Happy Graduation with Creative Vision Stamps

Hi everyone, check out a new card I've created using stamps from Creative Vision Stamps.

As graduations near, it's time to create a card for the special graduates in in your life.

 

I've used the Graduation Cap stamp, inking it with both Memento London Fog and Tuxedo Black Inks.  Once stamped, I fussy cut the cap, matted it on black cardstock and fussy cut it again.  The sentiment is from the Enjoy Your Retirement stamp set, which I thought was perfect for a graduation card.

The background is the Geometric 20 Foilables Pattern Pack Toner Sheets onto which I fused Silver Bullet Heat Transfer Foil.  Look at the different colors embedded in the foil!!  I placed the foiled sheet on a black card and then added a black die cut sign for the center onto which I popped the graduation cap.  Then I inserted the sentiment slightly under the graduation cap.

Happy Retirement with Creative Vision Stamps

Hi everyone, I'm thrilled to be showcasing my first card as a member of the Creative Vision Stamps Design Team.   I've created a retirement card using stamps from Creative Vision Stamps.

I began by creating a background using a stencil from Expressionscrafts along with Fireworks! spray inks from Imagine.   I die cut a hole in the lower corner and stamped the phrase from the Enjoy Your Retirement clear stamp set on the bottom layer.  This stamp set 5 stamps and I've used 3 of them on this card.

 

After matting  the panel with green and black cardstock, I realized I had a huge smudge on my background!  No worries, though, as I would be covering this spot with my stamped image. 

 

I stamped the image and colored it with Copic Markers.  For more depth, I fussy cut it and matted it with kraft cardstock.  Then, I restamped and recolored the lizard only as I wanted some dimension  to him.  I cut him out again, inked around him and placed him atop the main image which slightly overlapped the sentiment in the circle.

Bouquet of Foiled Flowers

Hi everyone, Spring is finally coming after a very long winter and there's nothing better than a bouquet of colorful flowers.

Have you seen the Pastels Foiled Paper Variety Pack yet?  It's a great combination of Lavender, Turquoise and Jade, perfect for spring and summer creations.


Die cut Lavender/Gold Glossy Foiled Paper to create a lattice basket using Spellbinders dies.  Die cut Gold/Gold Glossy Foiled Paper and adhere the layers together to create the basket.

Die cut 2 sets of flowers from Jade/Gold, Blush/Gold, Ruby/Gold, and Violet/Gold Glossy Foiled Papers.  Cut the stems from the Jade/Gold die cuts and adhere to the flowers.  Add a second flower on top for additional dimension.  Die cut leaves from Jade/Gold.

White wash a wood sign and allow to dry.  Use Beacon Adhesive to adhere the flowers and leaves to the sign.

Adhere the lattice basket over the flowers, gluing the sides and bottom.  Form the flowers and leaves to fit the sign.

A Spring bouquet now hangs in my room.

Tis the Season

Hi everyone, I'm on the Just For Fun Blog today using some great stamps from the store to create my card.

I know Christmas was 4 months ago, however, I discovered this Christmas Lantern stamp and wanted to use it.

I stamped the image in Memento Tuxedo Black ink, then fussy cut it.  Next, I used Memento Markers to color the image.

Die cutting 2 layers of red cardstock, I placed them atop another panel of red which was added to a card.  The Lantern was then popped onto the card.  "tis the season from the Sentiment 1 stamp set was stamped, matted and added below the Lantern.

Hello Cards with Rinea Foils

Hello everyone, my recent post on the Rinea blog with two very different, yet very similar cards using Rinea Foiled Papers.

I had this amazing Poppy Stamps background die which is a perfect size for creating cards.  Using the die, I die cut Fuscia/Gold Glossy Foiled Paper.  It die cut the foil amazingly well.  Look at all those details!!

I matted the die cut panel on the reverse side so the gold foil would show.

Taking the die cut script hello, I placed it on white card, then added a label around it.

My next card uses Sapphire/Gold Glossy Foiled Paper and the same die; however, this time, I used the die to emboss rather than die cut the panel.  I then added a die cut flourish from Gold/Gold Glossy Foiled Paper, adding it to the left corner.

After matting the panel with white cardstock, I wrapped it with ribbon.  The panel was added to the card with foam adhesives.  HELLO was then die cut separately from Sapphire/Gold Glossy Foiled Paper and added to die cut ovals.

Party Centerpiece/Decorations

Hi everyone, I've used etchallⓇ dip 'n etch to etch a vase that will be used as a party centerpiece/ decoration. 

I began by using etchallⓇ dip 'n etch liquid, submerging the vase completely in the dip 'n etch.  Then I simply waited 15 minutes for the etching and removed the vase.   Since dip 'n etch is reusable, just pour it back to the container.  Rinse the vase and pat dry.

Adhere a strip of ribbon around the top of the vase.  The vase sits nicely in a metal basket.

For fun, create pinwheels from Rinea Foils.   Using flowers and brads, adhere the foiled pinwheels to straws.  Create as many as necessary to fill the vase.

I think these would look lovely for birthday parties and more.

Handmade Specialty Envelopes

Hi everyone, I'm on the Arnold Grummer blog showing you how to create envelopes with the Arnold Grummer Papermaking Kit and Envelope Template.

 

Aren't these envelopes beautiful?

To create the envelopes, use the large Pour Handmold, assemble with the Envelope Template.  Place the Pour Handmold in water.  Add torn strips of paper into a blender with 2 cups of water and blend. 

Pour the slurry into the Pour Handmold and swirl the slurry in the mold.  You want to be sure the slurry covers the entire template.

Remove the mold from the water, unstrap mold, remove the envelope template and place the cover screen (it looks like window screen) on top of the molded paper.  Use a sponge to remove the water from the paper.

Once most of the water has been absorbed, remove the cover screen and template and place a Couch Sheet on top.  The Couch Sheet will absorb more water.  Flip the screen/paper/couch sheet sandwich over to remove additional water from the back.

And this is the result.  Fun shaped envelopes.

Decorate the envelopes as desired.  I added flowers and leaves and a sweet sentiment to each.

Just remember to be a little gentle when using a pokey tool to create a hole for the brad as I found the paper a little delicate.

I think these envelopes make the perfect gift, don't you?  The envelopes are big enough for a handmade card, or perhaps simply add a gift card inside.

ClearScraps Adventure Panel

Hi everyone, Steph Ackerman I've got a new project using the Clear Scraps April kit. This kit includes an acrylic panel and papers from Simple Stories and Photo Play.  



The Clear Scraps 12" x 12" acrylic panels are perfect to use as a base for a scrapbook page or put it into a frame.



I used a sheet of Photo Play for the base, then layered lots of Simple Stories travel papers on top.  Using one photo, I surrounded it with a die cut title and a die cut cruise ship. 

Makes me want to do some more traveling!!!

Birchwood Panels with Clear Scraps

Hi everyone, today I'm sharing some of the fun products that are found in the Clear Scraps April kit. This kit includes 2 birch wood panels and papers and stickers from Simple Stories.



These birch wood panels are 4" x 6" and I chose to create inspiration panels for my desk.



The papers from Photo Play were perfect for these panels as I wanted something bright and happy to display on my desk.  I created layers from the papers to create a fun panel.  The sentiment was die cut from the pattern paper and matted with cardstock.  Flower stickers were added to the panel.



Follow Your Dreams is a more simple panel as it fit the wood panel.  I inked the panel and matted it with cardstock.  Then I added it to striped paper which was then added to the birch wood panel.

Puppy Love with DIgi Doodles Studios

Hi everyone, this is my latest design with images from Digi Doodles Studios.  Digi Doodles Studios has some amazing images and today I'm using Puppy Love.  Isn't it just adorable!!!!

I colored the image with Copic Markers, then die cut using Spellbinders dies.

The image was then matted with a larger die before adding to my card.  I added a die cut trellis under the image.

I then added some Prima flowers to the trellis with brads.

To finish, Hello was added to the corner of the card and some dew drops were added to the flower centers for added dimension.

Happy Birthday with ExpressionsCrafts

Happy Birthday everyone.  I've got some new cards on the ExpressionsCrafts blog.

How cute are these cards using stamps from ExpressionsCrafts?  The backgrounds of each card is a Cuttlebug birthday embossing folder.  To create the pink card, once I embossed the white cardstock, I lightly inked it with Rose Delicata Ink.  The panel was matted with light pink cardstock and adhered to a dark pink card.

I inked the next panel with Brilliance Sky Blue ink.  The panel was matted with light blue cardstock and then adhered to a dark blue card.

The cupcakes were stamped in black ink and colored with Memento Markers.  The cupcake panels were then matted with the same cardstock and added to the card.   I used the Happy Birthday stamp, stamping it in Memento Tuxedo Black ink. 

Now I have birthday cards available when I need them.

Time to Travel with Clear Scraps April Kit Club

It's time to do some traveling with the Clear Scraps April kit.

The acrylic suitcase is so cute and I created a faux crocodile effect with molding paste, then finished it with stickers from Simple Stories.

The interior pages and stickers are from Simple Stories and are perfect for a travel themed album.

I added some tags for more photo ops.

 

 

All that's needed now are those wonderful travel photos.
