Clear Scraps Adventure Album

Hi everyone, I'm on the Clear Scraps blog using one of their newest Slimline Albums - The Wood Regular Slimline.

I started by spritzing the covers with water, then adding assorted colors of Brusho Color Crystals.

I wanted some of the wood grain to show so I spritzed additional water to allow the colors to spread.

Once dry, I taped the Adventure Stencil on an angle on the front cover and started inking the stencil with black ink.

I continued inking and re-inking the stencil until adventure was dark enough.

Remove the stencil to see the fabulous result.  The slimline albums are the perfect size for the 12" stencils.

Place the 6" Beach Fun Stencil on the front cover and ink the flip flops with different colors of ink.   Next, place the 6" Summer Palms Stencil in the upper corner and ink with green and brown inks.

Add large rings and tie mesh ribbon to each ring.  I can't wait to fill this album with all the things we can finally do this summer.

Thanks for stopping by.

Behind the Mermaid's Door

Hi everyone, I have another Fairy Stamper project to share.

Have you seen the new Fairy Hugs release?     It's all about the sea and there are fabulous stamps in this new set.

My first card showcases the Mermaid Door.  I stamped it twice, then fussy cut portions to add back to the door once the card was assembled.    There is always a lot going on in the ocean and so many colors to see.

I've used the following Fairy Hugs Stamps:
Mermaid Door, Rope Net, Frilly Seaweed, Teeny Ocean Icons, Tentacles

My next card uses a background created with Brusho color crystals.  stamped the elements on top, adding color as necessary.

I used the following Fairy Hugs Stamps:
Fairy Door, Marina

It's sneak peek week as there will be a brand new Fairy Hugs release on the Craft Store (formerly Hochanda TV) on May 2nd.

This is a wonderful release - all about the sea!  If you can imagine it, there is a stamp for it.

I've used Fairy Hugs stamps:  Wiggles, Sea Quote, Rope Net, Jester Mushrooms

Stay tuned for lots of projects using this new release.

Thanks for stopping by.

Fairy Stamper Stream Scene

Hi everyone, it's Thursday and my day to share another Fairy Stamper project.

I fell in love with the Fairy Hugs Stream Scene when I saw it - it's magical.  I created the background using Brusho Color Crystals.  You never know what you'll be creating and you only need a couple of taps to release the color crystals.

Once the background was dry, I stamped the Stream Scene using VersaFine Clair Nocturne Ink.

For a fun effect, I die cut the center of the panel and matted in on cardstock then added it back to the card.  It really helps focus your eyes on the water, doesn't it?

I typed out the phrase I wanted, then scattered it about the panel.

Thanks for stopping by.

Hello 2021

Hi everyone, it's Thursday and my day to share another Fairy Stamper project.   As we head into 2021, I'm wishing everyone a better year to come.

I created a slim line card using the Stream Scene and Moana.  I created the background with Brusho Color Crystals then stamped the Stream Scene in black ink.  I fussy cut Moana and placed her in the corner, looking at the stream and perhaps wishing for better times.  Hello was die cut from Rinea Sapphire/Gold Glossy Foiled Paper.

The panel was die cut with Lawn Fawn die, matted with a larger die and added to a white card.

Thanks for stopping by.

Quick and Easy Christmas Projects Day 5

Hi everyone.  Christmas will be here before we know it.  The last six years I've blogged about last minute Christmas ideas you could make in under 60 minutes.  Well, it's that time again and I've got some new projects to share.

I'm on the Clear Scraps blog creating with the Bell Mini Pallet Shape and the Star Mini Pallet Shape.  Clear Scraps has a number of different seasonally  shaped wood pallets and I thought they'd look nice hanging on the Christmas Tree or perhaps tied to Christmas packages.

I added color to the pallets using Brusho Colour Crystals.

I first spritzed each pallet with water then sprinkled on the crystals.  Spritzing additional water allowed the crystals to move creating amazing designs.  I continued to add crystals and more water until I had the colors/designs I wanted on each pallet.  Allow to dry naturally or heat set.

Once dry, I die cut the elements from Rinea Foiled Papers and adhered them to the Bell.  I was able to easily punch holes in the Bell and added twine.

I stamped and die cut a phrase, adding it to the Star.  I also punched a hole on one side and added a length of twine.

At approximately 4", the Bell is perfectly sized to hang on your Christmas Tree.

The Star is slightly smaller than the Bell but has just as many possibilities.

Thanks for stopping by today and don't forget to stop by daily as I show you more quick and easy Christmas projects.

Lavinia World Challenge #41

Hi everyone, it's time for the next challenge at Lavinia World Challenges.  Please check it out and join in the fun.

I created background created using an assortment of Brusho Inks.  The colors are amazing and you never know what you'll be creating.

Place Tree Goddess Luna on MISTI and stamp her with VersaFine Clair Nocturne Ink.  I reinked and restamped as needed for a good impression.

Stamp around Luna with Fairy Words using Nocturne Ink.  Place an acrylic die cut circle on Luna and sponge around her with Nocturne Ink for definition.  Use a Quickie Glue Roller Pen along the circle and pour Fairy Hugs Glitter Powder in Silver Lightening on top.

Mat the stamped panel with white cardstock and add to a red card.  Stamp the Time to Reflect phrase on a scrap of the background cardstock, then add to the card with foam adhesives for dimension.

Would love to see what you create for Challenge #41.  The winner of the challenge will receive a
$15 gift certificate to Lavinia World to shop for more goodies.   Remember there is a new challenge every other Thursday.

Thanks for stopping by.

Lavinia World Challenge #40

Hi everyone, it's time for the next challenge at Lavinia World Challenges.  Please check it out and join in the fun.

I started by stamping Daydreaming Silhouette in Versafine Clair Nocturne Ink.  Then I stamped Fairy Words using Versafine Clair Fallen Leaves across the panel.

The top panel was created with assorted colors of Brusho Inks.  The center was die cut and a scalloped border was placed around the opening.  Spotty Toadstools were stamped with Versafine Clair Fallen Leaves Ink along both sides of the card.

Using VersaFine Clair Shady Lane Ink, I stamped Luna Lights along the top edge in a variety of heights.

The panel was then placed over the fairy so she showed through the  die cut window.   Slender Mushrooms were stamped as first and second generation stamping with Fallen Leaves Ink across the bottom of the card.  The panel was then matted with pink cardstock.

The panel was then added to a green card and Platinum Liquid Pearls were added to the toadstools giving them some dimension.

Would love to see what you create for Challenge #40.  The winner of the challenge will receive a
$15 gift certificate to Lavinia World to shop for more goodies.   Remember there is a new challenge every other Thursday.
