Wood Wedding Album

 Hi everyone, I'm on the Clear Scraps blog using the Hearts 6x8 Wood Album.

I thought I would create a wedding themed book that can be used by the wedding guests to write notes (and perhaps pearls of wisdom?) to the newly married couple.

Using Prima Marketing shimmer paints, I painted the covers 2 different colors.

The Mr. and Mrs. chipboard title was the perfect add-on and I painted it black so it would really stand out on the cover of the book.

To add a bit of subtle depth to the cover, I used a script stamp with gold ink, randomly stamping it around the cover.

Cutting pages to fit the book, I punch holes  in all the pages, then put it binder rings.

Choosing some glittery ribbon, I tied it to the rings.

Clear Scraps Flip Flop Chipboard Album

 Hi everyone, I'm on the Clear Scraps blog with one of their new albums - Chip Tab Slimline Album.

Containing 5 pages, this chipboard album is perfect for creating a wide assortment of projects.  I chose to create a vacation album and while, we haven't been able to take a vacation recently, I plan on using this album for an upcoming vacation.  

Because I don't know where we'll be going, I chose to decorate the front cover.  I'll fill in the interior pages once we've finally taken that trip!

These chipboard pages are very sturdy and can withstand paint and ink.  I chose to add pattern paper to the cover, then used the Expressions Small Vacation word as a stencil, inking around it with black ink.  I left the film in place while using it as a stencil so the word would not pick up the color.

Then I removed the film on the reverse side and inked it with blue ink and adhered it to the album cover.

Next, I used decorated the Mini Shaker Flip Flops, inking the top layer with blue ink and the bottom layer with salmon ink.  Once the ink dried, I adhered the bottom layers together.  

Small beads were placed in the bottom layer.  The film was removed from the acrylic layer and the flip flop was assembled.

The flip flop shaker was adhered to the album on a slight angle.

Summer Themed Gift Bag

 Hi everyone, I'm on the Clear Scraps blog with a summer themed gift bag.

Clear Scraps has an assortment of and I've chosen the anchor . 

After separating all pieces, I  inked the pieces with orange  ink in keeping with the summer themed gift bag I created.

Punch holes in the base anchor and the acrylic anchor so ribbon can be threaded through.

Glue 2 anchors to the base and let dry.

Glue the remaining anchor to the acrylic anchor and let dry.

Reminder: remove the film from the acrylic piece before assembling.

Fill the channel with dew drops and place the acrylic anchor piece on top.

Tie to the handles of a gift bag.  It's a perfect summer themed embellishment for the gift bag.

Discover Mini Album with Clear Scraps

Hi everyone, I'm on the Clear Scraps blog using one of the Wood Cards.

Measuring approximately 3 3/4" x 5 3/4", the Blank Wood Card has endless possibilities.  I decided to turn it into a mini album.

The panels were inked (but also could have been painted) with coral ink.  Once dry, I used the Grass Stencil with green ink along the bottom.

The Bike with Basket Chipboard Embellishment was inked in an assortment of colors, then embossed/heat set.  

I added a few tags I had in my stash which help set the tone of this album.

Clear Scraps Autograph Album

Hi everyone, I'm on the Clear Scraps blog with a mini album today.

I used the Mouse Wood Card, choosing to turn it into an autograph album.  With the world finally opening up, how fun would it be to gather signatures of your favorite characters at Disney in this Disney specific album.

I inked the covers with yellow ink because it was handy.  But I could also have painted the covers.

I cut about a dozen pages to fit inside and then punched holes.

Placing the 6" Dandelion Wind stencil on the front cover, I inked portions with brown ink.

To finish I placed several metal word titles from my stash on the cover.

Clear Scraps Adventure Album

Hi everyone, I'm on the Clear Scraps blog using one of their newest Slimline Albums - The Wood Regular Slimline.

I started by spritzing the covers with water, then adding assorted colors of Brusho Color Crystals.

I wanted some of the wood grain to show so I spritzed additional water to allow the colors to spread.

Once dry, I taped the Adventure Stencil on an angle on the front cover and started inking the stencil with black ink. 

I continued inking and re-inking the stencil until adventure was dark enough.

Remove the stencil to see the fabulous result.  The slimline albums are the perfect size for the 12" stencils.

Place the 6" Beach Fun Stencil on the front cover and ink the flip flops with different colors of ink.   Next, place the 6" Summer Palms Stencil in the upper corner and ink with green and brown inks.

Add large rings and tie mesh ribbon to each ring.  I can't wait to fill this album with all the things we can finally do this summer.

Bunny Baby Cards with Clear Scraps

Hi everyone, I'm on the Clear Scraps blog with a set of baby cards.

I love creating baby cards, don't you?  There are so many different elements you can use.

I used the Bunnies Chipboard Embellishments, inking and embossing them.  Putting them aside, I created my cards.

I had this great baby paper that had both a boy and girl design so I could create similar cards.

Creating a card from pink cardstock, I matted the checked panel with the same cardstock and wrapped it with ribbon.  The baby panels were also matted with cardstock and added to the card with foam adhesives for dimension.  The pink bunny was adhered just below the Baby Girl tag.

Creating a 2nd card from blue cardstock, I matted the checked panel with the same cardstock and wrapped it with ribbon.  The baby panels were also matted with cardstock and added to the card with foam adhesives for dimension.  The blue bunny was adhered just below the Baby Boy tag.

So just remember that bunnies are not just for Easter!

Clear Scraps Underwater Scene

Hi everyone, I'm on the Clear Scraps blog with a new project today.

I've created a sweet underwater scene which starts with the Circle Pallet Shape.

The pallet was painted with several shades of blue paint.  Once dry, I used the 6" Beach Fun Stencil to add several elements to the background with brown ink.

Next, I painted the Octopus Chipboard Embellishment with dark blue paint so he would stand out against the background.

The Octopus was adhered to the right side.  Then I added a crab from the 6" Beach Fun Stencil in a different color for a more dramatic effect.

Clear Scraps Fall Decor

Hi everyone, I'm on the Clear Scraps blog sharing one of the new products available.  This new collection is called Frameables - which are changeable frames and embellishments.

I'm working with the a fall themed design.  I painted the large base and the frame with brown paint.  Rinea Marigold/Gold Glossy Foiled Paper was adhered to the smaller base.

For contrast, I adhered Rinea Marigold Starstruck and Rinea Mocha Starstruck to the pumpkin, then used the sanding tool to sand the edges.  FALL was inked with brown ink and also lightly sanded.

All the elements fit into the slots and you can arrange them as you like.

Place a photo in the frame.  If you leave one of the edges free, you can easily replace the photo as the season progresses.

Clear Scraps Acrylic Phone Stand

Hi everyone, I'm on the Clear Scraps blog with some amazing  products.

I've used the Acrylic Phone Stand, opting to decorate it with potted flower arrangement created with a Tutti Designs Die and Rinea Foiled Papers.

I die cut the potted flower arrangement from 3 different colors of Rinea Foiled Papers - Silver/Gold Glossy Foiled Paper for the flower pot; Marigold/Glossy Foiled Paper for the flowers and Jade Starstruck for the leaves.

Now the fun part was cutting apart the potted flowers and reassembling in the appropriate colors.

Using a clear adhesive, I adhered the potted flowers to the acrylic base.

It's a perfect size for my phone, and even looks pretty sitting on the counter.
