with snow.

I started with corrugated board and just tore away some of the top layers.

I painted  Bone Stone Effects and Frost Sorbet over the corrugated board.  It added just a hint of color to the board and dried very quickly.  A little more Frost Sorbet in the crevises gives the illusion of ice.  I really love the effect these paints have on the board.

I also painted a large chipboard gear with Honolulu Blue.  Once dry, I painted some  Frost Sorbet on top for an icy effect.

I fussy cut a snowflake and added it to the layout with a brad atop the painted gear.

More Frost Sorbet was added to the title.

Fun was die cut with my Cricut Expression and more Frost Sorbet was painted on top.

Lastly, I added some awesome May Arts ribbon so I could hang this panel in my studio.

Beauty

Hi everyone, it's time for a new challenge at Cornish Heritage Farms.  Kristine has asked us to create a card with our favorite die cuts or punches.

I chose to work with Laura, coloring her with Zig Markers before die cutting her with Spellbinders oval dies.

The sentiment is from the Ornament Beauty stamp set.

Thank You

Hi everyone, it's a new challenge at Oozak.com and we'd love to see your thanks themed creations.

I used Bo Bunny's Anthem paper line, cutting apart one of the papers to use as an interesting element on the card front.  The sentiment is from Justrite Stampers.

For some more dimension, I added an additional star on pop dots to the center medallion.

Thanks for stopping by and don't forget to stop by the Oozak blog for more inspiration and to enter the challenge.

Whimsey Stamps and Bo Bunny

Hi everyone.

I have 2 cards today, both using Bo Bunny's Anthem paper pad.  Love it!!!  Both are perfect for 4th of July celebrations.

I've used new Whimsy stamps:  Amy and Wee Florist.

The front of this card was cut from one of the papers in this pack, just trimmed to fit a 5 1/2" card.
Amy was colored with Copic Markers and added to the card front with foam adhesives for dimension on die cut ovals.

The card was inked with Clearsnap's Chestnut Ink.

This wood background paper with it's smattering of color was the perfect backdrop for Amy.  She was colored with Copic Markers, cut out and then added to the card front with foam adhesives for dimension.
