Masculine Cards with Clearscraps

Hi everyone, I'm on the Clear Scraps blog and it's time to celebrate the men in our lives.  Whether it's for Father's Day or his birthday, Clearscraps' Cog Gears Chipboard Embellishments are the perfect choice for creating masculine cards.

The 4 chipboard gears are attached to a chipboard frame which you can easily separate.

I decided to use the chipboard frame on one of my cards so I left one of the gears attached to the frame then painted all pieces with brown paint.

The frame worked out to be a great focal point for my first card.  Cutting Rinea Sapphire/Gold Glossy Foiled Paper to fit, I embossed it then adhered it to the frame.

The frame was then adhered to the card and a stamped phrase added within the frame.  Finally,  I added the smaller gear in the center of the large gear.

I created another card using the 2 remaining gears.

After creating a card from cardstock, I used Rinea Ebony/Gold Glossy Foiled Paper and Rinea Marigold Starstruck Foiled Paper with Lawn Fawn dies.  I placed the painted gears in opposite corners.

The phrases were stamped, die cut and added to the center of the card.

What do you think?

Merry Christmas with JFF Stamps

Hi everyone, Just For Fun Rubber Stamps has disbanded the design team, but I still have projects to share.

I've used the Just For Fun Skinny Christmas Tree, coloring it with Memento markers.  I then die cut it and matted it with a larger die.

I created a background using a toner sheet and foils from Creative Vision Stamps.  The panel was then added to a green card and the tree added on top.  Merry Christmas is from the Sentiments 1 stamp set.

Merry Christmas.

Enjoy Your Retirement

Hi everyone, I've go ta new post to share for Dies R Us.  For those heading towards retirement, wouldn't it be great to send them this card?

Start by embossing the card front.  Spritz the card front with Antique Linen Distress Spray Stain and allow the card to dry.  Alternatively, you could emboss and spritz a separate cardstock panel and adhere it to the card.

Stamp image with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink on white cardstock.  I used assorted Memento Markers to color the image, but I could easily have used Ranger Distress Markers.

Create a mask by restamping the image.  Cut around the Pelican and sand and placing the mask on the main image.  Add color to the sky and water.  Cut around the leaves so they will be free when the image is die cut.

Wrap card with white Baker's Twine.  Place the image atop a larger oval and place on the card with 3D adhesives.  Stamp phrase with black ink, mat with cardstock and add to the right corner.

Stop by the blog for the supplies I've used.

Spooky Monsters with Creative Vision Stamps

Hi everyone, I've created a new card using stamps from Creative Vision Stamps

The Pet Monsters stamp set consists of 4 monsters and 4 phrases.

I used the pet dinosaur, coloring him with Copic Markers before fussy cutting him.  I distressed the pattern paper and added it to a black card.  I then placed the dinosaur upon a large black circle, then stamped the phrase above the circle.

Cute, isn't he?

Happy Halloween With Creative Vision Stamps

Hi everyone, I've created a new card using the new Foilables Mini Series from Creative Vision Stamps

The Happy Halloween set includes 3 Happy Halloween panels and 3 mini cards so you have endless ways to create with this set.

I foiled the  panel with WildFire Heat Transfer Foil.  Isn't that a wonderful color?  Depending on how you hold the image, you get several different colors!   I matted the panel on both black and orange cardstock.

To create the background, I repeatedly stamped the bat from the Pet Monsters stamp set, rotating the image as I stamped the panel.  This panel was then matted with black cardstock before being added to an orange card.

The Happy Halloween panel was added to the card with foam adhesives for dimension.

Very Merry Christmas with Creative Vision Stamps

Hi everyone, I've created a new card using stamps from Creative Vision Stamps.

Using the Beary Merry stamp set, I stamped the tree twice.  Next, I used a masking technique to add the third tree, just slightly darker than the other two.

The panel was die cut and matted with a larger die before being added to the card.

The sentiment, from the same set, was added across the trees.

As it needed a little "something" extra, I added some assorted colors of  Robin's Nest dew drops about the trees to simulate Christmas tree lights.
