Fairy Hugs Anniversary Celebration

Hi everyone, Fairy Hugs is celebrating it's first anniversary with a new selection of stamps which will be showcased on www.thecraftstore.com on September 8-9.  I created a number of cards for the show, so hope you have the chance to stop by and watch the show.

I've used Fairy Hugs Fireworks for the background, inking the stamp with both yellow and orange inks.  The panel was matted with yellow cardstock and wrapped with twine before being added to an orange card.

I also used  Fairy Hugs It's Your Birthday and Confetti stamps to finish the card.  This was then die cut with TLC Designs Daisy Frame Die.

Wood Wedding Album

Hi everyone, I'm on the Clear Scraps blog using the Hearts 6x8 Wood Album.

I thought I would create a wedding themed book that can be used by the wedding guests to write notes (and perhaps pearls of wisdom?) to the newly married couple.

Using Prima Marketing shimmer paints, I painted the covers 2 different colors.

The Mr. and Mrs. chipboard title was the perfect add-on and I painted it black so it would really stand out on the cover of the book.

To add a bit of subtle depth to the cover, I used a script stamp with gold ink, randomly stamping it around the cover.

Cutting pages to fit the book, I punch holes  in all the pages, then put it binder rings.
Choosing some glittery ribbon, I tied it to the rings.

Hello Seahorse with TLC Designs

Hi everyone, DT-Steph Ackerman here to share a sweet card using assorted TLC Designs products.

I've used the Zinnia Slimline die along with the Watercolor Naturals Slimline Paper Pack.

A number of elements from the Seahorse Samm Digital Stamp Set were colored with Copic Markers and then fussy cut.  Drops of liquid pearls added some accents to each piece.

To create the card, I placed the largest die over folded cardstock and taped it in place while running it through my die cut machine.  Since the card would have a flat edge, I also die cut another panel and added it to the card to complete the die.

All the elements were added to the card with foam adhesives for dimension and Hello, from the Celebrate Sentiments stamp set was added above the grouping.

Welcome Fall

Hi everyone, I'm on the Dies R Us blog today.

As we head from summer into fall, I can almost hear the crunching leaves, can you?

I die cut the Maple Vine Frame from  Rinea Mocha/Gold Glossy Foiled Paper.  The foiled paper die cut beautifully and was the perfect frame for my fall card.

Using The Best Glue Ever, I adhered the frame to a panel of Rinea Emerald Starstruck Foiled Paper.

Because leaves come in a multitude of colors, I die cut the frame again with a variety of foils, fussy cut some of the leaves and adhering them back to the main frame, giving the card some dimension.

Stamping an image, I colored her with Copic Markers, fussy cut her, matted her with cardstock for emphasis, then fussy cut her again.   Finally, I slipped her behind some leaves along the bottom of the card.

Stop by the Dies R Us Store to see all the amazing dies that are available.

New School Year Mini Album

Hi everyone, it's a new month and the challenge on the Scor-Pal blog is to create anything you want, just be sure it includes more than one score.

With schools going back shortly, I've created a mini accordion back to school album, which would be perfect to document your child's school year or perhaps give to a special teacher.

Cut cardstock into 4" x 4" squares, scoring each at 1", 2", and 3".
Fold on the score lines.

Adhere the panels together to create one set of accordions.  Alternatively, you could cut cardstock 4" x 12" and score every inch to achieve the same result.   Create the cover by cutting cardstock 11 1/2" x 5", scoring at  4 1/2" and 6 1/2".  Adhere the outer edges of the accordion to the scored lines of the cover.

Be sure to slip ribbon before decorating the front and back covers.

Finally adhere 4" panels of white cardstock to each valley fold and decorate with assorted pattern papers.  Add additional elements as desired.

Please stop by thScor-Pal blog to see what the designers have created this month.

Dance in the Rain

Hi everyone, I'm creating with Blank Page Muse Stamps today.

Supplies:

Blank Page Muse Stamps Dandelion Bursts Background
Blank Page Muse Stamps Raindrops Waterdrops

I love background stamps because they can truly be the focus of your card.  If it's a bit smaller than your card, place it off center and add a phrase that overlaps the background.

Using 2 colors of blue ink, add color to the stamp.
Use the lighter color first, then lightly tap the darker color randomly about the stamp.

Mat the background with a coordinating color and adhere to the card slightly off center.

Stamp the phrase and mat with coordinating cardstock.
Add to card with foam adhesives for dimension.
Add stickles about the card.

Back to School Gift

As summer draws to a close are you getting ready to see the kids go back to school?  How about giving the teacher a sweet little gift to start the school year off right.

I've used etchallⓇ dip 'n etch on a glass jar to create a nice "frosty" appearance.

To begin, pour dip 'n etch into a container then place the jar in the liquid.  So the jar does not float, place little stones or pebbles in the jar to weigh it down.

Let the jar sit for approximately 15 minutes, then remove, rinse and wipe dry.  Dip 'n etch is reusable, so pour it back into it's original container so it is available for other projects.

Once the jar is dry, simply decorate as desired.  I've decorated with Rinea Ruby/Gold Glossy Foiled Paper and Rinea Gold/Gold Glossy Foiled Paper which was die cut with a tiny apple die.  Adhering the layers together, I then wrapped them around the jar.

Then I added an assortment of pens, pencils, rulers and you have a perfect teacher gift.

Hooray! with TLC Designs

Hi everyone, I'm on the TLC Designs blog today sharing a sweet card using assorted TLC Designs products.

I used one of the stamps from Tiptoe Fairy Dance, coloring her with Copic Markers, then fussy cutting her.  For more dimension, I added liquid pearl drops to the flowers in her hair and stickles on her wings.

After creating a card from red cardstock, I selected one of the papers from  You Are My Sunshine Slimline Digi Papers.  Wrapping the card with ribbon, I then added die cut circles using the Aztec Sunshine Dies, and placed the fairy in the center with pop dots for dimension.

Hooray! is from the Toga's and Bubbles stamp set.

Decorative Candle with Gwen Studios

Hi everyone.  I've got a new project to share using some lovely ribbons from Gwen Studios.

I love decorating candles and knew this ribbon would look lovely on this candle.

Covering the candle with Rinea Silver/Gold Glossy Foiled Paper, I added Fuchsia/Gold Glossy Foiled Paper as the second layer.  Faux Suede Ribbon was added where the foils joined as well as around the top edge.  I love the suede contrast against the foils.

To finish, I die cut flowers and leaves from TLC Designs Zinnia Slimline Die set using Rinea Silver/Gold Glossy Foiled Paper and  Rinea Emerald/Gold Glossy Foiled Paper.  Next, I adhered them around the jar and pulled the layers out for dimension.

Finally I added die cut circles from the same foils using the TLC Designs Happy Dragonfly Circle Die set and added to the top of the jar.

Creeping It Real Halloween Card

Hi everyone, did you see the new TLC Designs Release?  It is amazing!!!!!  Stop by the TLC Designs Shop to see all the new products that are available.

I'm using the Creeping it Real Digital Stamps, Digital Paper Pack and Zinnia Slimline Die.

I chose this fun Trick or Treat phrase and die cut it with the smallest of the dies.  Then I paired it with Dracula and the Monster which I colored with Copic Markers, then fussy cut.

Using the Zinnia die, I die cut the digi paper.

I created a card using the main die.  Placing the die off the folded edge of the cardstock keeps the card intact, but you lose part of the pretty edging.   Easy solve - die cut a separate panel and add it to the card to complete the look of the die!

This card was fun to create and is absolutely adorable.
