Lovely Gift Bag

Hi everyone, this week the Ann Butler Design Team is sharing projects created with products from Ann Butler Designs, Rita Barakat and Lisa Jimenez.

Supplies:

Ann Butler's Crafter's Ink by Clearsnap  - Berry and Canyon
Rita Barakat's Art Foamies - Hot Air Balloon
Lisa Jimenez Colorique Ink by Clearsnap - Honey Bee and Wisteria

I began by inking the Hot Air Balloon with both Berry and Canyon Inks.  This is a large stamp that I knew would be perfect for a gift bag.  Once stamped, I then fussy cut both pieces.

I placed several drops of Honey Bee and Wisteria Colorique on a gift bag, then used a paint brush to create the streaky background.  Colorique Ink is blendable so where the colors overlap, a third color came to life.

Colorique works on a variety of surfaces so I selected a metal charm and painted it with Honey Bee.  Before it dried, I rubbed off the color as I wanted the color to soak into the letter spaces.  Finally I painted Wisteria on the charm and heat set it.

Next, I inked some ribbon with Berry Ink.

Then I used my Bowdabra to create a ribbon.

To finish,  I matted the hot air balloon with cardstock and adhered to the bag.   I tied the ribbon to the handles and added the charm.  I also used Berry Ink around the edges of the gift bag.

I hope you enjoyed my project and will try these lovely supplies.

Fall Pumpkin

Hi everyone, I'm on the Topflight blog today showcasing stamps from Leanne Creatief - Doodle Clear Stamp Pumpkin.

I cut layers for the base of my card and inked all edges with Distress Ink.   Fall was die cut from Rinea Foiled Paper using my Cricut Expression.

I stamped the pumpkin in black ink and colored it with Copic Markers before fussy cutting it.  Fall was added to the card on a slight angle and the pumpkin was added to the corner.

Tree Pines

Hi everyone, I'm on the Just For Fun Rubber Stamp blog today using some great stamps from the store to create my card, combining both new and old stamps.

I began by inking the Silhouette Pines with several shades of green inks, then inking the ground in several shades of brown ink.  This stamp is 5" x 3 3/4", and while a wonderful size, I wanted it smaller to fit my card.  Using Spellbinders dies, I die cut it to fit my card keeping some of the ground intact.

The card was created from green cardstock and a panel of striped paper was added on top.  After adding a 1" strip across the center of the card, I wrapped twine around the panel.  I matted the image with kraft cardstock and added it to the card with foam adhesives.

Thanks is from Sentiments 1 - a sheet of 29 words for all occasions.

I colored both with images Copic Markers.  Then added the fussy cut image to the main image with glue dots for dimension.  Next, I inked around the panel.

I matted the image with kraft cardstock before adding to a striped card.  The phrase was also matted and added to the corner of the card.

Let It Snow Sign

Hi everyone, I'm on the Proxxon blog today with an upcycled winter snow sign.

Use a stencil to draw a snowman on a left over piece of a 12" x 12" panel of  Smoothfoam.

Using the Proxxon Hot Wire Cutter, I quickly cut off what I did not need.  If you haven't tried the Hot Wire Cutter yet, I will tell you that it heats up quickly and then cuts through Smoothfoam like butter.

After removing the excess panel, I began cutting around the snowman.  The Hot Wire Cutter cuts so smoothly and easily.  Even the tiniest of areas are no problem to cut!  I always save my scraps because you never know when you'll need them!

I had a wood and metal sign that I decided to upcycle so I added gesso to both the snowman and the sign.

Using Plaid Metallic Paints in Antique Gold, Gunmetal Grey, and Black, I painted both the snowman and the sign.

Once the sign was dry, I used a stencil with molding paste to add stars to the background.  Then I added molding paste along the bottom to create the snow background.

I then finished the snowman, adding a carrot nose, a scarf, a pompom and holly to his hat.

Let It Snow was die cut from white cardstock.  While still in the dies, I colored the words with Antique Gold Metallic Paint.  The holly was painted with Green Flash and the berries with Red Flash.

Using Beacon Adhesives, I added all the elements to the sign.  Now I am ready for winter.  Are you?

Wishing you Blessings with Rinea

Hi everyone, have you checked out the Rinea store yet?  You have to see the new line paper foils now available.  I'm on the Rinea blog today with this fall card.

Using Rinea Ghost Ink, I stamped Leaves from Joy Clair about a panel of Marigold/Gold Glossy Foiled Paper.

I cut the panel to fit green cardstock, then used the reverse side of the Marigold/Gold Glossy Foiled Paper  to add a small strip across the center of the card.  Whisker Graphics twine was wrapped around the panel which was then added to the card.

Next, I die cut assorted leaves using Spellbinder dies.  For dimension, I scrunched the leaves with my fingers.

The phrase was stamped and die cut, matted with a larger die and added to the card with foam adhesives.  The leaves were then added around the phrase.

Don't you love those leaves?

ATSM Challenge # 268

Hi everyone.  It's a new challenge at ATSM and this week it's all about Holidays!

I wanted to do something a little different with Santa, so I fussy cut him, added color, then used modeling paste on his beard and for the fur.

Once dry, I added him to to my card with foam adhesives for dimension.
