Hi everyone, I'm on the Rinea blog today using one of their new colors - Merlot/Gold Glossy Foiled Paper. It is such a pretty color and, like all the other foiled papers, it die cuts and embosses beautifully.
Using a Spellbinders background die, I created two very different cards.
The panel on the left did not die cut completely - it die cut the edges and embossed the center portion as the pressure with my die cut equipment was lessened. The panel on the right die cut completely as I had the full pressure in play. The result is 2 different panels to work with.
The fully die cut panel was matted with the reverse side of the Merlot/Gold Glossy Foiled Paper. Alternatively, I could have used Gold/Gold Glossy Foiled Paper.
The die cut panel was matted with cardstock, then wrapped with coordinating ribbon and some glittery twine.
The panel was then added to the card with foam adhesives for dimension.
A Penny Black phrase was stamped, punched, and added to the lower portion of the card while dew drops were placed on alternate flowers about the card.
The die cut and embossed panel was also matted with cardstock then wrapped with a sparkly beige ribbon and some twine. It was then also added to the card with foam adhesives for dimension.
A Penny Black phrase was stamped, punched out, and added to the lower portion of the card while Nuvo Crystal Drops were added on each flower on the card.
Thanks for stopping by.
Steph
