Time to celebrate

It's time to celebrate and I am participating in the Designer Crafts Connection blog hop this month.  This month we are working with some fabulous products from Deflecto Crafts.

The Deflecto Crafts 3 Tier Dessert Stand is a fabulous product that can be used for so many projects.  In keeping with the Celebration theme, I created a Dessert Stand that can be used to hold goodie bags for the guests using mini take away boxes.

Around the edges of the tiers, I placed pearl ribbon, adhering it with Beacon's Fabri-tac.

I created a ribbon topper with some pretty sheer glittered ribbon and the Bowdabra.

 



The flowers were created from the Florals Push Mold from Makin's Clay.  I combined white and red clays to get the perfect shade of pink.

The treat boxes were stamped with a script stamp and the edges inked with gold ink.  Spellbinders vines were adhered to each box and the clay flowers were added to the edges.

 

Place this Dessert Stand near the door and your guests can take their treat boxes when the party is over. You can even personalize the treat boxes with the names of your guests.

EMHS Graduation

To showcase my son's graduation from high school, I created a photo display and place settings for a graduation party.   Deflecto Crafts  creates a variety of products  from Sign Holders, Frames, Hangers, Food Display and more. 

The large sign display at 12" x 12" was perfect for my son's graduation photo.  The pattern paper slipped inside easily and I decorated the exterior with my son's photo and die cut graduation caps.

 

And these mini photo frames worked out well for place settings.  I slipped mini photos inside then adhered the sign holders to the back.  More die cut graduation caps were placed on top and stickers were used to show the table numbers.

Blog hopping with Ann Butler Designs and Deflecto

Hi everyone, today we are blog hopping with Ann Butler Designs and Deflecto Crafts.  Ann Butler has some amazing stencils, stamps, inks and paints that work beautifully with Deflecto products.

I've used Deflecto's 8" x 10" Craft Frame for this project.  I began by using molding paste through the Wave and Stars Art Screens.

While waiting for the molding paste to dry, I created the background.  Using white cardstock, I painted it with Sheer Copper Iridescents.  Once dry, I randomly stamped the Basket1 Stamp using Canyon ink.  I didn't want complete coverage so I was not careful about how/where I stamped.

To create the flowers, I stamped the Picnic1 Stamp on white cardstock using Berry Crafter's Ink.  After die cutting, I edged some of the flowers with Berry Iridescents, then formed them using the handle of a paint brush.  I then assembled them into clusters with brads.

The flowers were placed in the left corner using Tacky Craft Glue for a good strong bond.  To adhere the yellow flower soft  to the flower centers I also used Tacky Craft Glue.  The leaves were die cut from white cardstock and then painted with Limelight Iridescents and edged with Deep Woods Crafter's Ink.  They were then inserted amongst the flowers.

A photo was matted with 2 layers of cardstock then added to the stamped background sheet and was  then inserted into the frame.  The beauty of this frame is that the photo page can be changed out when you want to showcase another photo.
