Merry Bowdabra Christmas Gift

Hi everyone, I'm on the Bowdabra blog with a new Christmas project.  Did you realize that Christmas is only 5 months away?

Isn't this ribbon gorgeous?

It's a perfect match for the pretty gift box decorated with Rinea Foiled Papers in Ruby Starstruck, Gold/Gold Glossy and Emerald/Gold Glossy.

The box was wrapped with Gold/Gold Glossy Foiled Paper, then Ruby Starstruck was placed next.  The phrase from Joy Clair's Holly Jolly Santa stamp set was stamped in Stazon Piano Black ink then die cut and matted on an Emerald circle before being added to the gift box.

Now all I need to do is fill with some goodies and one Christmas gift is done.

Plant a Garden

Hi friends, I've got a card using Stamping Bella's Curvy Girl Gardener.

She was colored with Copic Markers then die cut.

Lawn Fawn dies were used to die cut the top layer of Graphic 45 paper which was wrapped with white cardstock then wrapped with twine.

The twined panel was added to the card on an angle.  The Gardener was die cut, matted with a larger die and added to the card with foam adhesives.  The phrase was added to the left corner.

Hey Friend by Craftyscrappers

Hi friends.  How cute is this stamp set from Craftyscrappers.  It's called  You Are a Legend!

Wanting a simple card, I stamped the feet across the card panel with black ink.

I added the panel to a gray card.  Next, I stamped one of the phrases, punched it out and matted it with a larger scalloped punch, then added it to the card.

Quick and easy!

This is Us

HI everyone, my newest post for Clear Scraps is this wonderful XL Birch Wood Frame.

This panel is approximately 19" x 12" and holds 2 photos.

I began by painting the panel with plum paint.

Next, I used a Fern Stencil to add a design about the panel with modeling paste.

I brushed glue onto the acrylic word title and poured on glitter.  Then I added it between the photos.

Next, I sprayed several shades of blue spray inks about the panel

After slipping the photos inside, I glued the panels together.  But, if you want to switch the photos, consider using glue dots or Velcro dots.

Finally I added some black and white flowers.

Flamingo Fun

Hi everyone I'm sharing a new card on the Just For Fun Rubber Stamp Blog using some great stamps available from the store to create my cards.

Using the Beach Flamingos, I inked them with Versafine Clair Ink in Purple Delight and used Versafine Clair Warm Breeze for the water.

Inking the panel with the same colors, I matted it with purple cardstock.

The Paradise sentiment was stamped with Warm Breeze and matted with purple cardstock before being added to the card.

Etched Beachy Candle Jars

Hi everyone, when I think of summer, I think of  water. beaches and seashells.  If you can't get to the beach, why not surround yourself with all that reminds you of what you are missing.    These Etched Beachy Candle Jars are just what I need.

I began by placing sea shells in each jar then poured resin in each jar until the shells were completely covered.  Once the resin dried, I filled each jar with etchallⓇ dip 'n etch.   After 15 minutes, I poured the  etchallⓇ dip 'n etch back into it's original container because it is reusable.

Next, I spritzed the interior of both jars with different colors of spray inks.  The spray inks color the etched glass.  I placed the jars upside down to allow the excess spray ink to run out.

I decorated the outside of each jar with shells created from the Makin's Clay Seashell push mold and white clay.    Color was added to the shells by lightly inking them then adhering them to the jars.  Mesh was wrapped around the tops.

Using Nuvo Drops, I created a design around the shells and followed the line of the resin.

Candles fit perfectly in the jar openings.  They are easy to place and easy to replace as needed.

What do you think?

Italy Mini Album

Hi everyone, I'm on the Rinea blog today with a mini album.

I wanted to document our recent trip to Italy, so I chose to create a mini album.  I added sapphire to the album cover, then fussy cut Italy from Ebony Starstruck,  Italy and '19 were die cut from Gold/Glossy Foiled Paper using Sizix dies.

Mocha/Gold Glossy Foiled Paper was added to the 2 next pages along with  a strip of Gold/Glossy Foiled Paper.  Rome was die cut from Emerald/Gold Glossy Foiled Paper and added to the left side.  To add additional photos, I die cut several photos with a Lawn Fawn die, and then added them to circles die cut from Gold/Glossy Foiled Paper.

The next pages use Marigold/Gold Glossy Foiled Paper.  The letters were also die cut from Marigold using Sizzix dies and added to each page.  A smaller photo was die cut and added to the right page.  Then Robin's Nest dew drops were added under the photo.

Ebony/Gold Glossy Foiled Paper was added to the next pages.  A  torn strip of Gold Glossy Foiled Paper was added to the left page.  Venice was die cut  and added to the left side.  A smaller photo was die cut and added to the right side.  Then Robin's Nest dew drops were added over the smaller photo.

Jade/Gold Glossy Foiled Paper was used on these two pages.  Again, Sizzix dies were used to die cut Pisa.

The final pages use Emerald/Gold Glossy Foiled Paper plus several die cut photos.

New York Themed Cards

Hi everyone, I've got another project on the Dies R Us blog -  2 New York themed cards in a red, white and blue pallet.

Using the Lawn Fawn Stitched Rectangle Dies, I die cut red and blue cardstock as well as assorted pattern papers to create both cards.

The layers were assembled and added to the cards, one being white and one being red.

I inked a tag shaped stamp with assorted shades of VersaFine Clair Ink, then fussy cut it.  I reinked the stamp and created a second tag.  Each tag were matted with 2 colors of cardstock which were also fussy cut before assembling.

Twine, similar to that found in the store, was added to each tag and each tag was then adhered to a card with 3D foam squares.

Sentiments were stamped with red ink, matted with cardstock and added to each tag.

Please stop by the Dies R Us Store to see all the dies that are available!

Let your spirit take flight

Hi everyone, it's time for the next challenge at Lavinia World Challenges.  Please check it out and join in the fun.

Using the Fairy Couple and Three Dancing Fairies, I stamped them on the Lavinia Spellbound 2 paper with black ink.  I then matted the panel with blue cardstock and wrapped the panel with blue ribbon.

I added the panel to a white card.

I finished by adding stickles to the fairy wings and the stardust.  Love the added glitter.

I stamped the sentiment on white cardstock.  Then I matted it with a scrap of the paper and then cardstock.  It was added to the card with foam adhesives for dimension.

Would love to see what you create for Challenge #5.  The winner of the challenge will receive a $15 gift certificate to Lavinia World to shop for more goodies.   Remember there is a new challenge every other Thursday.  Can't wait to see what you create.

Summer is Better in Flip Flops

Hi everyone, we all know that Summer is better in flip flops.  I'm on the Proxxon blog with a new project featuring flip flops, the best Summer accessory.  With so many Proxxon tools available to use, this project came together quickly.

I drew the flip flops on a wood panel, being sure they were joined in one spot.

Using the Scroll Saw, I cut around the pattern.

I used the Bench Drill Press to create the holes for the twine.

The Disc Sander was used to sand the rough edges.

Then I used the Delta Sander to sand down the edges that the Disc Sander couldn't reach.  This is a great sander.  The design allows you to get into the smallest of spaces.

Now the design was ready, I painted it with Plaid Folk Art paint in Pale Yellow.

Once dry, I used a stencil with Fireworks! Shimmery Craft Spray in Tangelo.

I wanted some more texture and dimension so I placed a floral stencil from The Crafter's Workshop on the flip flops and used modeling paste.

Once the modeling paste had dried, I replaced the stencil and spritzed it with Fireworks Shimmery Craft Spray in Lilac Posies - love this color!

Nothing screams beach like sand and sea shells so I created sea shells from Makin's White Clay and a push mold, then added them to the flip flops surrounded by mini art stones and string.   I used Mod Podge Spray on Adhesive to adhere these elements and added a sprtiz over them to seal them.   Finally, I used a small Adventure stencil from The Crafter's Workshop with modeling paste above the shells and some dew drops from The Robin's Nest about the flowers.
