Start by using dip 'n etch to etch the tall vase. As my container was not tall enough, I etched the bottom portion first.
To etch the neck of the vase, I placed it in a smaller glass. So, not only did I etch the neck of my vase, but I also etched the smaller glass too! Remember that dip 'n etch is reusable so simply pour it back into its original container.
I then realized that I had a portion of the neck that had not been etched, so I placed etching crème around the neck. After 15 minutes I scraped the etching crème back into it's original jar (it, too is reusable) and you would never know that the bottled was etched in stages.
Pretty isn't it?
Now it was time to decorate. In keeping with my Fall theme, I spritzed the vase with assorted colors of Fireworks! Shimmery Craft sprays.
I heat set each color before spritzing the next so the colors would stay true and not get muddy.
To finish, I created a bow with my Bowdabra and tied it to the vase, then added fall toned flowers and raffia.
Thanks for stopping by.
Steph
