Jug of Flowers

Hi everyone, I'm on the Rinea blog with a floral canvas.  Did you know that Rinea has a set of dies for making their stars?  Read on to see how I used the star dies.

Using the Rinea Star Dies, I die cut dies #1 and dies #2 from the new Love Foiled Paper Variety Pack-Glossy Blush/Gold, Glossy Fucshia/Gold and Starstruck Fuschia.  I rolled edges of the dies and glued them together with Helmar Glue.  Then I added Flower Soft in the centers of each flower. 

I die cut the jug from Silver/Silver Glossy Foiled Paper using my Cricut.  I had the pressure setting on medium and the speed setting on high.

I inked around the canvas panel with Delicate Rose Gold Ink.  Using Spellbinders dies, I die cut leaf flourishes from  Jade/Glossy Gold Foiled Papers and Emerald/Emerald Starstruck Foiled Papers.

I embossed the jug with a Cuttlebug embossing folder, then adhered the jug to the canvas with foam adhesives for dimension.   I glued the leaf flourishes around the jug using Helmar glue.

I folded some of the leaves down so they covered the jug.

Then I placed the flowers over the leaves.  Finally, I added additional leaves around the jug to fill in the empty spaces.

What do you think?  This is another way to use the Star Dies in a different manner.  Don't they make wonderful flowers?  I hope you give them a try.

Hello Spring Flowers

It's my day on the Joy Clair blog and  I'm using one of the newest stamp sets this month - Spring Time Flowers.

These flowers are so realistic, I couldn't resist creating a bright and cheery card.  Since I wanted to create a long card, I used a masking technique, stamping the flowers 5 times on a white panel.   I then colored the flowers with Copic Markers.

After edging the panel with purple ink, I matted it with black cardstock.  I really wanted the colors to pop and black just has the ability to make that happen.  I stamped Hello in the corner of the panel.  For additional layering and dimension, I added FlowerSoft to the center of each flower.  FlowerSoft is a fun product that added some great dimension and is perfect for the flower centers, bringing the flowers to life.

Altered Jewelry Box

My newest post on the Proxxon blog is an altered jewelry box.

I used etchallⓇ etching crème to etch a design into the mirror.  Using my Cricut I die cut a pattern from vinyl then placed the negative on the mirror.  I covered it with etchallⓇ etching crème and allowed it to sit for 15 minutes.

EtchallⓇ etching creme is reusable so after 15 minutes I scraped off the crème from the glass and returned it back to the jar.

I wiped off the remaining etching crème with a baby wipe, then I removed the the vinyl. 

The etched design is stunning.

After removing the vinyl, I cleaned the glass with a fresh baby wipe.

Now I decorated the top of the jewelry box using Plaid paints, a Prima stencil, Makin'sⓇ clay and push molds to create the clay elements, and used Rinea Foils to create the flowers for the corner.

What little girl wouldn't love this jewelry box?

Wishing Well

Hi everyone, have you seen the stamps from So Suzy stamps yet?  Check out the store.

Today, I created a different shaped card using Spellbinders dies.  The Wishing Well was stamped and then the layer was die cut to fit the card.  I lightly colored portions of the wishing well with Copic Markers, then added FlowerSoft to finish the design.

Another layer was die cut for the interior of the card and a simple sentiment was stamped inside.

Enjoy the Little Things

I have a card up on the Papertemptress blog today. If you haven't checked out the papers in the store, you must. They are absolutely absolutely amazing!!!!!

Using Gold Sparkle as my card base, I created a 5 1/4" x 5 1/4" square card. I then used Mint which I embossed with a Cuttlebug embossing folder. I love how it holds the dimension.



I stamped my Flowersoft Image on Neenah Solar White and colored it with my Copic Markers. I then cut the image into a circular shape with my Nestabilities and added another Nestabilities as the base.

For a Wonderful Friend

I love this image by FlowerSoft. I've colored her dress in a number of different colors and she looks different every time I color her based upon the papers I used.



After coloring my image on Neenah Solar White , I knew I wanted to use it as my focal image, so I cut a frame with the Spellbinders dies on some Blue Leather . It die cut and embossed beautifully. I used Blue Basis cardstock as my base, and added a strip of White Pearl Linen under the pattern paper.

I added foam adhesive to the frame then tied a piece of black and silver ribbon to the bottom edge.



I used my left over supplies to finish the interior of the card and stamped my sentiment in Clearsnap ink using a Justrite Stamp.

Once I was done, I added some pearls to the frame and the flowers.

Spring is in the Air

This week's challenge at Embellish Magazine is to create a square card based on the color pallette shown.

Since I recently received a selection of Magnolia stamps, I just had to play. I colored the stamps with Copics, then created a background with Nestabiliteis. I inked the die cut with a dauber and Ice Blue Ink from ColorBox and then added Spring Mix from Flowersoft under the fence. The sentiment is a Hero Arts stamp that I then die cut with another Spellbinders die and placed it behind the focal image.



I added pop dots to the die cuts and also to the little image to help it stand out from the fence. The lace was just an added touch since I rarely use lace and wanted to play with it.



I am lovin' my supply of Magnolia stamps!!

You're Purrfect

I have had this Flowersoft stamp for awhile and finally decided to work with it. I honestly didn't realize how pretty she would be.



I used Core=dinations cardstock and embossed it with a Cuttlebug embossing folder. Then I sanded it so the other side would show through. The image was stamped on Papertemptress' white irridiscent paper (gorgeous!!) and colored with Copics. I then die cut it with 2 layers from the Nestabilties set. I inked the edges with Ranger Walnut Ink, then added Flowersoft for a little color in the grass.
