Masculine Cards with Clearscraps

Hi everyone, I'm on the Clear Scraps blog and it's time to celebrate the men in our lives.  Whether it's for Father's Day or his birthday, Clearscraps' Cog Gears Chipboard Embellishments are the perfect choice for creating masculine cards.

The 4 chipboard gears are attached to a chipboard frame which you can easily separate.

I decided to use the chipboard frame on one of my cards so I left one of the gears attached to the frame then painted all pieces with brown paint.

The frame worked out to be a great focal point for my first card.  Cutting Rinea Sapphire/Gold Glossy Foiled Paper to fit, I embossed it then adhered it to the frame.

The frame was then adhered to the card and a stamped phrase added within the frame.  Finally,  I added the smaller gear in the center of the large gear.

I created another card using the 2 remaining gears.

After creating a card from cardstock, I used Rinea Ebony/Gold Glossy Foiled Paper and Rinea Marigold Starstruck Foiled Paper with Lawn Fawn dies.  I placed the painted gears in opposite corners.

The phrases were stamped, die cut and added to the center of the card.

What do you think?

Floral Cards with Rinea Foils

Hi everyone, I'm on the Rinea blog using their Pastels Foiled Paper Variety Pack and some lovely stamps from SoSuzy/Crackerbox Stamps.

Cut Lavender/Gold Glossy Foiled Paper and Turquoise/Gold Glossy Foiled Paper to 4" x 5 1/4".  Using stamps from SoSuzy/Crackerbox Stamps, stamp the Wispy Chrysanthemum Outline on Lavender/Gold Glossy Foiled Paper and stamp the Wispy Chrysanthemum Solid on Turquoise/Gold Glossy Foiled Paper with VersaFine Black Ink.

Mat the Turquoise panel with white cardstock and adhere to a black card.

Add some dew drops to the flower centers.  Stamp the phrase on a scrap of foil, matting with white and black cardstock.  Wrap twine around the panel and adhere to the card with foam adhesives for dimension.

Mat the Lavender panel with white cardstock and wrap with purple ribbon.  Adhere to a black card.

Stamp the phrase on a scrap of foil, matting with white and black cardstock.  Adhere the phrase along the right side of the card with foam adhesive for dimensions.  Tie twine to the ribbon.

Happy Thanksgiving

Happy Thanksgiving!

I love Thanksgiving and had fun creating this card using a Tutti Designs Die and adhesive vinyl from Stylecraft/Tape Technologies.

Using Gold Vinyl, I die cut the Tutti Design Cornucopia.  It cut beautifully.  Then I fussy cut orange cardstock for the pumpkin.

Using Apple Glitter vinyl, I cut it to fit an embossing folder.

Then I lightly inked it with VersaFine Clair Pinecone Ink and rubbed the color into the design.

Place the panel onto brown cardstock and adhere the cornucopia to the bottom corner.

Stamp Happy Thanksgiving on a scrap with VersaFine Clair and emboss with Clear embossing powder.  Place on brown cardstock.

Create card from white and brown cardstock and wrap with ribbon.  Add panel on top with foam adhesives for dimension.

Happy Thanksgiving.

Thanksgiving Table Decor with Rinea Foils

Hi everyone. I really enjoy decorating for the holidays, don't you? Why not incorporate some Rinea Foiled Papers into your tablescape this year. The foils add a wonderful effect. I'm using the Autumn Foiled Paper Variety Pack which consists of yummy colors such as Mocha, Ruby and Marigold.

My tablescape consists of 2 different sized pumpkins, covered candle jars, silverware pockets and lots of leaves.  To create the small pumpkin, I cut strips of Glossy/Marigold Gold Foil 1" wide. I punched holes in both ends and created the pumpkins by placing brads in the holes and then fanning the strips out. The more strips you add, the fuller the pumpkin.

I placed different sized craft dowels inside the pumpkins to help hold their shapes. For the taller pumpkin, I used Marigold Starstruck and let the dowel poke through the top. Then I created the pumpkin topper using the 3D Hyacinth Die with Emerald/Gold Glossy Foil and curling each piece. Large leaves were die cut from Mocha using Sizzix dies and then adhered to the bottom of each pumpkin.

For the candles, I cut Starstruck Mocha Brown Foil 3 1/2" wide and wrapped it around each candle. A 1 1/2" strip of Glossy Marigold/Gold was then wrapped around the center. Twine was then wrapped around the jar. Assorted colors and shapes of leaves were die cut and added under the twine.

Finally, silverware Pockets were created using a pocket die from Scor-Pal with Glossy Marigold/Gold Foil.

Once die cut, I used twine to tie the pockets together. The phrase from Crackerbox/So Suzy Stamps was stamped, embossed and die cut, then tied to the front of each pocket using the twine. Using a small leaf punch, I punched leaves from left over scraps of foil and added them about the pocket.

Happy Thanksgiving.

Thanksgiving Cards with Rinea Foils

Hi everyone, now that Halloween has passed, it's time to turn our thoughts toward Thanksgiving.  Joy Clair and So Suzy have some wonderful stamps so I've paired them with assorted die cuts to create wonderful Fall cards.

The Autumn Foiled Paper pack has some really rich fall colors.  Glossy and Starstruck papers in colors called Ruby, Mocha and Marigold.

I created a 5 1/2" square card from brown cardstock and added a layer of script paper on top.

Using a wonderfully intricate cornucopia die from Tutti designs, the foil cut beautifully.  I cut the cornucopia from Mocha and added a piece of Marigold Starstruck under the pumpkin, gluing it to the pumpkin veins so it would stand out.  Then I added Marigold under the cornucopia.

Next, I die cut an oval from Marigold and embossed it with a Cuttlebug embossing folder.  A smaller oval was die cut from Gold Foil (you can use the reverse side of any of the foils) and embossed with a script embossing folder.  I placed the cornucopia on the oval, leaving the corner edge free.

Happy Thanksgiving from So Suzy/Crackerbox stamps was stamped with VersaFine Clair Nocturne Ink on Marigold.   Embossing power was added and the panel was heat set.  Because foil buckles in the heat, I had this funky effect.

Once it cooled, I smoothed out the stamped panel and matted it with cardstock.  I love the effect.  I then placed it on the card with foam adhesives.

For my next card, I created a 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" card from brown cardstock then added the same script background panel.

I chose a Spellbinders die that would be used to showcase all the colors in this collection.  The largest layer was die cut from Mocha and the smaller layer from Gold.  The flowers were die cut from Ruby and the leaves were die cut from some scraps of Emerald.

Happy Fall Y'all, from Joy Clair was stamped with VersaFine Clair Nocturne Ink on white cardstock, then die cut to fit the center of the panel.  A ribbon was die cut from Emerald and adhered to the center.    To finish, dew drops were added randomly to the flower centers.

Etched Blessing Jars

Hi everyone, it's almost Thanksgiving and it's time to share a new project I created with Etchall

I placed each jar in etchallⓇ dip 'n etch and let them sit for about 15 minutes.

After 15 minutes, I removed the jar and rinsed it off.  As dip 'n etch liquid is reusable, I poured it  back into it's original container so it could be used for other projects.

Whisker Graphics twine was wrapped around the top of the jar.  A 1" strip of Rinea Starstruck Mocha Brown Foil was wrapped around the jar.  Using a Spellbinders die, I die cut Glossy Emerald/Gold, Glossy Marigold/Gold and Glossy Ruby/Gold foils, layering them and adhering the panels to the jars.

A phrase from Crackerbox/SoSuzy was stamped with Versafine Onyx Black Ink and embossed before being die cut and added to the center of the foiled panels.  To finish, gems from the Robin's Nest were added to the flower centers.

Pinecones and a light were placed inside.

Lighted or not, the jars look amazing.

Happy Haunting with Whisker Graphics

Hi everyone, Halloween will be here before we know it!  I'm on the Whiskers Graphic blog today with some cute treat bags.

Supplies:
Divine Twine Collection - Bright White Solid, Black, Natural
Middy Bitty Bags
Imagine Crafts - VersaFine Clair Fallen Leaves Ink; Memento Markers
Suzy Stamps/Crackerbox  - stamps

I started by gathering some different colored bags and twine.

Die cutting circles from white cardstock I stamped the pumpkin trio on each with VersaFine Clair Fallen Leaves Ink.  Then I added color with Memento Markers.

Each stamped imaged was then placed atop a larger circle of brown cardstock and adhered to each bag.

To be sure I had the images in the right place, I folded down the tops of each bag and punched holes for the twine.  Then I placed the Happy Haunting phrase across each image.

To finish, simply tie the twine to each bag.

Aren't they cute?  They didn't take very long to make so if you need a lot for an upcoming event, just set them up assembly line style and put them together.

Thanks for stopping by.

Happy Haunting Blog Hop

Hi everyone,  I'm participating in a blog hop today with Imagine Crafts and Crackerbox/SoSuzy stamps and I've got 2 cards to share.

My Happy Haunting card uses the Birthday Skeleton.  He was stamped with VersaFine Ink in Onyx Black, then I used Memento Markers  to add color.

For the frame, I used Rinea Marigold/Gold Glossy Foiled Paper, then I die cut it with Lawn Fawn dies for the perfect frame.

Creating a horizontal card, I framed my image with the foiled frame.  By adding Happy Haunting, he becomes a perfect Halloween card, don't you think?

My next card uses the Halloween Tree and the awesome VersaFine Clair Inks.

Placing the stamp on my Misti, I first inked the tree with Fallen Leaves.  Using a dauber, I added additional colors to the stamp using Nocturne, Cheerful, Summertime, Tulip Red, and Green Oasis inks.

The card was created from orange cardstock.  A tartan panel was matted with green cardstock and strips of orange and green added across the center.  Twine was wrapped around the panel and it was then added to the card. The tree was die cut and matted with a larger die and added to the card with foam adhesives.

Happy Haunting was stamped in Nocturne Ink and then cut apart.  It was then matted with orange and green cardstock then added to the card.
